Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 205. They Just Don’t Listen (3)

The identity of the masked man who revealed himself was a Demon.

With his mask and upper garment blown away by April’s attack, his identity could finally be confirmed.

The horns on his head and the deep black pupils.

And the unique tattoos of the Demon race engraved on his body.

It was somewhat expected, but the identity of that enemy was indeed a Demon.

It was guessed from the moment he corrupted the Elves and turned them into Dark Elves, and summoned Demonic Beasts from the Demonic Realm.

Only a Demon was capable of such things. But…

“How dare a race banished to the Demonic Realm long ago show their faces in the middle realm!”

“I’ll kill you.”

“You filthy, accursed thing!”

Guessing something in your head and facing it directly were two different things.

Everyone who confirmed the Demon’s existence went wild with rage.

Seeing them, the Demon snorted and said.

“Pathetic insects, barking without any ability.”

He bared his teeth and smiled a murderous smile.

He couldn’t care less about trash like them.

With the Elves unable to use spirits, he could wipe them all out by himself if he so wished.

The only one here who posed a threat to him was…

“Human woman.”

“……”

“State your name.”

“April.”

When April stated her name, he nodded his head and said.

“My name is Brody. A valiant warrior of the Demon race.”

“……”

“April, I officially acknowledge you as my enemy. Therefore…”

The Demon race was a race that worshipped strength.

Even if they were an enemy, they showed a minimum level of courtesy to the strong. However…

“I will do my best to kill you painfully.”

The way they showed that courtesy was quite unique.

“Hoooo…”

Receiving the Demon’s undisguised killing intent, April did not waver at all.

She just regulated her breath and prepared for the next moment.

The next moment.

The next sword form would be the final sword of her life, unleashed while she was still alive.

It was fine.

She had sworn after being saved by Patrick that day.

That she would dedicate her everything to him.

So there were no regrets or lingering attachments.

If it could be even a speck of help to his future, would her life be worth regretting?

She drew up the Innate Qi from the depths of her dantian. And she said to Brody.

“Go on, try it.”

At the very least, she would take that Demon with her as a companion in death for the price of her life.

A look of deadly resolve settled in her eyes.

“Magnificent.”

Did the opponent also sense April’s resolve?

“You are worthy, April.”

Brody reached his hand into the air and said.

“Grau.”

Then something appeared, breaking through the space from the void.

What appeared was a sword.

The blade was a turbid, dark red color.

A living eye was embedded in the guard of the sword, glaring wildly.

The hilt was made of the living flesh of some creature.

The sword exuded an aura as ominous as its appearance.

And Brody, holding the sword, said to April.

“Consider it an honor. For a mere human to offer her blood and soul to my beloved sword…”

“……”

April did not answer.

Her body and mind were focused solely on the next move.

On the next move that she would unleash by burning her life.

“……”

“……”

The noisy surroundings faded away.

The battle between the Elves and the Demonic Beasts was still in full swing, but the two could not hear it.

They had entered a world of their own.

No other distractions were heard.

In that silent world of martial arts, the first to move was Brody.

The moment he took a step forward.

Hwiiiiik.

Space folded.

And the distance of over 20 meters between the two narrowed in a single step, reaching right in front of her.

All Demons possessed a unique power of their own.

Brody’s power was this.

Spatial distortion.

Having closed the distance in an instant, he swung his sword, filled with ominous Demonic Energy, down at April.

‘Got her.’

The moment he was certain of victory…

“……!”

Brody felt a shiver run down his spine.

April was smiling faintly.

‘The one who’s caught is you.’

[This thing. I’ll teach it to you, but never use it.]

[Why not?]

[Because it’s not a technique a human can unleash and live.]

[…….]

[Just know that something like this exists.]

[If that’s the case, isn’t it better not to learn it?]

[I was originally going to do that. But your talent is too precious. For you, just knowing this will greatly enhance your understanding of the sword.]

She had definitely learned it that way.

To learn it as a guide but never to unleash it.

But in this situation, she had no choice.

‘Young Master. Please…’

[ Twin Dragons Eight Sword Forms: Eighth Form: Final Secret Art: Dragon God’s Reign Un… ]

“You really don’t listen.”

