Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 242. You Know Why I Called You, Right? (1)

There was no pride or anything of the sort.

The king bowed his head and apologized.

Although it was a matter handled over a communication line and not publicly disclosed, this was an extraordinary event. However….

Prioritize practical benefits over justification.

When you bow, bow completely.

This was the creed of the current king.

He could not commit the foolish act of ruining practical benefits for the sake of useless face or authority.

Perhaps because the Kingdom of Atronia was not a particularly powerful nation, a monarch with such a flexible mindset might have emerged.

-Hmm….

Patrick’s voice could be heard from beyond the communication sphere.

What should I do? What should I do for you?

It was a voice that carried the nuance of a person in an overwhelmingly advantageous position, hesitating between mercy and punishment.

The king became tense.

He had bowed his head.

Although it was confidential, he had humbled the pride of a nation’s monarch and sought reconciliation with Patrick.

If Patrick didn’t take his hand here….

‘Absolutely not.’

To the anxious king, Patrick’s voice came from beyond the communication sphere.

-This is the last time.

“……”

The king let out a sigh of relief.

And Patrick’s words continued.

-If Your Majesty the King betrays our family’s trust again and unilaterally forces sacrifice and patience, a new independent nation might just be born within the Kingdom of Atronia.

Depending on how one heard it, it was a dangerous statement that could be considered treason. But the king did not point that out.

‘Thank goodness. What a huge relief.’

He was just relieved.

Having avoided the worst-case scenario, the king first let out a sigh of relief and said.

“What do you plan to do with Marquis Panola?”

-Shall I hand him over to you? Or should I just kill him myself?

The king thought for a moment and then said.

“If possible, hand him over.”

-Hoh, you’re surprisingly looking out for him.

“Don’t misunderstand. To resolve the problem, don’t we need a scapegoat to show to the public?”

-Aah…. If that’s the case, then well.

Patrick understood immediately.

If Patrick were to kill Marquis Panola, it might be satisfying, but there would be nothing to gain.

But if the royal family punished him, the story would be different.

By having the royal family directly punish Marquis Panola for misunderstanding the royal will and abusing his authority, they could publicly appeal that this incident was not the will of the royal family.

It might not seem like much, but not neglecting such small and trivial justifications and piling them up one by one was the job of a politician.

-Understood. I’ll send him over. In return, I hope there won’t be any more troublesome matters because of that man.

“I promise you that.”

Marquis Panola was a 6-star knight and a key figure who wielded considerable influence over the domestic military aristocrats.

But if the comparison was with the Double Dragon, he wasn’t even worth placing on the scales.

‘It was about time to get rid of him anyway. A central figure that unites the military aristocrats is too dangerous.’

Thus, the fate of Marquis Panola was decided. But a bigger problem remained.

“What are your intentions for the Harbor Kingdom’s delegation?”

-I will handle it myself.

Patrick answered curtly.

At that, the king nodded and said.

“I have granted the Schneider fiefdom the authority to independently exercise diplomatic rights with external foreign powers.”

-Oh, you remember that well.

It was an authority Patrick had gained by lying down in the royal court and throwing all sorts of tantrums.

He had been very reluctant to give it at the time, but now, his position had actually improved.

He could neatly sidestep the difficult mediation between the Schneider fiefdom and the Harbor Kingdom.

No, it might even be an opportunity.

The current situation was that Patrick had caught the Harbor Kingdom’s weakness and was holding the prince hostage.

In that case….

“You’ll handle it well on your own, but if you need the royal family’s help, just let me know. Son-in-law.”

If you’re going to get a piece of the Harbor Kingdom, let us get a spoonful too.

-Hahaha. What need is there for the royal family to step in? Just maintaining neutrality is more than enough.

Hey, if you carelessly try to get a spoonful, you might get your wrist broken.

“Hahaha. Is that so?”

-Hahaha. That’s right.

‘Stingy bastard.’

‘What? What? What?’

And so….

