Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 9. Ah, I shouldn’t have done that then (3)

“It’s not like I’m asking for something difficult.”

“Aak…. Kuaaak….”

“It’s the Horse Stance, the Horse Stance. The foundation of foundations.”

“S-…. Save m-…. Kuaaak….”

“And I’m just telling you to do this for exactly one hour more than your yesterday’s self.”

“No, d-…. I’m going to die…. Uuuugh….”

“What? Die? How dare you die! You’d better be dead if you die before getting my permission!”

“Grrrrrrk.”

Patrick’s assault was horrifying to watch, and to actually experience it was like hell.

He stomped on them from head to toe as if mincing them, inflicting pain that felt like bones were being crushed and flesh was being torn.

But here, the bigger problem was….

“Tsk, a guy with no progress.”

After a round of brutal assault passed.

“Aren’t you getting up?”

“Ye-… Yes!”

At Patrick’s command, the fallen soldier shot up.

And Patrick ordered the soldier.

“Start again!”

“Yes. I understand.”

And the soldier began the Horse Stance training again.

Something strange was happening.

Even though Patrick was brutally beating the soldiers, not a single person was getting injured from being hit.

It was deadly painful when he actually hit them, though.

Nowhere was broken, and there were no bruises on their bodies.

Even though it was an assault where each and every blow sent shock and pain that penetrated to the bone, no one was injured.

Rather….

‘My body feels better.’

‘Why is this happening? Could it be that getting hit is good for the body?’

‘I haven’t awakened to some strange preference, have I?’

Even the soldiers who were on the verge of collapsing would become refreshed as if they had been healed by a priest after being stomped on by Patrick once, and they would be able to train again.

It was a strange phenomenon, but it was actually happening.

Among those soldiers, Patrick clicked his tongue and said.

“Tsk, what a bother…. Hey, rookie!”

“Yes, Young Master.”

“Towel.”

“Yes. I understand.”

When Patrick spoke, Brian immediately scurried over and politely offered a towel with both hands.

Patrick took the towel, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and said.

“What’s so hard about the Horse Stance? The Horse Stance? I’m the one having a harder time hitting you guys. Isn’t that right?”

‘That devil….’

‘A being more cruel than a monster.’

‘Could this be the rumored demon race?’

At Patrick’s words, the soldiers ground their teeth inwardly.

But there was something they didn’t know….

‘Damn it, trying to perform Marrow Cleansing and Acupoint Opening on two hundred people one by one with this young body is so damn hard.’

What Patrick said was true.

In fact, he was doing more hard labor than them.

Marrow Cleansing and Acupoint Opening.

It’s a secret technique where one injects ki into the target’s body from the outside to clear blocked meridians and relieve muscle fatigue.

It’s a technique that requires exquisite ki control rather than a high level of inner energy, and it’s something that only a master of a considerable level could even attempt.

And it’s a secret technique that even masters have to perform with great care.

In fact, even in prestigious righteous sects, the elders or sect leaders don’t perform Marrow Cleansing and Acupoint Opening on all the disciples one by one.

Since it’s such a hands-on act, they usually select only a few talented individuals to perform it on.

‘And I’m doing that for each and every one of you. You bastards. You should be grateful.’

Patrick continued to watch the soldiers while wiping the sweat dripping from his face.

Once he decided to teach, he would teach properly.

For the future of the Schneider family and….

‘Even though it’s a completely different world, if the martial arts of our Twin Dragon Sect spread throughout the world…. Master, would you be happy?’

He didn’t know.

His Master, who had no worldly desires, might just say he was doing something unnecessary.

But Patrick wanted to do it.

Just for the one reason that his Master might, just might, be happy.

‘Master, I….’

Thud.

“Ah, these bastards. They don’t even give a person the leisure to get sentimental.”

“Yes? Yes? Yes?”

“To collapse right now? Die! Die! Just die, you bastard!”

Patrick ran to a collapsed soldier and began to perform Marrow Cleansing and Acupoint Opening again.

“Aak! Save m-…. Kuaaak! Aaaaaaah!”

There was probably no ill will.

Probably….

Two weeks later.

Was it because of Patrick’s utmost dedication?

Or was it due to an individual’s outstanding talent and tenacity?

“Oh oh…. It’s working! It’s working!”