“……!”

A voice was heard in the middle of her unleashing the technique.

April and Brody.

Another powerhouse who had casually stepped into this domain of martial arts created by only two strong individuals.

There was no need to wonder who this was.

Jjeo-eong!

“Keoheok!”

Kaaang!

A streak of light sent Brody flying and simultaneously landed lightly, blocking April’s sword path.

A divine-like movement that accomplished two actions at the same time.

Only one person was capable of such a feat.

His appearance made them cheer.

“Sir Patrick!”

“It’s Sir Patrick Schneider!”

“Patrick, you bastard!”

It was the appearance of Patrick Schneider.

***

Patrick, who had lightly sent Brody flying, looked around and scowled.

“What in the world is all this chaos? Wasn’t the battle over?”

Immediately after coming out of the World Tree, Patrick had no time to grasp the situation.

He felt the presence of a battle from afar and had to rush over.

Fortunately, the barrier created to protect the World Tree was gone.

So he could reach his destination just by running straight.

When he arrived at the scene, the first thing he saw was a horrifying sight.

“April.”

“Yes, Young Master.”

“I believe I told you not to use that?”

“……”

Patrick questioned April with a stern expression.

April, realizing she had disobeyed an order, avoided Patrick’s gaze.

“It seems like you’ve been ignoring my orders a lot lately. Am I mistaken?”

“I’m sorry, Young Master.”

Patrick swept his hair back.

There were one or two things he wanted to say to April. But the top priority right now was not that.

Right now, at this very moment, the Elves were fighting fiercely against an unknown monster. So…

“We’ll talk about you later.”

As soon as his words ended, Patrick turned into a streak of light.

That flash of light first rushed towards the giant wolf that was rampaging among the Elves. And then…

Chwaaaak!

“Kyehaeeng!”

The Demonic wolf that had been biting the Elves and breathing fire was cleanly sliced in half.

The wolf, whose waist was cut in two, let out a final death cry, fell, and twitched.

“Next.”

Immediately moving his body, Patrick appeared on the head of the one-eyed giant that was trampling the Elves indiscriminately with its four arms.

Patrick stood arrogantly on the head of the rampaging giant.

That enraged the giant.

“Kwoooargh!”

The one-eyed giant reached out its hands to tear apart the impudent human who dared to stand on its head. But…

Seogeok! Seogeok!

The two arms that had reached for Patrick fell to the ground with a clean cutting sound.

“Kwoooargh!”

The one-eyed giant screamed in pain.

But the pain did not last long.

“Farewell.”

Chwaaaak!

Two streaks of light fell vertically, neatly trisecting the giant’s body.

The monster collapsed, its entrails spilling out.

And the last one left was the giant eagle, but…

Puuuuk!

“Kweeeeeek!”

Just in time, the battle was decided.

Riman Ciera, who had been fighting that giant eagle from the beginning, had finally succeeded in plunging his sword into the creature’s body.

The monstrous bird’s scream of pain.

The creature tried to breathe lightning from its mouth as if to take him down with it, but Riman was faster.

“Ignil! Ragios!”

The attributes of fire and wind rode his sword and pierced into the enemy’s body. And then…

Peeooong!

The body of the giant eagle monster swelled up and then exploded in a spectacular burst.

Having finished the enemy like that, Riman landed on the ground with difficulty and caught his breath.

“Hoooo… I won.”

“Ooh, you’re earning your keep.”

Patrick clapped his hands at the sight.

Riman said to Patrick.

“Patrick, you said you went inside the World Tree, what happened?”

“Ah? That? It’s a long story…”

Kwaaaaaang!

Demonic Energy exploded in the distance.

Seeing that, Patrick slung his twin swords over his shoulder, tapped them lightly, and said.

“Let’s deal with that first and then talk.”

And he slowly walked towards the direction where the Demonic Energy was exploding.

The urgent fire was put out.

Now, it was time for the main event.

***

Brody, who had been struck by Patrick’s blow, couldn’t believe it.

He, a Demon, being attacked like this in the middle realm?

