Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 74. Still Can’t Get a Feel for It (1)

“It’s two weeks of detention. Schneider Army.”

“Ah, really? It could have been longer.”

“……”

“Oh, this is delicious. Where did you buy it from?”

“It’s oven-roasted chicken from a famous restaurant in the capital.”

“Right. It goes well with beer.”

Professor Leyte, who had come to inform Patrick of the meeting’s results personally, let out a deep sigh.

‘What kind of detention is this.’

Detention, it meant to refrain from speech and actions and to reflect on one’s wrongdoings.

That was the usual meaning.

It did not mean to laze around in one’s room, eating food and drinking alcohol bought by a butler.

“The food and alcohol in the capital are delicious and diverse. I guess this is why people should play in the big leagues.”

“What should I buy for tomorrow?”

“We had lamb yesterday, right? Is there anything with beef?”

“There’s a place near the Academy that makes delicious meat pies.”

“Really? Then, Professor. Please issue some more outing permits for him.”

“Again…. Again?”

“Yes. Ah, I might need them too, so I’ll just give you a stack. You just need to sign them. I’ll write the dates myself.”

“Outing permits are not supposed to be issued so indiscriminately.”

As Professor Leyte showed reluctance, Patrick, with a chicken leg in his mouth, stood up, put his arm around his shoulder, and said.

“Tsk tsk tsk, Professor, why are you being like this? Bet-ween us. Huh?”

“……”

Patrick put the chicken leg in his mouth and then spat it out.

Looking at the chicken leg, which was now just a clean bone, Professor Leyte was impressed.

So you can eat a chicken leg like that.

And Patrick said….

“Professor. I made you a 7-star, didn’t I? Right?”

“That’s right. I am truly grateful for that. But…”

“A whole 7-star. The ultimate realm. The realm that only one person in the kingdom had reached, I. Yes, I just made you reach it, didn’t I? Right?”

“That… is true.”

“How great of a grace is that? If it weren’t for me, it would have taken at least 10 years, no, 20…. no, 30 more years.”

Why does it keep increasing?

Patrick looked at the sour-faced Professor Leyte and said.

“As a result, you, Professor, vol-un-ta-ri-ly said you would repay the grace…. What can I do? It wouldn’t be polite for a mere student like me to refuse that, would it?”

Polite?

Is it okay for the word ‘polite’ to come out of the mouth of a student who has his arm around a professor and is slowly applying pressure?

Justin Leyte.

He, who was called the Indomitable Knight by the world, could he tolerate such injustice….

“Yes. You are right.”

He could.

And as Professor Leyte agreed with his words, Patrick smiled brightly and said.

“Right? So I will diligently let you repay the grace, not use you, Professor.”

I think this bastard was about to say ‘use’ just now.

Patrick said to Professor Leyte, who had a sour expression.

“Then please issue a bunch of outing permits. And if I need anything else, I’ll call you again.”

“Alright.”

Professor Leyte sighed and did as he was told.

What could he do?

The grace he had received from Patrick was not something that could be repaid with such trivial favors.

Thanks to Patrick, he was able to reach the 7-star realm, so with what could he repay this?

And one more thing….

Even if he were to forget the grace and try to enforce the rules on Patrick, there was a problem.

‘This monster is truly…’

Before reaching 7-star, Professor Leyte had no idea how strong Patrick was.

And now that he had reached 7-star.

‘I still can’t get a feel for it.’

This was a serious problem.

Even with his senses, which had become much sharper after reaching the 7-star realm, known as the ultimate realm, he couldn’t see the bottom of Patrick.

On the contrary, he could see the true value of the handsome butler next to him.

He could see that he was at least at the same 6-star realm as his former self. He didn’t know before, but now he could tell.

However, he still couldn’t tell Patrick’s skill level.

What this meant was….

‘It means there’s still a huge gap in skill between us.’

A master whom even he, who had reached 7-star, would not dare to face.

That was Patrick Schneider.

Why had he entered the Academy with such skills?

To have the professors teach him?

How?

Anyway, just looking at his skills, it was not an easy thing to go against Patrick.

So what could he do?

It looked better to be pressured under the pretext of grace and follow along.

Rather than being threatened.

Thinking so, Professor Leyte smirked and went outside.

‘Still, I doubt he’d openly threaten an Academy professor.’