“Big Brother Sanson. Cheer up!”

“One minute to go!”

Finally, the first success story emerged.

The moment the sand in the hourglass ran out, Sanson, who had been enduring and enduring, looked at Patrick and said with a desperate expression.

“Y-…. Young Master.”

“Hmmmm….”

“Young Master?”

What kind of pretext is this devil going to find now to throw me into a living hell?

Sanson, whose anxiety had reached its peak, maintained the Horse Stance until the very, very end, just in case.

Looking at Sanson, Patrick snickered and said.

“Pass.”

“Wooooooooooooh!”

Hearing the word “pass,” Sanson fell backward, threw his hands up in the air, and let out a cheer.

“Waaaaah!”

“He did it. Big Brother Sanson did it!”

“Waaah! He finally did it! He did it!”

The other comrades rushed to Sanson, embracing him and congratulating him.

‘Tsk tsk tsk, as if he did something so great. Anyone would think he had achieved great mastery of some ultimate martial art.’

Patrick scoffed inwardly, but a soft smile hung on his lips as well.

Whether it was an ultimate martial art or the foundation of foundations….

The act of setting a goal and achieving it is an eternal pain and happiness for martial artists.

The higher the goal, the greater the pain, and the sense of accomplishment when the result is achieved is proportionally higher.

Although it was just the Horse Stance, at this moment, Sanson was smiling brightly with the sense of accomplishment of having achieved his goal.

‘Yeah. Well, smile for now.’

Sanson had done it.

As promised, Patrick decided to teach Sanson the Aura Blessing right on the spot.

However….

“So, its name is the Great Pure Aura Blessing, you say.”

“Yeah.”

“…….”

“What? If you have something to say, say it.”

“Does it have to be that name?”

“…….”

At Sanson’s question, Patrick also looked at a distant mountain with a miserable expression and lamented.

‘Don’t take it out on me. I didn’t even make up the name.’

Supreme Purity Heart Law.

It’s one of the basic heart laws of Wudang, which Patrick intended to teach them as a basic skill.

It has few side effects and allows one to accumulate clear and pure energy in the body, making it an excellent basic skill that can be easily converted to any heart law one learns later.

However, when this name, “Supreme Purity,” was changed to a name in this world, it became a cringeworthy name like “Great Pure.”

‘I get it. I get it, but do you know how good this martial art is? I pleaded so politely with the Wudang Sect to get this.’

Patrick was momentarily lost in memories of the past.

* * *

It was after he had saved a Wudang Sect elder who had foolishly gone to catch an Unorthodox Alliance master, only to fall into a trap and almost get himself and his disciples killed.

Patrick, no, Jin Cheon, requested a very, very small and trivial repayment.

That was the Wudang Sect’s basic heart law, the Supreme Purity Heart Law, but….

[You can’t give it to me? You can’t teach it to me? Wow. You dirty things. You can’t even teach a basic skill like that to the benefactor who saved your life?]

[No, Great Master Jin Cheon…. Please listen. It’s a basic principle that a sect’s martial arts are not to be shared outside.]

[So the conclusion is you can’t give it? You won’t give it?]

[Please consider our position as well.]

[Positiooooon? They say your heart is different when you go to the latrine and when you come out, but even so. You call yourselves ‘Taoists.’ You don’t even recognize the grace of me saving your ‘lives.’]

[No, th-…. that’s th-….]

[People were born first, then heart laws, not the other way around, right? Aigooo! People, look here! Hey! You, the passing Shaolin bald monk, come and listen too. These Wudang bastards have no conscience.]

[W-…. Wait!]

Thus, Jin Cheon was able to peacefully learn the Supreme Purity Heart Law.

* * *

‘Hmm, it was an excellent negotiation that proceeded peacefully.’

One would have to hear the side of the Wudang Sect elder who was extorted for the heart law by Jin Cheon at the time, but what can you do?

He’s not here now.

In any case, the most excellent basic skill in Jin Cheon’s opinion was this Supreme Purity Heart Law.

The Twin Dragon Sect’s heart law had many problems for teaching beginners, and for an introductory basic skill, the Supreme Purity Heart Law was the best.

However, this extremely cringeworthy name was a problem.

Sanson spoke cautiously.

As if with the heart of a loyal subject advising a tyrant, he spoke cautiously.