The resentment with the royal family was resolved for now, right then and there.

It was decided that Marquis Panola would be returned to the royal family, and the matter would be concluded with the royal family personally punishing him.

For Patrick, this was an exceptionally lenient way of handling things. But….

“The Harbor Kingdom bastards won’t end this leniently.”

“What are you planning to do?”

At his father’s question, the corner of Patrick’s mouth twisted up.

“That bastard, Prince Dawson or whatever, dared to kidnap my mother and tried to make my father kneel and apologize, right?”

“……”

“If I don’t pay this back, I’m not Patrick Schneider. I will pay it back at least 100 times over.”

It was unsettling.

From Count Schneider’s experience, whenever Patrick got involved to this extent, things never ended quietly.

This was the son who had single-handedly gone to war with the Kaisar Kingdom just because their actions pissed him off.

But now, with the Harbor Kingdom, who dared to touch his family, as the opponent, he couldn’t even begin to guess what he would do.

Patrick shrugged his shoulders and said.

“For now, please prepare the fief’s knightly order. And I’ll talk to the orcs and elves myself. To the Tower of Truth as well. And….”

Patrick scratched his head and then said.

“It’ll take some time to prepare. So, before that, I’ll just tidy up the surroundings a bit.”

“Tidy up the surroundings?”

“Yes. There’s something I absolutely must take care of.”

The expression on Patrick’s face as he said this was indescribably subtle.

***

Patrick Schneider’s room.

There, Patrick had summoned three people. The individuals he summoned were….

April, Isabella, Elione.

The three greatest beauties of the Schneider fiefdom were gathered in one place.

With an extremely anxious air about them.

April, whose pupils were trembling as if an earthquake had struck.

Isabella, who was muttering to herself in deep thought.

Elione, who was anxiously biting her nails.

Why were these three acting like this?

The reason can be understood by listening to what Patrick is about to say.

“You know why I called you, right?”

At Patrick’s single phrase, the three of them flinched simultaneously. And then….

“I was wrong, Young Master.”

“I don’t remember! I really don’t!”

“Uh… ububuh… ubuh….”

It was the reaction of someone who had clearly been caught after doing something very wrong. Patrick looked at the three of them and said.

“As I said before, I was unconscious for a year, but that was to manage my Qi Deviation… no, you wouldn’t understand even if I put it like that. Anyway, I was conscious.”

“……”

“……”

“……”

The complexions of the three turned pale.

And Patrick continued to speak….

“Of course, I know that the three of you took turns guarding me at night. And I also know what happened then.”

“……”

“……”

“……”

Now, on their beautiful faces, despair was etched beyond agitation.

And Patrick spoke….

“Let’s start in order, from the mildest flavor. April.”

“Yes. Sir!”

April, the first to be called.

She answered with the attitude of a new recruit full of military discipline. And Patrick, placing a hand on his forehead, continued his explanation.

“You, I mean.”

***

A completely isolated space.

In this space, there were only the soundly sleeping Patrick and April.

Even when April extended her senses to their maximum, there was no one around.

In other words, there were only the two of them in this space.

And Patrick was sleeping, oblivious to the world.

Seeing this, April cautiously expressed the feelings she had been desperately suppressing.

“Yo… Young Master. I… I love you.”

Naturally, there was no reply.

But April was overwhelmed, having expressed her feelings for the first time.

A feeling that was never permitted.

A feeling she had suppressed, telling herself she must know her place, just as she had once told Isabella.

She expressed that feeling for the first time. And….

“I love you. I truly love you.”

1 AM.

“I love you more than anyone in the world. I love you more than the whole world. I love you so much it’s irreplaceable.”

5 AM.

“I love you, Young Master. I’ve loved you since the moment we first met. Love….”

7 AM.

“I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. Love….”

As if possessed, April was there, continuously whispering her love by Patrick’s bedside.

That had continued for the entire past year.

Continuously.

***

“…April.”

“Are you trying to brainwash him?”

