Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 223. The High Orc Army (1)

The safety of the pioneer city, Ava, was not yet secured.

Developing farmland in this situation?

Normally, it was something that should be called madness.

Even Patrick had thought it was impossible for now.

But the situation changed.

The reason was due to the change that occurred as ships came and went along the Moana River waterway.

Moana River.

Right now, this place was like the lifeblood for maintaining the pioneer city.

It had to be managed strictly so that not even a one-in-a-million incident would occur.

So Patrick paid a lot of attention.

He had Elven outposts built along the Moana River to keep monsters from even coming near, and to prevent any potential danger, he took every precaution with the armament of the ships traversing the waterway.

However.

As if to render these preparations meaningless, the Moana River basin was quiet, with monsters not even venturing close.

It wasn’t that there were none at all, but the cases of them attacking the transport ships were few and far between.

And this was with hundreds of ships coming and going every day.

It was a strange thing.

The surroundings of the pioneer city, Ava, were still teeming with monsters, requiring daily subjugations to continue.

So why was the rear, the Moana River basin, so peaceful?

When asked about this phenomenon, the 5th Sage gave an answer.

“It’s probably because of you.”

“Because of me?”

“Aren’t you going out every day and slaughtering the monsters around the pioneer city?”

“That’s right. What can I do when it feels like a disaster will strike otherwise.”

This damn Great Forest truly had an endless stream of monsters. However….

“For water to overflow, it must first fill from the bottom and pass the middle. Isn’t that the way of nature?”

“……?”

“Hohoho. Still don’t get it?”

“Can you explain it a bit more simply? Twisting your words and making them hard to understand is the forty-eighth thing I hate.”

Must be nice. Having so many things to hate.

The 5th Sage let out a sigh and explained calmly.

“The Kingdom of Atronia is a nation that defends against the Great Forest, but among them, the ones who suffered the most from monsters were the fiefdoms of the East. The other fiefdoms in the rear were relatively peaceful. Isn’t that so?”

“That’s true.”

Only when a truly national disaster-level monster invaded and caused a ruckus did they mobilize the entire army; before that, the fiefdoms in the rear were relatively peaceful.

At least they didn’t suffer from monster invasions every day like the other fiefdoms in the East.

Why was that?

The 5th Sage asked the reason.

“What was the reason the other fiefdoms could be relatively safe?”

“That’s because our East was blocking them… Ahhh.”

Only then did Patrick realize.

In a word, the monster front line that had formed while living alongside the Great Forest had shifted greatly to the east.

Looking just at the vicinity of Ava, Patrick was competing fiercely against the monsters, but in the end, as long as Ava didn’t fall, the rear behind it had secured relative safety.

“No, this isn’t a war between nations, it’s about dealing with the overflowing monsters in the Great Forest, but a front line is forming like this?”

“I also find it surprising. But since Ava was built…”

“Ahem, where do you get off calling someone else’s mother by her name so freely?”

“…….”

You’re the one who named the city, you crazy bastard.

The 5th Sage let out a sigh and said.

“After the pioneer city Ava was built, monster attacks on the Schneider fiefdom have completely ceased, have they not?”

“That’s right.”

“It might be a coincidence, but you’ve accurately pinpointed the most important flow in the movement of monsters. Thanks to that, the rear of this pioneer city Ava where we are has secured relative safety.”

“Wait a minute. Then… although we might be suffering here, the land behind us is safe, is that what you’re saying?”

“Not completely, but you should see it as almost so.”

“It’s safe? Then we can’t just leave it be.”

Patrick came to a conclusion.

If you’ve obtained safe land, shouldn’t you do something with it?

Therefore….

“That’s why I want to start farming like this.”

Patrick moved his hand along the map.

The vast area starting from a little away from the rear of the pioneer city Ava, stretching all the way along the Moana River basin to the Schneider fiefdom….

“I’m going to clear it all out and turn it into farmland.”

He said.

And Aron, who heard this explanation, said.

“It’s vast. An area of this size is wider than any breadbasket in the East, no, in the Kingdom of Atronia.”

“Right? Plus, it’s near the river, so if we divert the water, it’s great for building farmland.”

“But there is a problem. This vast area you want to cultivate is all jungle. To clear this land, you will need a massive amount of manpower.”

“Don’t worry. When it comes to civil engineering…”

“We’ve reached our limit.”

Patrick was about to say that civil engineering could be done by grinding down the mages, but the 5th Sage quickly answered before he could.

He said, grinding his teeth.

“From the construction of the pioneer city Ava to the construction of the Moana River waterway, the mages have already been fully mobilized. And now you’re telling us to create farmland on top of that?”

“…….”

“You might as well kill me!”

The 5th Sage said resolutely with bloodshot eyes.

Faced with his words, which contained the collective will of the mages whose dark circles had reached their chins due to overwork, Patrick had no choice but to take a step back.

