New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 858: Deputy leaderʼs scheme

”Interesting.”

After hearing the entire story from the young man, the deputy leader of the firebase nodded his head with an interesting look on his face.

”Deputy leader, I will take care of monitoring the Western fox lands. Why donʼt you go and relax?”

The young man knew that the deputy leader of the firebase was a cruel cultivator. In the Western fox lands, bloodshed was already about to start and if the deputy leader watched it, he would make it even more terrible.

So, the young man tried to move the middle-aged man from his seat.

However, the deputy leader was already hooked on the story he heard from the young man. So, why would he stand up?

”You can go back to your cultivation chamber and cultivator. I will take care of this Western fox landsʼ situation on my own.”

After saying his words, the middle-aged man signalled another young man to take the young man from earlier out of the control chamber.

The young man was powerless and with a sigh, he left the control chamber.

ʼIt is the way of the world.ʼ

ʼIt is the way of the world.ʼ

Along the way, the young man muttered the same line to control his emotions.

Actually, he joined the summonerʼs group in order to stop the innocents from getting killed by the powerful cultivators; however, he truly understood only after he joined the summonerʼs group.

After seeing many cruel things done by the summonerʼs group, the young man thought to become powerful and create his own faction where no innocent should be killed.

However, until then, he had to keep his mouth shut and increase his strength.

…..

Back in the control chamber of the firebase, the deputy leader took the control of watching the Western fox lands.

”Letʼs see how I can spice up the things in the Western fox lands.”

Looking at the huge monitor in front of him, the deputy leader muttered to himself.

As for the other young men who were busy watching their own screens, they were scared when they noticed the cruel look on their deputy leader.

For the deputy leader, all those groomed by the summonerʼs group, even himself, are expendable.

However, the beings seen on the monitor screen were even more expendables compared to them

Since the task given to them earlier was already a suicide mission, the deputy leader wanted to play with them.

ʼWhom should I play with?ʼ

The monitor in front of him changed from one fox tribe to another; however, when the grey-furred fox tribe appeared on the screen, the deputy leader raised his brows.

”Why are they not moving towards the Shixato wilds?”

He muttered to himself as he asked the same question to the tribe leader Frey thought of a formation.

”Master, sorry for being blunt but I feel that it is a suicide mission and in the earlier order, it is not mentioned that it is a guaranteed mission. So, I decided to be out of this mission.”

Frey had given a good place for the fire base and the summonerʼs group in his heart. So, he respectfully replied through the formation plate in his hand.

”So, you are not tempted by the rewards from this mission.”

When heard the reply from Frey, the deputy leader revealed an excited smile as he replied to Frey.

”Yes, master. For me, my tribe is more important than the rewards.”

Frey continued to maintain the same respectful look on his face as he replied into the formation plate.

Before he was chosen by Master Red, Frey was just a lowly slave in the demonic fox tribe. In that tribe, the upper echelon of the tribe only valued those who had potential and didnʼt even bother about the average fox tribesmen.

After watching it, Frey swore that if he ever became a tribe leader, he would not be blinded by the momentary rewards if it had the risk of getting killed by his tribesmen.

So, there was no hesitation when he replied into the formation plate.

”Good. You can take rest until you receive another mission.”

The deputy leader nodded his head and praised Frey and ended the transmission with the grey-furred fox tribe.

After ending the transmission, the slight smile on the deputy leaderʼs face disappeared and it was replaced with a cruel smile.

”Activate the voice transmission to all fox tribe leaders except for the grey-furred fox tribe leader.”

Soon, he gave a command to someone besides him.

”Yes, deputy leader.”

The young man who was sitting near the deputy leader stood and moved his hands at an incredible speed before speaking to the deputy leader, ”It is ready.”

After finishing his words, the young man went back to his seat and continued to monitor the deserted lands on his screen.

”Everyone, there is the fire base. Pay your attention for a few moments.”

Nodding his head the young man, the deputy leader started speaking with the 27 tribe leaders groomed by the fire base.

Currently, almost all the tribe leaders were rushing towards the Shixato wilds along with their armies. As soon as they noticed the energy fluctuations from the formation plate, they stopped in their tracks and started listening to the words coming out of it.

”Along with the earlier mission, another bonus mission is released for you.”

When the deputy leader noticed that everyone was paying attention to his words, he continued to speak, ”It has been noticed that one of the tribes groomed by the fire base had betrayed us by helping the leader of the ghost fox tribe. So, the fire baseʼs leader has steeled his heart and gave an order to destroy that fox tribe as a warning to others.”

Saying until there, the deputy leader paused for a moment to give some time for the tribe leaders to digest his words.

As for how the deputy leader knew about the ghost fox tribe, it was the talk of the base when it happened. So, he used that knowledge to destroy the grey-furred fox tribe.

”Which tribe dared to betray the fire base?”

”I am going to destroy that tribe by myself.”

”Without the fire base, there would have been only two fox tribes, how can they bite the hand that gave them food.”

As for the tribe leaders, when they heard that one of the fox tribes betrayed the fire base, they were shocked and became angry before deciding to destroy that fox tribe.

Controlling their emotions, they asked for the name of the fox tribe that betrayed the summonerʼs group.

”It is none other than the grey-furred fox tribe. Master Red was very keen that there should not be a trace of a single grey-furred fox in the five elemental world.”

As soon as he finished his words, the deputy leader cut off the transmission and let the tribe leaders do their thing.

ʼYou want to leave a mission given by the main base? Letʼs see how you and your tribe are going to survive.ʼ

With that thought in his mind, the deputy leader looked at the grey-furred fox tribe with a cruel smile on his face.