Isabella and Elione looked at April with expressions of astonishment.

There was no one in the Schneider fiefdom who didn’t know her feelings, but still….

“I thought I was going to get a neurosis. Is this a new form of torture?”

“Please… kill me.”

April was covering her face with both hands, unable to even lift her head.

Patrick looked at her and let out a sigh.

Then he looked at the other two and said.

“You two have no right to scold April. I told you, right? I started with the mildest flavor.”

At that, the two women’s eyes began to tremble again.

And April slightly lifted her head.

‘What on earth did they do?’

Isabella gazed blankly at Patrick’s sleeping face.

“Just how long are you going to sleep?”

Naturally, there was no reply. But she spoke as she pleased.

“In fairy tales, there’s a set way to wake up a sleeping princess.”

“……”

“It’s worth a shot, right?”

“……”

“I’m not doing this with any ulterior motives. This is purely a method of treatment…. And anyway, there’s no harm in doing it, so I’m just giving it a try. Yes. That’s right.”

Who was she making excuses to when no one was listening?

Anyway, after finishing her self-rationalization, Isabella’s lips gradually descended. And then….

Smooch.

It was a light kiss.

Naturally, Patrick did not wake up from that.

In the first place, breaking a curse with a kiss is just a story from a romantic fairy tale. Therefore….

“Maybe it will work if I do it more intensely.”

Her self-rationalization was reinforced.

And what followed was….

Smooch, smooooch! Smooooooooch!

“Haa…. Haaaah…. You’re still not waking up?”

So, fairy tales and reality are….

“I’ll try doing it for longer.”

Smoooooooooooooooooooooooooooch….

I don’t even know anymore.

***

Patrick looked at Isabella with a pitiful expression and said.

“They say a quiet cat gets the first strike on the hearth….”

“I don’t think that’s the saying.”

“Is that important?”

“……”

“No, if you’re going to do it, do it in moderation. Do you know I almost actually died from suffocation while you were kissing me? About three times.”

“…But you didn’t die in the end, did you?”

At Isabella’s excuse, Elione and April rose up.

“Listen to this princess talk!”

“You went too far, Princess.”

No matter what, she was assigned for security and caregiving, so what on earth was she doing?

At that, Isabella screamed back.

“What? I can kiss my fiancé if I want to, can’t I? What? What’s your problem?”

Perhaps because she had the justification of being his fiancée?

Her situation was a little better.

But the one who was truly serious was not her.

“El~li~o~ne~.”

Patrick said, clutching the back of his neck as if his blood pressure was rising just from the thought.

At that, Elione flinched.

Patrick’s gaze towards her even contained a hint of fear.

“You. You…. You are really….”

***

“Hoo… huhuhuhu….”

“……”

“We’re finally alone, aren’t we?”

Elione licked her lips and approached Patrick.

She then unfastened the belt at her waist and took off her clothes one by one. Her figure, clad in flimsy silk lingerie, was revealed.

And in that state, Elione climbed on top of Patrick, her eyes swirling into whirlpools as she said.

“I·fi·nal·ly·caught·you.”

“……”

For a moment, goosebumps erupted all over Patrick’s body.

“Then, I’ll begin.”

Begin what?

There was no time to ask.

Elione did \_\_\_\_ to Patrick’s \_\_\_\_, then with her \_\_\_\_ she \_\_\_\_ her own \_\_\_\_, and after \_\_\_\_ she \_\_\_\_ \_\_\_\_ \_\_\_\_ the \_\_\_\_….

“……”

“……”

“……”

Gazes filled with a mixture of fear and astonishment poured onto Elione.

April was the first to speak.

“Perverted elf.”

That was it.

Elione, flared up, retorted.

“What? What what? I didn’t go all the way, did I? I just got a taste, right? That much is okay, isn’t it?”

“At that point, it seems like you went further than going all the way.”

“If I didn’t, then I didn’t!”

“Super perverted elf.”