“Well, if that’s the case, it can’t be helped. For the time being, please focus on what you were doing.”

As Patrick obediently backed down, the 5th Sage let out a sigh of relief.

But Aron, on the contrary, said with a worried tone.

“Without the help of magic, it could take years just to clear farmland of this size.”

“Well, that’s if ordinary humans do it.”

“Umm…”

“I was thinking we were a bit short on manpower anyway. I’ve recently given orders to supplement our workforce.”

“Supplement the workforce?”

“Yes. Well, to be precise… should I say supplementing the Orc-force?”

“…What?”

What is this psycho planning to do now?

* * *

The Great Forest is a paradise for monsters.

But it’s not that this monster paradise is completely devoid of intelligent races.

For example, the Orcs.

The Red Rock Tribe now lives as neighbors to the Schneider fiefdom, but they were originally a tribe that lived within the Great Forest.

These natural-born warriors somehow managed to survive and live on through the adversities of the Great Forest.

And it was the same for the other tribes.

Kwaaaang!

The peaceful Black Tooth Tribe.

Hundreds of Orcs burst through its gate and stormed in.

At the head of the Orcs, who had red tattoos on their bodies, a large-boned Orc shouted loudly.

“My name is Tutan, the great warrior of the Red Rock Tribe!”

If Turanta had heard, he would have said, ‘Son, when did you become a great warrior? I only gave you permission to be independent.’

But Tutan shouted without hesitation.

“I have come to take over the Black Tooth Tribe. Warriors of the Black Tooth Tribe, come forward!”

At Tutan’s roar, the Orcs of the Black Tooth Tribe all raised their weapons and rushed out.

And they shouted in a loud voice.

“Are you declaring war as a great warrior now?”

“That’s right. I will win and make you, the Black Tooth Tribe, mine.”

At Tutan’s confident declaration, the warriors of the Black Tooth Tribe shouted loudly.

“What will you do if we win?”

“If I lose, I and the warriors behind me will all enter under the name of the Black Tooth!”

In a word, they would fight, and the loser would go under the winner.

Does this make sense?

“Wooooooh! It’s war!”

“Oh, Kallaron! Look over this war!”

“Woooooooaaaaaar!”

For them, it does.

There’s a reason Orcs are called a race of warriors.

* * *

“Woooooooaaaaaar!”

The Stone Sword swung powerfully by Tutan sent two or three Orcs of the Black Tooth Tribe flying at once.

His opponents were also strong Orc warriors, but it was no use.

The moment they came into contact with Tutan’s Stone Sword, they felt an overwhelmingly immense power they couldn’t dare to resist and were sent flying backward.

“I am Tutan of the Red Rock Tribe!”

Tutan bravely stepped forward and swung his Stone Sword.

The Orc Blade, which he had learned from Patrick and developed into his self-taught style, fiercely struck the enemy.

There was no warrior in the Black Tooth Tribe who could stop such a Tutan.

In fact, Tutan was originally an excellent warrior.

Enough to take down a troll on his own.

But the current Tutan could easily handle ten trolls by himself.

The teachings he received from Patrick.

The experience points accumulated through life-or-death sparring with the soldiers of the Schneider fiefdom.

The confidence gained from leading the new young warriors.

All of that had made Tutan several times stronger.

“Woooooooaaaaaar!”

Every time Tutan swung his Stone Sword, the opposing Orcs were sent flying like scarecrows.

“Let’s follow Tutan!”

“Show your valor!”

“Wooooooh!”

And following behind him, the Orc warriors of the Red Rock Tribe who had run in also began to run wild.

All of them were warriors with the power of a 4 to 5-star human knight.

The Orc Blade, which they had sublimated into their own style, was also an excellent saber art.

Though the forms were simple, the fierce momentum of the Hebei Peng Clan, combined with the natural strong build of the Orcs, displayed immense power.

They hadn’t realized it when they were sparring among themselves, but the difference was immediately apparent when fighting against another Orc tribe.

“Weak. So weak!”

“Does the Black Tooth Tribe have no warriors?”

“Woooooooaaaaaar!”

Just 15 minutes after the war started.

All the Orcs of the Black Tooth Tribe were defeated.

And Tutan raised his Stone Sword high and shouted loudly.

“Victory is ours!”

“Woooooooaaaaaar!”

“Wooooooh!”

If Patrick saw it, he would have told them to stop with the damn ‘Woooaaar’.

And at that moment.

The fallen Orcs of the Black Tooth Tribe began to get up, staggering, one by one. Then….

“The war is lost. From now on, we are the Red Rock Tribe!”

“Woooooooaaaaaar!”

“Long live the Red Rock Tribe!”

“Long live the great warrior Tutan!”

They joined Tutan and his group, letting out victorious shouts.

Even though they had been fighting to the death just a moment ago.

In fact, this was one of the characteristics of the Orc race.

