Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 467: Chapter 241: Night of Chaos

Due to the temporary announcement issued by the Hymn Company, Wilduo City quickly became the focus of global attention.

The first to bear the pressure was not the Security Department responsible for tracking the Hymn Hunters, but the aviation capacity of Wilduo City.

All flights to Wilduo City were fully booked, and many journalists couldn’t even get tickets, so they had to fly to the neighboring city and drive to Wilduo City.

Apart from regular flights, tycoons related to high-tech and military arms also arrived in Wilduo City overnight on private jets.

In one night, the presidential suites of Wilduo City were in greater demand than supply.

Taking a walk on Second Avenue and in front of the Hymn Building these days, people would be surprised to find that there are so many wealthy people in the world.

These tycoons include Hymn Company investors, partners, big clients, and those about to become clients; none of them can be slighted.

To deal with these people, the already busy Hymn Company was practically steaming with activity, especially many seventh-level managers, who wished they could sprint everything in a fifty-meter dash.

People like Fei Guang and Chiba, who had just been promoted to second-level employees, were supervised to run and work.

In the interval after delivering documents, the two slipped into Wu Chang’s office, intending to apply with Wu Chang for special leave, but before they could finish speaking, the secretary pushed in, saying:

”What are you doing here? Director Wu Tian is looking for you, he wants you to meet him in the hall in ninety seconds.”

Wu Chang shrugged at the two of them, saying, ”Bear with it, it’s just two days.”

Watching the two with pale faces being dragged out by the secretary, Wu Chang leaned back in his office chair and waved at them.

The entire Hymn Company was frantically busy, wishing they could grow three heads and six arms, except for him, who was the only one not assigned work and could leisurely goof off.

As a ninth-level partner, clients with too low a level couldn’t see him at all, and high-level clients were all entangled with Schultz, Mo Ke, and Hughes, as if all the troubles automatically bypassed him, making him exceptionally relaxed.

In such rare free time, he began to browse through the news from the Intelligence Department, the information with ninth-level partner’s clearance, each piece worth at least a thousand Rotten Silver Coins outside the instance.

While browsing intelligence, he started to replay in his mind the progress of the current instance.

Mainline task one, he completed it without a doubt, and it was completed perfectly, as being a ninth-level partner was the extreme for staff, going further could only be chairman.

Mainline task two, investigating the hidden secrets of the Hymn Company.

The secrets of the Hymn Company are related to the three core secrets once bounty hunted by the Iron Armor Corps.

The first, the method of producing Essence Armor, he had thoroughly investigated; it is screened and guided by a mysterious computer in a hidden room, cultivating raw material meeting the Virtue Value standards, then converting that employee into Essence Armor.

The second, the location of the superlab, refers to the Nest and the lab for manufacturing Essence Armor, one is located below the city hall, the other below the plaza not far from the Hymn Building, so it could be considered he completed the task.

As for the third secret involved, it should be the ”Praise Poem Plan” mentioned by Farrell.

As long as he captures Mo Ke, this secret can also be unravelled.

In the current instance, the only unresolved issues are mainline task three and Raymond’s hidden side mission.

Mainline task three requires the Peace Value not to fall below 30.

Since he got rid of Farrell, the Peace Value of Wilduo City surged from 59 to 66, seeming to signal a great situation, but in reality, it’s all castles in the air.

As a saying at the gambling table goes, what wins first is paper.

The Nest, Essence Armor, Praise Poem Plan, what the Iron Armor Corps is searching for, and the secrets of Schultz he can’t see through, each is a time bomb.

Once detonated, not to mention the Peace Value dropping below 30, turning Wilduo City into the former Sid Town isn’t impossible.

Especially Raymond’s hidden side mission, which requires exposing the Hymn Company’s conspiracy, was destined to lead to a huge conflict.

The most prudent way to complete it would be to find Schultz directly, call up True Self, and 1v1 single-handedly kill Schultz.

No matter how many secrets Schultz harbors, he can’t withstand Twin Harmony.

But the issue is, if possible, he doesn’t want to kill Schultz.

If Schultz were a stranger or acted wholly like Farrell with everything based on profit, Wu Chang would now have already settled the instance.

For other players, a perfect completion of the instance might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but for him, an imperfect completion is quite rare instead, even to the extent that with his level of plot exploration, it’s very possible that missing one mainline task still yields an S rating.

Under such circumstances, the manner of instance completion is more important than the completion itself.

If it’s just to finish the instance, and the mainline tasks override his true nature, would he not become a puppet of the Abyssal Game?

Completing the instance is important, but keeping true to oneself is more important.

Wu Chang has always been about distinguishing between gratitude and resentment clearly in his actions.

In the case of the Everlasting Peace instance, if Chi Yuan wasn’t too deeply obsessed or insistent on taking action against him, he didn’t plan to go too hard on Chi Yuan.

Just as in the current situation at the Hymn Company, before uncovering all the secrets, he is willing to give Schultz a chance.

The outcome of everything will depend on the content of the Praise Poem Plan.

In Wu Chang’s eyes, the instance core has shifted from Schultz to Mo Ke.

Mo Ke must be dealt with.