He still didn’t know Patrick well.

「For causing a disturbance in the Academy, all related parties will be put in detention for 2 weeks.」

It was the content of the officially posted notice.

In effect, it was a mutual punishment, meaning that the incident would be treated as one without a perpetrator.

The 1st graders of the Knight Faculty were inwardly delighted upon seeing this notice.

“That bastard Roist got a good beating.”

“I heard he and his cronies ganged up on him and all got beaten?”

“That bastard hasn’t even returned to the Academy yet, right? He must have been beaten really badly.”

“Isn’t he just embarrassed? I heard he went to the temple and got treated for a high price, so his body should be all healed.”

“He has every right to be embarrassed. I hope he just drops out anyway.”

Roist was not very popular among the 1st graders.

He had some skill, but his image as a scoundrel who acted as he pleased with the background of the Marquis Panola family was stronger.

So it was inwardly satisfying that such a Roist had been beaten to a pulp by a mid-term transfer student and was not even showing his face at the Academy.

However, they were a bit worried.

“Will the Marquis Panola family stay quiet?”

“No matter how powerful Marquis Panola is, it would be difficult for him to interfere within the Academy, wouldn’t it?”

“That might be true for Marquis Panola. But you know, right? That bastard’s brother is in the 3rd grade.”

“Aah…”

“Somehow, I don’t think this will end quietly.”

“Should we give the newcomer some advice?”

“We have to see him to give him advice.”

“Ah, he’s in detention too.”

The 1st-grade students were secretly worried about Patrick.

It was truly the most useless worry in the world.

* * *

The downtown area of White Town.

A bustling street where splendid magic lights illuminated the night, and drunk people walked around with pleasant faces.

Patrick, walking naturally through that place.

“Uuuhm. It’s nice to be out after a long time. People really should live freely.”

Why was Patrick, who should have been in detention in his own room, out?

Because Patrick was Patrick.

No matter how much delicious food and alcohol April brought him, being cooped up in his room was frustrating.

Normally, one would overcome such frustration and reflect during detention, but….

“There’s no way I could do something like that. The longest record when my Master put me in seclusion was two days.”

What a thing to be proud of.

[You punk! How can you not last for three days? Three days….]

[As long as I get stronger, who cares about seclusion. If you get stronger just by being in seclusion, all the shut-ins would be the strongest in the world.]

[Did I put you in seclusion to get stronger? I did it so you wouldn’t cause trouble, I…. You punk! Where are you running off to? Get back here!]

“Looking back, those were fond memories. Master. Weren’t they?”

Where?

Anyway, this outing was just because he was feeling frustrated.

However, should he say it was a side trip?

He did have a destination.

‘I should at least show my face.’

The place Patrick walked to was a very large tavern in the bustling downtown of White Town.

It was a place that operated as a tavern from the 1st to the 5th floor and was a recently opened tavern in the capital.

[Red Dragon.]

Seeing the sign, Patrick entered without hesitation.

Red Dragon.

This tavern, which had recently opened in the bustling downtown of the capital, was quickly gaining fame by word of mouth.

This was because it operated with a rather unique system for a tavern.

It only accepted members as customers, and customers were escorted to higher floors according to their membership level.

Of course, the membership level depended on how much more money one spent.

Starting from the 1st floor, which was bustling with commoners, as one went up to the 2nd and 3rd floors, the quality and level of the customers also rose.

There was a strange sense of fun in going up the floors like that, so people spent more money at this tavern.

And above all….

“Oh my, you’ve come again today.”

“Ooh, Madam.”

“Thank you for visiting me like this every day, but I’m afraid your wife might get jealous.”

“Hahaha. For the sake of the Madam, my wife’s jealousy is nothing.”

“You’re so smooth with your words.”

Her alluring smile, with her face covered by a red fan, was driving the men’s hearts crazy.

‘Sensual.’

‘I want to conquer her.’

‘Just once, if only for once…’

In fact, the biggest reason why Red Dragon had become famous was this.

It was the existence of the madam of this tavern, who would occasionally come down and talk to the customers.

A beauty with a radiant appearance that was not at all awkward with splendor.

An alluring woman with fiery red hair and a small mole under her eye that suited her perfectly.

There were many customers who came just to get a glimpse of her.

Especially after hearing that the madam only personally dealt with customers on the 5th floor, customers flocked to this tavern, competing to reach the 5th floor.

