My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 602: Chapter 368: Forging a Ship from Divine Remains and the Lord of Guanghan City

As for future fertilizer needs, a chemical fertilizer plant could be established on the Moon. Alternatively, human and Exotic Beast waste could be collected, fermented, and used as compost.

Aside from being used as research materials, any excess or unusable flesh and blood from the Exotic Beasts could also serve as organic fertilizer for the underground farms.

”Leave it to me.” For Li Xiang as he was now, this was naturally a trivial matter.

Furthermore, while helping build larger research, development, and production workshops for the Aerospace Carriers on Earth, he had also excavated a great deal of soil, the better portions of which could be taken to the Moon.

The smallest of the Divine Tier Exotic Beast carcasses was over three hundred kilometers long. Using it as the main framework for an Aerospace Carrier would naturally require an enormous workshop.

Besides, the surface was too cold and fraught with danger, making it more convenient to build underground.

Propelling such a massive ship built from an Exotic Beast carcass into space presented a major challenge, starting with the engines alone.

Li Xiang only provided the smallest carcass for now, temporarily storing the rest in his Otherworldly Warehouse. He and Jiang Cai’Er had privately agreed that once Guanghan City was completed and the technology for the first Exotic Beast Aerospace Carrier had matured, the remaining mother ships could be converted directly on the Moon. With the Moon’s lower gravity, launching from its surface would be much easier.

Lei Xiaohui had been responsible for the defense of City No. 03, and finding a suitable replacement on short notice was proving difficult. However, Jiang Cai’Er told her not to worry, as she would personally take over.

For Jiang Cai’Er, with her super-brain and Quantum Computer Superpower, this was hardly a difficult task. She could process hundreds of millions of tasks simultaneously. Inspired by Yao Yao’s Clone Technique, she also created numerous Digital Lives—virtual avatars in different uniforms that could represent her at various functions.

These virtual avatars were even more intimidating, making her look like the ultimate villain from a story. Many of the military’s Extraordinary Beings were now even more afraid of her.

Besides, Jiang Cai’Er’s prestige was already higher than Lei Xiaohui’s to begin with.

As for the black mist, Jiang Cai’Er’s research team had collected numerous samples for study. There had been no breakthroughs yet, but Jiang Cai’Er felt that this substance was deeply mysterious. If they could fully understand it, she believed it could prove to be of immense benefit.

She suspected it was a form of dark matter, but it didn’t align with existing concepts and would require extensive experimentation to verify.

About three days later, Jiang Cai’Er sent for Li Xiang, summoning him to a conference room at the City No. 03 research center to discuss the preliminary design drafts for the Exotic Beast Aerospace Carrier with the core members of her research team.

Jiang Cai’Er intended to consider everyone’s opinions, selectively incorporating them as she continuously modified and perfected the design, striving for nothing less than excellence.

Two heads are better than one, after all. Despite possessing a super-brain and being a scientific genius, Jiang Cai’Er still valued brainstorming and listening to others’ opinions, as they often provided her with genuine inspiration.

It was a massive conference room, attended by over a hundred people. Most were graduates from Qingbei and the Seven Sons of Defense. A few veteran experts had even spent their entire lives in the defense industry; now in their seventies, they had refused to retire, continuing to fight on the front lines to forge a future for humanity.

When these veteran experts saw the plans Jiang Cai’Er presented, they were utterly astounded, their bodies trembling. They were looking at the future of humanity. With such a super-dreadnought, the Sea of Stars was no longer an impossible dream.

If the Cloud Whale was the first generation, with second and third-generation ships already under development, the successful creation of Jiang Cai’Er’s Exotic Beast Mother Ship would represent a leap forward to at least the tenth generation!

How could these veteran experts not be thrilled? Before, in times of peace, such things existed only in science fiction films. Now, they were on the verge of becoming reality. Looked at this way, the Apocalypse wasn’t necessarily an end, but rather the dawn of a new age!

One could only say that with danger comes opportunity.

Jiang Cai’Er presided over the meeting while an assistant led the presentation, and Li Xiang listened attentively.

The general plan was as follows:

The hull’s structural design was divided into two main areas: biological material utilization and hull reinforcement technology.

Biological Material Utilization: The plan was to convert the body of a Divine Tier Exotic Beast into an Aerospace Carrier by retaining its skeleton and carapace as the primary framework. The natural durability of a Space Exotic Beast’s body could already withstand cosmic radiation and meteorite impacts, which would eliminate the massive engineering undertaking of constructing a hull from scratch.

The Exotic Beast’s internal cavities would be hollowed out and repurposed into an energy bay, a life-support and recycling zone, and storage space, among other things. Some of the bioactive tissue would be preserved to enhance the structure’s self-repair capabilities.

As for reinforcement, the design would combine existing scientific technology with advances in Extraordinary research. For example, the Exotic Beast’s carapace would be covered with a nanoscale alloy coating to improve its compressive strength and energy conduction efficiency. At key locations, such as the engine array interfaces, bio-engineered synthetic Spiritual Energy Matrixes would be implanted to enhance compatibility with the Helium-3 engines.

Arguably, the most crucial component of a Stellar Mother Ship is its engine system.

An Exotic Beast Aerospace Carrier hundreds of kilometers long would require the development of much more powerful engines. This wasn’t a problem that could be solved with a single, dual, or even triple-engine setup. Jiang Cai’Er’s plan was to use six engine arrays, with each array driven by 30 serially-linked Helium-3 controllable Nuclear Fusion Reactors, for a total of 180 reactors.

The design also incorporated redundancy: each array would operate independently. If a single reactor failed, a smart control system could redistribute the load to the other units within the same array, ensuring stable thrust output.