On top of that, it seemed he had even lost consciousness for a moment.

This was impossible.

This humiliation. This disgrace.

It was absolutely unacceptable.

“Uwaaaaaaaah!”

Kwaaaaaang!

He stood up, emitting an explosive burst of Demonic Energy.

And looking at Patrick walking leisurely towards him, he said.

“Who are you?”

To Brody’s question, Patrick answered with a tone full of nonchalance.

“I’m Patrick Schneider. Why?”

At that, Brody’s eyebrow twitched.

“Right. You’re that…”

“Oh, I’ve gotten pretty famous now. Seeing as everyone knows me just by my name.”

Patrick nodded his head and muttered.

And aiming his sword at Brody, he said.

“So, who are you? What kind of guy are you to be making this mess here? Huh?”

“My name is Brody. A glorious warrior of the Demon race.”

“A Demon… Ah, so that’s why you have horns. Your eyes are weird too.”

Only then did Patrick nod his head upon seeing Brody’s horns.

“I was thinking of a human story where you were abandoned by your parents because of your horns, went astray, and dedicated yourself to Black Mages to reach this point. I guess I don’t need to feel sorry for you.”

“How dare you… a mere human, insult me, a Demon?”

“Is there a law that says humans can’t insult Demons?”

“……”

There wasn’t. There was no such law.

At Patrick’s words, Brody scowled and said.

“I have no intention of joking around with you. You dared to interfere in my duel, so you must be prepared.”

“Prepared? Eh… Do I really need to do that?”

“……”

“That kind of thing, you see, is for the one getting beaten, not the one doing the beating. So the one who needs to be prepared here is you.”

“How dare you…”

“You sure love that ‘how dare you’.”

Patrick sighed and then his demeanor changed.

“The conversation ends here.”

“……”

At Patrick’s changed demeanor, Brody also shut his mouth.

The human who had been joking around casually just a moment ago had changed his atmosphere.

The sharp and refined aura that Patrick emitted made even Brody, a Demon, tense up.

“From now on…”

Patrick’s figure disappeared.

And from behind Brody, Patrick’s voice was heard.

“It’s time to talk with our bodies.”

Brody reacted instinctively.

The moment he felt the attack coming to slice him into a cross, he moved his body to dodge.

If it were an ordinary attack, he would have taken it with his body, trusting in his Demonic Energy, but…

“Kuk…”

Brody quickly folded space and moved, dodging Patrick’s attack.

He had instinctively realized that he should not block this attack.

And from behind, Patrick’s voice was heard.

“You’re showing me something interesting.”

“I’ll make you know your place!”

And Brody shouted loudly and rushed at Patrick, and the two began to exchange fierce sword strikes.

Kwang! Kwang! Kwajik! Kwaaaang!

Patrick’s Aura Blade and Brody’s Demonic Energy collided head-on.

As they fiercely exchanged sword strikes, Brody’s blood ran cold.

‘What kind of power is this…’

It was a destructive power incomparable to that of the human woman named April.

No, it wasn’t just that the destructive power was superior. This…

The very nature of the Aura was different.

If he had tried to block the previous attack just by trusting in his Demonic Energy, the fight would have been over long ago.

“Good. You have skill, is that it?”

“……”

“Then I’ll treat you accordingly.”

And Brody began to fight in earnest, using his abilities in tandem.

A blow fell to split Patrick’s head.

When Patrick moved his feet to dodge the attack, Brody folded space and moved to take Patrick’s back.

And the attack that followed without hesitation flew, aiming for Patrick’s neck.

Shiiiik!

A decisive move.

But Brody’s sword only cut through the air. Patrick had dodged the sword by lowering his stance.

And as Patrick’s body rotated halfway back, the sword in his right hand split into three like lightning.

“Hup!”

High, middle, and low.

Faced with Patrick’s sword energy aiming for his entire body at once, Brody chose to dodge by folding space rather than blocking.

As he appeared in the space behind, Patrick’s sword stretched out like a flash of light.

“Haaap!”

Brody did not dodge that flash of light and swung his sword head-on to counter it.