The strict law of the strong preying on the weak.

However, this was a law that only applied to their own kind.

If the invading opponent had been another race or a monster, the Black Tooth Tribe would have fought to the end.

But having lost fair and square in a fight against their own kind, submitting to them was not shameful to them.

Rather, it was a natural thing.

As Orcs who follow the strong and revere strong warriors, they considered it natural for the weak to follow the strong.

After unifying the Black Tooth Tribe, Tutan said.

“Are there other kinsmen nearby?”

“If you go west for ten days, there are kinsmen.”

“Let’s go! We’ll make them ours too.”

“Woooooooaaaaaar!”

“Long live the Red Rock Tribe!”

Weren’t you guys the Black Tooth Tribe just a moment ago?

In a sense, they were a race that adapted very quickly.

* * *

Tutan unified all the Orc warriors in the nearby area.

The 200 Orc warriors he led had now increased tenfold, exceeding 2,000.

And most importantly….

“Hahaha. Great warrior brother. I’m here.”

“…Who might you be?”

“Hahaha. It’s me, brother.”

“You look like an Orc I’m seeing for the first time…. Do I know you?”

At that, the opponent wore a shocked expression and said.

“It’s Tutan. Brother. The great warrior Patrick’s younger brother, Tutan!”

“Huh? You’re? Tan?”

Patrick looked at Tutan with a face of disbelief.

He had sent his younger brother out to take over the nearby Orcs and increase their numbers, but this kid had gotten a bit bigger.

It wasn’t a metaphorical expression; he had literally gotten bigger.

Originally, Tutan was a giant close to 2 meters tall with a broad, muscular frame.

But now, he had a massive build that seemed to exceed 2 meters and 50 centimeters, and his muscle mass had also increased significantly.

He could probably pass for a small troll.

‘No, did this kid fall off a cliff and drink some Azurite Oil? Why did he get so big?’

As Patrick was struggling to understand, Riman Ciera approached from his side, pushed up his glasses, and said.

“I see, so this is the privilege enjoyed by the servants of Kallaron.”

“Huh?”

“Hmm, I’ve read about it in literature, but this is the first time I’m seeing it in person.”

“What is?”

“I’d like to investigate a bit more closely… Keok!”

“This bastard is ignoring my words? I’ll kick your ass!”

He had already kicked him.

Riman got up, adjusted his glasses, and glared at Patrick.

“Keuuk…. Patrick Schneider.”

How dare you kick me, a magic swordsman of the Tower of Truth and a potential future Guardian? Do you think you can get away with this?

To the gaze full of that meaning, Patrick….

“What? Why? You got a problem? Wanna go?”

“…….”

If only that bastard wasn’t better at fighting than me….

Riman’s anger quickly subsided.

Anger management was, after all, a matter of being relatively good or bad at it.

And Patrick said.

“Explain it so I can understand. What happened here?”

At that, Riman Ciera sighed and said.

“Unlike us humans who are subject to Yupinel, the subjects of Kallaron evolve as a race when they meet certain conditions. Goblins are the best example.”

“Goblins…”

Goblins were monsters that existed at the bottom of the food chain among monsters.

But the reason these goblins never disappeared and even lived with their own territory in this Great Forest was because of the superior species with special powers.

Hobgoblins, Goblin Mages, Goblin Riders, all the way to Goblin Lords….

Because of these beings, goblins couldn’t simply be called a lower species.

And this evolution was precisely the privilege enjoyed by the servants of Kallaron.

“Orcs are the same. They are beings with intelligence, but in a theological classification, they are strictly servants of Kallaron.”

“So. They evolve when they fight a lot.”

“The change in that Orc warrior named Tutan is proof of that.”

“Hmmm…. Right. I see.”

Patrick finally understood.

‘So they undergo a body reformation once they surpass a certain level.’

He understood it in his own way, but it was correct.

The reason Tutan had evolved this time was because he had achieved some kind of leap in his inner identity during the process of unifying several clans.

It was a sense that couldn’t be explained with words, and in a way, it had something in common with the enlightenment of martial arts.

‘Anyway, it’s a good thing.’

He was worried it might be something bad, but if he had undergone a body reformation, it was certainly something to be celebrated.

“Hey, you worked hard. Tan. Keep up the good work in the future…”

“Ahem, brother, no, Patrick Schneider.”

“Huh?”

What’s this? Why did his neck suddenly stiffen and his eyes get all intense.

And Tutan said.

“I have something important to say. No, I have.”

“…What is it?”

“I, Tutan, the great warrior of the Red Rock Tribe, challenge you to a duel.”

“…….”

“I will prove that my strength has surpassed yours.”

“…….”

“If I win, you will become my younger brother.”

“…….”

Ah, the kid’s guts got bigger along with his body.

Patrick smiled warmly.

And he clenched his fists tightly.
