My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 633: Chapter 379: ”Dream of the Moon Palace”, ”Celestial Calculation Energy Technology Group

Of course, besides the thrilling attractions, there were also many gentler options designed specifically for children—less intense and scary, but still very fun.

An amusement park of this scale naturally had its own transportation, dining facilities, and even hidden Easter eggs.

For transportation, the maglev Star Dome Gondola traversed the entire area. Small Hoverbikes and Flying Cars were also available for rent. If renting, there was no need to worry about safety or traffic accidents.

These vehicles were exclusively for park use, so their speeds were relatively low. Plus, they were equipped with an automatic collision avoidance system, making it virtually impossible to crash.

In addition to manual controls, they also had an autopilot feature. Regardless of which mode was used, there was no need to worry, even if a child was at the controls.

As for dining... well, the prices were rather steep.

It wasn’t just the food that was expensive; the admission tickets were naturally exorbitant as well.

This was the only amusement park of its kind in the entire Solar System. If the prices weren’t so high, the place would be absolutely mobbed.

Those who could afford to visit included not only the wealthy elite of Country C, but also rich people from other nations and various Underground Cities.

After booking a ticket online, the Moon Tourism Company would dispatch Profound Bird Fighters to pick up guests, who would then travel to the Moon aboard either the Cloud Whale or the Profound Nether Stellar Mother Ship.

However, smaller groups could only hitch a ride on a Stellar Mother Ship if one of the two vessels was already scheduled for a trip to the Moon.

This was quite inconvenient. Therefore, while the amusement park was still under construction, Jiang Cai’Er’s team began urgently developing a low-cost transport to meet this demand. It would be smaller than the Cloud Whale Stellar Mother Ship and come equipped with nine new-generation Profound Bird-5 aerospace fighters, balancing low cost and safety.

In truth, even if the amusement park tickets were cheap, the travel expenses were not. You really had to be wealthy to afford this kind of trip.

There was also a hidden achievement: collecting all the attraction medals would activate the ”Master of the Moon” hidden instance. There, players could battle a Divine Tier virtual avatar of ”Brother Xiang” and receive his authentic autograph.

Furthermore, the variety of related merchandise and collectibles was immense.

Yao Yao found some time to visit the Moon as well, treating it as a short vacation. After all, even a City Lord gets days off.

She suggested that Li Xiang write an autobiography to sell in the amusement park, but Li Xiang felt that would be too ostentatious and had yet to act on the idea.

...

As Head Shopkeeper, Li Xiang was responsible for coordinating all the nation’s Underground Cities. With his capable wife, Jiang Cai’Er, handling the unified distribution of resources and technology, the other cities were developing better than ever.

For example, the infrastructure of the major Underground Cities was adjusted based on the model of City No. 03, incorporating some of its unique advanced technologies like the Hive Shield Matrix to strengthen each city’s Defense.

Cold Fusion Energy Towers: Evolved from Nuclear Fuel Cells, these towers offered superior performance compared to the previous thermal fusion reactors, bringing controllable nuclear fusion technology to every Underground City.

Ever since Li Xiang reached Saint Tier and collected a large amount of Helium-3 on the Moon, Jiang Cai’Er’s team had successfully cracked controllable nuclear fusion. If the initial Helium-3 controllable fusion was version 1.0, the technology had now reached version 3.0. It was constantly being optimized and improved, with versions 4.0, 5.0, and beyond expected in the future.

Now, the companies responsible for Quantum Computer production lines, Helium-3 refineries, controllable Nuclear Fusion Reactors, and Nuclear Fuel Cells had all been integrated and reorganized into the ”Celestial Calculation Energy Technology Group” (or ”Celestial Calculation Energy” for short).

Jiang Cai’Er was, naturally, the largest shareholder and the one in actual control. The second-largest shareholder was the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

The total number of employees exceeded 200,000, with the R&D team alone comprising a full 120,000 people, including quantum physicists, Extraordinary energy engineers, and AI operations personnel.

The production and operations team consisted of just over 80,000 people, with a greater emphasis on operations than on manufacturing. Of these, more than 30,000 were permanently stationed at the Moon Base and over 50,000 at the Earth division, with an additional mecha-piloting security team protecting resource extraction operations.

As a core strategic resource for Country C, Helium-3 fusion energy powered the various Underground Cities and supported megaprojects such as the intercity maglev network, the Stellar Mother Ships, and the holographic ecological domes. Its annual output value reached 120 billion Heat Coins, accounting for 68% of Country C’s total energy production value.

As time went on, this value was projected to grow even larger.

There were no large-scale exports at present; the company had only assisted a few friendly nations within the alliance in constructing similar projects. In the future, however, export value was destined to increase.

After all, it was a project that would benefit all of humankind.

Thanks to its monopolistic advantage as the industry leader, the Celestial Calculation Energy Technology Group controlled nearly 100% of the global Helium-3 supply chain. Its technology was at least 150 years ahead of any other nation on Earth. It was the culmination of Country C’s Extraordinary technology and interstellar resource development, and its scale, output, and strategic importance far surpassed that of any ordinary corporation. It was, in essence, ”the spark of human civilization.”

In the modern world, global rich lists were still published, but neither Li Xiang nor Jiang Cai’Er ever appeared on them. However, anyone with the slightest insight knew that their wealth had grown beyond what such a list could possibly measure.

It wasn’t that the list’s compilers didn’t want to include them—they didn’t dare. Besides, the prestige and status of the rich list itself were no longer worthy of the pair.

In other words, the list’s organizers lacked the clout and stature to even invite the two to be ranked.

Since the rollout and construction of controllable Nuclear Fusion Reactors required time, conventional energy sources were still in use. The efficiency of these older sources, however, was comparatively low.

Still, some of the older generation remained nostalgic for conventional energy. They missed the old gasoline-powered cars and heating their homes with charcoal, feeling it all had a more human, down-to-earth feel.
