New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 882: I am You And You Are Me

ʼWhy are they not chasing after me?ʼ

Ajax was puzzled when he saw that the demonic creatures which were jumping onto him just a few moments ago were nowhere to be seen.

So, he felt there was something wrong and carefully observed the portal in the distance.

ʼIt looks like a regular portal.ʼ

However, Ajax was unable to find anything wrong with the portal.

ʼShould I test it out before entering the portal?ʼ

After going through many trials and tribulations, Ajax had faith in his intuition. So, even when he was unable to find anything wrong with the portal, he wanted to test it out before entering the portal.

ʼLetʼs see.ʼ

With that thought in his mind, Ajax turned in the same time direction he came from.

ʼRoarʼ

Just as he took a couple of steps, the demonic creatures that had disappeared to who knows where appeared again and roared at him before rushing towards him.

ʼOh no.ʼ

Ajax was shocked to see the sudden appearance of the demonic creatures and hurriedly turned back before rushing towards the portal.

Ajax stopped a few meters away from the portal because he was afraid of being sucked into the portal.

ʼAre they afraid to enter the portal? Or are they intentionally making me enter the portal?ʼ

After testing his theory with the demonic creatures, Ajax came to two conclusions and looked into the endless space where there was no sign of any demonic creature.

ʼDo what your intuition says.ʼ

All of a sudden, Ajax heard the familiar sound in his head and judging from the sound, Ajax could guess that the old voice would not speak any other words because his voice was very weak.

ʼSince everything in this place wants me to enter the portal, I will go in the opposite direction.ʼ

Ajax thought for a few moments and decided to walk in the opposite direction from the portal.

ʼRoarʼ

Without wasting any time, Ajax started walking in that direction and the demonic creature appeared out of thin air and roared at him.

However, they didnʼt attack him; instead, they continued to roar as though Ajax would be fearful of them and go back into the portal.

Ajax was careful as he slowly walked forward and he was ready to rush back into the portal if the demonic creatures tried to attack.

His intuition was telling him that he should not enter the portal because all the surroundings were making him enter the portal.

First, all his skills became invalid.

Second, the demonic creatures that appeared in the direction of the portal disappeared.

Third, the remaining demonic creatures were chasing him into the portal.

Last but not least, no matter how fast the demonic creatures were rushing towards him, they were still a distance away from him.

So, Ajax felt he should not enter the portal.

ʼIt looks like all bark but no bite.ʼ

As expected, all the demonic creatures rushed towards him the moment he walked in the opposite direction; however, they stopped exactly at a distance of 10 meters from Ajax and roared at him.

Finally, Ajax came to the conclusion that all these demonic creatures were fake.

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼAm I dreaming?ʼ

Soon, Ajax walked past the demonic creatures and the moment he walked past them, they disappeared into thin air.

ʼKachaʼ

At the same time, the entire space around Ajax started cracking and shattered like glass before his consciousness transported to another place.

Soon, Ajax found himself floating in the mid-air in blood red-coloured surroundings.

ʼKillʼ

ʼKillʼ

Ajax was hearing only a single word in various volumes like whispering to shouting in his ears; however, there was no one around him.

ʼSince you want me to? kill, why donʼt you appear in front of him, I will start my killing with you.ʼ

Even though Ajaxʼs heart was filled with various emotions, he suppressed them as he bravely spoke into the thin air.

”Trying to be brave on the surface; however, you are just scared to kill anyone.”

Soon, an errie voice resounded in Ajaxʼs ear.

”It is you that is scared to come forward and hidden somewhere.”

Ajax scoffed at the eerie voice as he continued to put on a brave act.

The thing is who would be not anxious if all their cultivation and skills disappeared.

At the same time, who would be not worried if they were threatened by a mysterious being who could control the entire environment around them?

Nevertheless, Ajax replied back to the mysterious being with a scoff thinking that the mysterious being would come out.

ʼHahaʼ

However, a burst of loud laughter resounded in the entire area that made Ajax frown. So, he asked, ”If you are so scared to come in front of him, then send me back from where you picked me up.”

”Fool. I am you and you are me.”

All of a sudden, the huge laughter came to an end and soon, a black coloured silhouette came out of Ajaxʼs spirit consciousness.

The silhouette hovered in front of Ajax and said those words.

As for the silhouette, he looked just like Ajax; however, his eyes were pitch black just like that demonized Ajax who were fighting the huge demon fox.

”What?”

When he saw the sudden appearance of himself right in front of him, Ajax was shocked as he tried to fly back; however, the demonized Ajaxʼs spirit consciousness form was much stronger than the normal Ajaxʼs spirit consciousness form.

So, he was pulled towards the demonized Ajaxʼs spirit consciousness form.

”I am not you and I donʼt know who you are.”

Just looking at the pitch-black eyes of the demonized Ajaxʼs spirit consciousness form, Ajax became anxious before he felt like he was falling into a deep abyss from which he could not return.

”You donʼt know me?”

As for the demonized Ajaxʼs spirit consciousness form, when he heard those words, he scoffed at Ajax before waving his hand and soon a huge mirror screen appeared out of nowhere.