“Um, Young Master.”

“What?”

“In my opinion, I think it would be good to change the name of the Aura Blessing, but is that not possible?”

“Hey. Change the name?”

“Is it not possible?”

“What kind of question is that? You ignorant fool.”

Patrick was dumbfounded.

Change the name of a heart law?

The name of that heart law contains the will and ideology of the great ancestors of the Wudang Sect.

It includes the enlightenment they felt while creating the martial art and the meaning they wanted to pass on to future generations.

So, changing the name rashly could be a denial and insult to the great achievements of those ancestors….

“…but, now that I think about it, they’re not my ancestors, so does it matter?”

If the Wudang Sect Leader heard what Patrick was saying now, he would have grabbed the back of his neck and fallen over.

But that was the position of the Wudang Sect, which didn’t even exist in this world, and….

‘Hmm, now that I think about it, it would be better to change it.’

From Patrick’s perspective, there were more than one or two martial arts he had to teach in the future.

But in this world without Chinese characters, explaining all those martial arts by translating them into the local language was a very troublesome task.

‘Yes. Let’s change it.’

He decided cleanly.

Spirit and soul, my ass….

If he was the type of person to care about such things, would he have been called the Mad Dragon?

“Hmm, then how about Basic Blessing?”

“Basic Blessing?”

“Yeah. It’s a perfect Aura Blessing to learn as a foundation, so let’s call it that.”

“Yes. That’s much better.”

Sanson let out a sigh of relief.

‘What a relief.’

In fact, Sanson had been very worried.

For when people in the future would ask him, ‘What Aura Blessing have you learned?’

‘I can’t possibly say, ‘It’s the Great Pure Aura Blessing,’ can I?’

He absolutely did not want to do that.

The formal transmission began.

Patrick explained the knack of the breathing method and the principle of the Aura Blessing to Sanson once, then had him sit down.

“Alright, get into the position as I tell you. And remember the flow of the ki that I instill in you as you breathe as I teach you.”

“Yes. I understand.”

“If you forget the flow of ki, be sure to ask me again. If I catch you circulating it wrongly on your own, you’re dead.”

“Yes. I understand.”

“Good. Let’s begin.”

Thus, Sanson became the first among the soldiers to learn the Aura Blessing.

And the remaining one hundred and ninety-nine soldiers who saw this scene were fired up with motivation.

‘I will definitely….’

‘I will definitely learn it.’

‘Just a little more. Just a little….’

* * *

A month passed.

Finally, all the soldiers achieved four hours of the Horse Stance, and Patrick taught the Basic Blessing to all of them without exception.

The soldiers’ routine proceeded regularly.

First, they came out to the training ground from dawn to practice the Basic Blessing.

And when the Aura Blessing was finished, they continued to train in the Horse Stance.

The soldiers thought they wouldn’t have to do this anymore since they could all do the Horse Stance for more than four hours, but Patrick said the foundation was important and kept making them do the Horse Stance.

Still, the groaning sounds were a little less than before….

“Ugh… aaaaah….”

“D-…. I’m dying. I feel like I’m going to die.”

“Ugh…. Noooo….”

It should have decreased, but that wasn’t the case.

Because there is a devil who cannot bear to see the miserable tragedy of training becoming comfortable.

Right now, a large rock is placed on top of each of the soldiers’ heads.

Thanks to that, it became possible to bestow a new dimension of pain upon the soldiers who thought they had gotten used to the Horse Stance.

“Alright. That’s enough.”

When the Horse Stance was over like that, the morning training ended.

Patrick wasn’t satisfied with this, but since the soldiers also had duties to perform, he couldn’t just make them train twenty-four hours a day.

“Tsk, there’s not enough training time, but it can’t be helped. I have no choice but to push them harder….”

As Patrick was feeling disappointed, one of the soldiers approached him and said.

“Um, Young Master.”

“What?”

To the indifferently replying Patrick, the soldier spoke cautiously.

“Um, I’m definitely not saying this out of complaint, but I’m just saying this because a question has arisen.”

“Don’t beat around the bush, just say it.”

“Yes. It’s just that…. When do we learn the sword?”

The soldier thought he had asked a reasonable question in his own way.

However….

“The sword? The swooord? The swoooooord!?”

As they say, one must choose one’s words carefully depending on the person.
