My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 613: Chapter 372: The Moon’s Second City: Jade Rabbit City

Public opinion surged across the globe as the Underground Cities of various nations jointly petitioned, hoping a portion of the 20 million immigration slots for Jade Rabbit City would be approved for foreigners. They didn’t want to be left behind; they wanted to get on Country C’s bandwagon and learn its advanced technology and experience.

This joint petition ultimately landed on the desks of Li Xiang and Jiang Cai’Er.

After some discussion, they decided to set aside one-tenth of the quota—2 million spots—for foreigners.

However, there was a catch: only high-level talent could apply, such as individuals with outstanding academic achievements or Extraordinary Beings at Tier Five or higher. Upon approval, applicants could bring their families with them to immigrate.

Jade Rabbit City would provide a settlement allowance of varying amounts, based on their past achievements and their assigned talent level.

This talent ranking system was divided into five tiers: A, B, C, D, and E. Even the lowest-ranked E-Tier talent would be provided with a three-bedroom, one-living-room apartment and a settlement allowance of 600,000 Heat Coins.

Children’s education would, of course, not be an issue. Jade Rabbit City planned to build a full suite of supporting schools, including elementary schools, middle schools, and universities, with all teaching staff transferred from Country C.

Even the elementary school Breathing Technique teachers were Extraordinary Beings at Tier Five or above. In the middle schools and universities, Saint Tier Transcendents would frequently give lectures. Even Li God himself would hold two or three seminars a year.

Such a lineup was impossible to secure anywhere else.

A dramatic situation arose during the application process when some talented individuals applied to bring families of forty to fifty people!

This naturally called for a thorough review, which ultimately revealed that, surprisingly, they were all legal family members.

For example, one of them was a Tier Six Extraordinary Being who was bringing eight wives, over twenty children, and the extended families of all eight wives. Holy hell, the sheer size of his massive entourage stunned the citizens of Country C.

Polygamy had emerged due to the collapse of social order in the Apocalypse. Of course, this hadn’t happened in Country C yet. After all, with more men than women in the country, men had enough trouble finding even one wife.

Abroad, however, many countries already had traditions of polygamy, and the practice had only become more widespread since the onset of the Apocalypse.

The review process found that while some were indeed long-standing marriages, others were purely exploiting a loophole by entering into hasty, fake marriages. Naturally, anyone caught ”falsifying their application” had their eligibility revoked.

In response, Li Xiang and Jiang Cai’Er urgently added a new rule: ”Each family is limited to a maximum of ten members!”

Even so, single professionals who qualified became highly sought-after.

...

Li Xiang left all these matters for Jiang Cai’Er to handle, as her administrative skills were superior to his.

Now that he was in the Divine King Realm, Li Xiang was essentially invincible as long as the few Divine King Realm Exotic Beasts from the Dark Cosmic Space deep underground remained hidden. He swept across the country, subjugating every last untamed Saint Tier Exotic Beast within its borders. The nation was finally at peace.

While passing by the Qinling Ancestral Vein, an idea struck Li Xiang, and he dove deep underground. The Elder in Dragon Robe emerged to greet him.

”Senior, have you been well?”

”I dare not call myself ’Senior’ in your presence anymore. To think you’ve reached the Divine King Realm in such a short time, young friend. My heartfelt congratulations.” The Elder in Dragon Robe stared at Li Xiang in astonishment. When they first met, Li Xiang had been but a minor Extraordinary Being; now, the aura he emanated far surpassed his own.

”No matter how high my Cultivation, I am still your junior,” Li Xiang said with a humble smile, and the two began to chat and reminisce. After all, the Elder in Dragon Robe was an ancient being, a Dragon Spirit from the age of the Emperor of Zhou.

These few Earth Vein Spirits had once possessed vast Divine Techniques, but they were later injured in a struggle against the Earth Vein Spirits of other nations. Although they managed to kill their rivals, they themselves suffered considerable damage. Later, their very foundations were corrupted by wicked foreign Feng Shui Mages. Most importantly, their lifespans were nearing their end. The Divine Tier only granted a lifespan of a few thousand years; if they couldn’t break through to the Divine King Realm, they were destined to dissipate sooner or later.

Furthermore, their power and condition were tied to the national fortune of the people and country they embodied. When the nation was weak and in turmoil, their own strength would wane in tandem.

Li Xiang pondered this. ’I’ll have to pay attention to this in the future. I absolutely cannot allow the territories under my rule to fall into chaos. It’s crucial that they only grow stronger and more prosperous.’

Once Jade Rabbit City was complete, he planned to build several more Underground Cities on the Moon.

However, when it came to interplanetary colonization, Mars was still the most suitable planet in the Solar System.

The Solar System has eight planets. Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars are terrestrial planets, primarily composed of rock, metal, and soil, giving them a high density and solid state. In contrast, the Jovian planets—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—are mainly made of gas and ice, resulting in low density, massive volume, and a gaseous state.

The gaseous ones were, naturally, unsuitable for colonization.

Li Xiang bid farewell to the Elder in Dragon Robe and swept across the country a few more times, making sure no Saint Tier beasts had been missed. Only then did his figure flash as he departed to do the same abroad.

Of course, he also took the opportunity to visit Chiba Yuki and her daughters, as well as Erin.

The Twin Gouyu desperately wanted to go to the Moon, but if they left, Chiba Yuki would be unable to manage on her own. Thus, they chose to remain in Japan.

Erin, for her part, didn’t want to move around. Her ancestral home and her parents’ graves were here, and besides, her children were still young.

”I want to seize this chance to have a few more. You can’t go back on your promise of ten kids,” Erin said, wrapping her arms around Li Xiang’s neck, her passion burning like fire.

Her cousin, Shen Wenqian, piped up, ”Could you two not do that in front of me?”

...

There were far too many Space Exotic Beasts. Li Xiang only focused on capturing or killing those at the Saint Tier, but even so, he had only dealt with about a sixth of the total. He had replenished his collection of Spirit Beasts to 280, leaving 80 empty slots in his total capacity of 360. He planned to save those slots for even High Tier Exotic Beasts in the future.
