New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1255 - I Want Your Origins

ʼWhat was that?ʼ

Ajax was surprised by the sudden system notification in his head as he didnʼt expect the system to say something like that.

ʼDing,

The system doesnʼt like demons. Kill them and get a reward for doing so.

ʼWhat the hell?ʼ

Ajax was annoyed as the system was repeating the same thing and didnʼt give him any valid reason for why the system wanted him to kill the demons who were willing to become his slaves.

ʼGive me a valid reason and I will do that.ʼ

Ajax was adamant about finding out the reason why the system didnʼt want him to take the demons as his slaves.

At the same time, he continued, ʼAlso, I already said you once, I will do whatever I feel like doing and I am not your slave.ʼ

From the beginning, Ajax was doing the missions given by the system for two things. One, he liked the rewards and he wanted to feel the blood rushing fights and battles which he longed for from the time he listened to the stories of Elder Boron.

There was even a time in the past where he opposed the system and helped the residents of the Shixato wilds from the Five elemental world. As a result, his cultivation was decreased by a single level; however, Ajax didnʼt care and felt like protecting the bird tribesmen to repay the previous tribe head Qwerek who gave some good items which saved his life from the old bird monster.

So, he was not following the system instructions if there were no valid reason behind it and he was not a slave to the system to do what it like and avoid what it doesnʼt like.

ʼDing,

…

The system remained silent and didnʼt answer Ajaxʼs question.

ʼWhat happened? You donʼt have a reason or what? Or do you want me to upgrade your level or am I not powerful enough to know the answer?ʼ

Ajax asked a few questions and the system remained silent for a moment before sending a system notification.

ʼDing,

The system doesnʼt like the demons and as long as the host kills them, you will be rewarded with something good.

ʼHuh? Now itʼs time for you to tempt me with the rewards.ʼ

Ajax shook his head; however, he didnʼt reject the systemʼs offer directly because it would be the worst thing to do; instead, he asked, ʼSo, can you tell me what you are going to offer me?ʼ

Since the system always gives random items, Ajax wanted to know the reward that the system would give him for killing the demons.

ʼBased on the reward, I will make my decision to kill the golden demon kings or not.ʼ

This was the thought in Ajaxʼs head which he intentionally thought such that the system would give him a higher reward.

Ajax was not a saint and the same goes for the golden demon kings. They did what they feel right from their perspective and thatʼs how the world works.

In the end, as long as Ajax receives a good reward from the system, he would not hesitate to kill both the golden demon kings as they were not his siblings or kin.

ʼDing,

The system will give you two smaller world cores for killing those two golden demon kings.

ʼTwo smaller world cores?ʼ

Ajax raised his brows for a moment before scoffing, ʼDo you really think they are worth two smaller world cores?ʼ

What Ajax said was right!

As long as those two golden demon kings become his slaves, Ajax could order them to conquer hundreds of smaller demon worlds with their true strength. So, Ajax didnʼt even think before rejecting the systemʼs deal.

ʼDing,

…..

ʼDing,

One normal world core.

The system was speechless at Ajaxʼs bargain skills; however, it quickly changed the reward it would give Ajax for killing the demon kings.

ʼNope..not interested.ʼ

Ajax quickly lost interest in the rewards provided by the system for not killing the golden demon slaves.

One normal world is nowhere near to the value he would get from two golden demon kings.

ʼSystem, even if you can give me a greater world core, I might not kill them. So, you better change the rewards if you really want me to kill them.ʼ

Ajax said a few words to make the system understand the value of the two golden demon kings for him.

One, he could use them as spies in the demon world just like how they make few humans as their spies by tempting them with some rewards.

Two, he would get two loyal high-level king realm demons who would never betray him because of his spirit mark on their demon consciousness.

Three, he uses them to conquer a few smaller demon worlds for him and bring them into his control.

Overall, the system reward was not enough for him to kill the golden demon kings.

ʼDing,

Even if the system wants to give a great world core to you, it has no greater world cores in its possession to give.

ʼDing,

So, other than that, what do you want?

The system also knew that it was impossible to change Ajaxʼs heart with such rewards anymore as he already got the ability to collect those items on his own.

So, it asked what he wanted.

ʼFinally…I was waiting for this day to come where you ask me what I want.ʼ

Until now, even though the system was rewarding with various items, it never asked him what he wanted. So, he always wanted to make the system ask him regarding what he wanted.

With an excited look on his face, Ajax asked, ʼWhy donʼt you tell me your origins?ʼ

ʼDing,

My origins?

The system was a little surprised with Ajaxʼs question as it was unable to tell that Ajax was going to ask it.

ʼLooks l like he has developed a skill to keep his thoughts from me in such a short time.ʼ

These were the thoughts of the system as it continued to think, ʼBoth father and son are monsters.ʼ