Kwaaaaaang!

A head-on collision of power and power.

Patrick and Brody stepped back to offset the shockwave and landed on the ground. And as soon as their feet touched the ground…

Shiiik!

Peeooong!

One ran, folding space, and the other kicked off the ground and became a flash of light.

“Oh, World Tree…”

“Was he this strong?”

“A swordsman who can fight one-on-one with a Demon and not be pushed back…”

Watching Patrick fight Brody without being pushed back at all, the Elves were astonished.

Rumors about the Double Dragon had reached the Elves’ ears.

But they had thought that rumors were just rumors.

They had thought that no matter how strong he was, it was just the humans making a fuss.

They had thought that once the Elven race’s World Tree was normalized and the Elven Knights could display their full capabilities, there would be someone in the Elven race who could match the Double Dragon.

But Patrick’s current appearance was shattering such illusions of the Elves.

That Demon named Brody was undoubtedly a high-ranking Demon.

It was clear just from the power he used and the presence of the Demonic Energy he emitted.

He was not some nobody, but a genuine Demon.

He was a powerful enemy that would require the full force of their race and still incur massive losses to deal with. But…

Kwang! Kwang!

“Kuk… this human bastard!”

Patrick was fighting on equal footing with such a Brody. No, rather than equal, Brody had been pushed back one-sidedly from the beginning.

He was desperately holding on using his powers, but the basic difference in skill was clear.

Patrick was overwhelming Brody, who was moving by folding space, with just pure speed.

And finally…

“Keoheok…”

Patrick’s mid-section spinning back kick, which was unexpectedly thrown in between a series of sword attacks, landed squarely on Brody’s abdomen.

The impact sent Brody flying far back, and he coughed up blood.

‘What kind of kick is this…’

He wasn’t hit by an Aura Blade, but a shock as if his internal organs were being crushed rushed in.

Brody swallowed the blood rising in his throat and desperately tried to regain his balance.

In front of him, Patrick appeared silently like a mirage.

The moment Brody instinctively tried to swing his sword, Patrick’s body dropped. And at the same time…

Shiiiik!

Patrick’s body, spinning like a top, swept Brody’s legs with a skillful low kick.

It wasn’t an attack meant to inflict damage, but one meant to sweep his center of balance and make him fall.

This was not a technique that could be withstood with Demonic Energy.

“Kuk…”

Brody fell backward, his head hitting the ground first. And in his eyes…

“Die.”

He saw Patrick, who was already above him, about to plunge his reverse-gripped sword down.

“Dammit!”

Brody hastily used his power to fold space and simultaneously rolled his body to the side.

As a result, he narrowly dodged, and Patrick’s sword was deeply embedded in the ground.

“This is quite interesting.”

Patrick was impressed, seeing Brody, who had just rolled half a turn but had fled more than 10 meters away.

Should this be called a new concept of The Infernal Dragon?

It was a move that could change the perception of The Infernal Dragon if it were popularized in Jianghu.

Patrick licked his lips and savored the taste.

And Brody got up and looked at Patrick with a calm killing intent.

“Impressive.”

“I know.”

“Patrick Schneider. I’ve heard your name, but I never thought you’d be this strong.”

“I told you I know.”

“You’ve clearly surpassed the 7-star realm that humans talk about. Amazing.”

“I keep telling you I know, but you keep repeating yourself. Can you stop flapping your gums and get back to the sword fight?”

Despite Patrick’s provocation, Brody did not explode in anger.

Just like with April before, he had acknowledged Patrick as a true rival.

“You should consider it an honor, Double Dragon.”

Brody changed his stance.

He brought his sword to his side, slanting it, and said to Patrick.

“You’re the first human I’ve used this technique on.”

“Oh, looks like you have a hidden card…”

Shiiiik!

Patrick’s words were cut short.

The moment Brody swung his sword from a distance in a surprise attack, the slash stretched out and flew towards Patrick at high speed.

An attack that should never have reached from a distance of over 10 meters came stretching out.

A surprise attack that completely caught him off guard.

The power contained within it was also unusual.

‘Got him.’

Brody was certain of victory.
