New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 811: Grey-robed fox guardian

”By the way, why did you leave your tribe, Ghost?”

Suddenly, Ajax asked the three-eyed ghost fox about it.

”I was kidnapped by…...”

Soon, the three-eyed ghost fox explained how it was kidnapped by someone and while escaping from them, how he stumbled upon a huge dead spirit beastʼs body.

Later, it was unable to leave that spirit beastʼs body. So, the ghost fox continued to stay inside the dead body while increasing his strength.

Soon, after that, Ajax formed a spirit contract with it and made him his contracted spirit beast.

”Sigh”

By the time the ghost fox finished his story, Ajax could not help but feel sad and he was a little guilty of not taking the ghost fox to his home a little earlier.

”Donʼt worry, we will go and meet your father.”

After hearing the ghost foxʼs entire story, Ajax got to know that Ghost only had his father. So, he patted the ghost foxʼs small head and asked him to not worry because they are finally going to meet his father.

”Master, I suggest, send Twilight and me back into the inner world and only after arriving at my tribe, the Ghost fox tribe, summon me because I still donʼt know who tried to kidnap me.”

Just as they were a few kilometers away from entering the Western fox lands, the three-eyed ghost fox asked Ajax to send him and the dragon back into the inner world.

”Okay.”

Ajax could guess why the ghost fox said those words because the twilight dragon is a pure-blooded dragon that can attract attention.

So, Ajax directly summoned both of them into his inner world before using his lightning cloud steps to land on the ground.

Later he used the first effect of the lightning cloud steps and ran towards the Western fox lands.

Soon, he entered the Western fox lands and followed the same direction which Ghost suggested.

”Human, where are you coming from?”

Ajax was running not too fast or too slow, he was waiting for one of the guardians of the border to appear.

As expected, after entering the western fox lands for a few minutes, he was stopped by a being that looked like a humanoid fox with fox ears and tail.

That cultivator was wearing light grey coloured robes which made him look like an insignificant cultivator.

However, with the help of the system, Ajax could see that the fox guardian had a cultivation of level 8 elite general realm.

As for the fox guardian, he was surprised when he saw a human appear in the Western fox lands; however, that surprise only lasted for a moment because he remembered the words of his tribe leader that humans will continue to appear in their region.

So, he didnʼt think much about it and asked the details of the human as where he was coming from.

”I was coming from the Shixato wilds to meet a friend in this region.”

Ajax replied to the fox guardianʼs question with a polite look on his face because he didnʼt want any trouble just because of some rude gesture.

”Oh”

That fox guardian nodded his head and asked, ”Which tribe are you going to visit? Do you have any insignia from the tribe? So that I can guide you in the exact direction.”

Even though his tribe leader said that humans will continue to appear in their region, if they didnʼt show any insignia belonging to the particular tribe in the western fox lands or if he felt suspicious regarding anything, he should try to stop them.

Also, at the end of the sentence, the fox guardian intentionally added the line in order not to seem impolite as he never knew who the cultivators arriving from the other regions were.

What if he was some kind of big shot who came to trade with the tribes in their region?

This was the thought in the fox guardianʼs mind as he waited for Ajax to take out the insignia of the fox tribe he was going to visit.

ʼAs long as he shows the insignia, I can go back and rest.ʼ

The guardians from the fox tribes are just some old fox men who have already reached their peak and they will not progress any longer in their cultivation.

Moreover, every few people dare to enter the western fox lands even with the insignia of the fox tribes.

So, except for lazing around, they donʼt have anything to do all day.

After following that routine for years, they will get used to it.

That is the reason why the fox guardian wanted to go back as soon as possible to go back to his sleep.

”Here.”

As for Ajax, he felt everything was going smooth as he took out the insignia from his space ring and showed it before saying, ”Ghost fox tribe.”

”Oh. So you came to the Ghost fox tribe.”

The fox guardian who wanted to go back to his sleep casually nodded his head when he saw the insignia in Ajaxʼs and heard him say the tribe same.

”You can go in this direction.”

After saying that, the old fox guardian turned into a medium-sized fox and tried to run back to his resting place.

ʼWait for a second. Did he say that he wants to meet someone from the ghost fox tribe?ʼ

All of a sudden, the grey fox halted in his footsteps and transformed back into a fox man.

”Human, wait for a second.”

As soon as he transformed, he directly asked Ajax to stop for a moment.

”Huh?”

Ajax, who was planning to run in the direction pointed by the grey-robed fox man, stopped and frowned.

”What happened, guardian?”

Nevertheless, since he didnʼt want to bring any attention, he calmly asked the fox man.

”You said, you want to go to the ghost fox tribe, right?”

Earlier, the fox guardian was not paying too much attention to Ajaxʼs words. So, he was once again asked to confirm something.

”Yes, guardian. I even showed you the insignia of the ghost tribe. So, if you excuse me I need to meet someone from that tribe urgently.”

Ajax nodded his head as he replied to the old fox guardian and at the same time, he said that needed to go urgently.

”Who are you going to meet in the ghost fox tribe?”

The fox guardian secretly destroyed a talisman as he asked one more question to Ajax.

”Is there something wrong? Why are you asking me all these questions, fox guardian?”

Ajax felt something was wrong and at the same time, he also noticed that the fox guardian destroyed some talisman; however, he was not worried much because he can leave the five elemental world at any time he wants.

ʼEven though I can leave the five elemental world at any time I want, I should only leave this world, when there is no other option for me.ʼ

While waiting for the old fox guardian to answer his questions, Ajax silently thought in his head.

”Just answer them; otherwise, I will kill you right now.”

As soon as he finished his words, the grey-robed old man revealed his cultivation in order to intimidate Ajax.