Her charm was that demonic.

She wasn’t just pretty and beautiful.

“I’ll be waiting.”

“Ma…. Madam.”

She opens her fan, whispers softly into the man’s ear, and then, just as the man’s hand is about to touch her, she exquisitely pulls her body back.

Every one of these actions was driving the men crazy.

She seems within reach, yet she is not.

She gives plenty of room, but when you try to grasp her, she slips away.

It was as if she could see right through the psychology of the creature called man, when and what they were thinking.

Her elegant and alluring charm had already captivated countless men.

At her smile, all the men were lost in a daze….

“Hey.”

They should have been….

‘Why is that bastard here?’

The madam’s expression contorted.

What the madam, who had hurriedly covered her face with a fan, saw was Patrick, letting out a deep sigh.

“I expected it, but to think you’re really doing this…”

“Hohoho. It’s been a while, Young Master.”

As the madam spoke as if she knew him, the other customers around them said.

“Madam. Do you know this child?”

“Yes. He is the son of a esteemed person I serve for business.”

“Ah, for business…”

“So that’s what it is.”

At the words ‘business associate,’ the other customers looked relieved.

It was a sigh of relief that their madam had not yet been conquered.

And the madam, fanning herself, said.

“Come to think of it, you said you were coming today for an important matter, right? I must have mistaken the time. Right?”

“……”

“Young Master?”

“Hmm, I don’t think this will do. You need a good beating…. Uuuuhm. Umuhm!”

“Hohoho. Young Master. You shouldn’t talk about important business matters here. Let’s go to a quiet place upstairs and talk.”

The madam moved quickly, covered Patrick’s mouth, and then, tucking him under her arm, ran upstairs.

As the madam ran, her red dress fluttering, the customers left behind just stared blankly at her retreating figure.

Peeeok!

“Aren’t you going to let go, you bastard? You’re asking for a beating.”

“Keeuk…. You already hit me.”

“Ah, right. Sorry. I should have told you before I hit you.”

“Uuugh…”

You’re still going to hit me, aren’t you?

The madam… no, Red, the master of the Thieves’ Guild in Parmas, clutched his head in pain.

And looking at Patrick, he….

“Young Master, weren’t you in detention for causing trouble?”

“That’s right. You know well.”

“Fufufu. We have Academy professors among our customers. No, that’s not it, how did a person in detention come to a tavern?”

“You just have to sneak out.”

“A man who’s supposed to become a knight has no respect for the rules.”

“A thief is lecturing me about rules, how can my conscience bear it?”

“……”

“What? What, you punk?”

I’ve felt it before, but I can’t win against him with words.

The kid has no common sense, but sometimes he’s ridiculously good with words.

And since I can’t win against him with strength either, the conclusion is….

‘It’s pathetic. So pathetic.’

Letting out a small sigh, Red cleared his throat and said.

“Ahem, it’s all good, but what if you act rashly there? What if my identity is revealed?”

“You’ll be treated as a pervert. I guess.”

“Ah, I’m not a pervert. Didn’t I say it was a disguise for information gathering?”

“For that, you seem to be enjoying it too much.”

Let’s overlook the waitress disguise from our first meeting.

At that time, he was in a situation where he could have been killed by the traitor who had killed his father, so there was a need to hide his identity.

But even after that, he continued to cross-dress under the pretext of information gathering, and now he had even mastered the role of an alluring tavern madam.

“You…. you’re not really into that, are you? I can respect your preferences, but it’s not like I don’t feel a sense of rejection.”

“I’m not. You human! How many girlfriends do I have?”

“Men?”

“Women!!! You bastard!”

Bbaak!

“Where does a kid get off talking back to an adult. So disrespectful…”

You’re younger. You are.

“Keuk, because you’re talking nonsen…se.”

It was Red, who had hurriedly changed his words because he thought he would get hit again if he spoke informally.

And Red said with a serious face.

“My cross-dressing is purely for information gathering. Even if our organization has advanced into the capital, who would ever imagine that the master of that organization would be cross-dressing and acting like this?”

“Well, right. Let’s just say that.”

“It’s not ‘let’s just say that,’ that’s the purpose!”

“Alright. Alright. More importantly, is there any new information?”

“Information…. there is.”

“Hoooh, really?”

Patrick grinned.
