Chapter 3996: Don’t Cry

She would not cry.

G3 said, “Don’t cry, wait for him.” Ye jian nodded and agreed.

She wouldn’t cry.

What was the use of crying now?

Ye Jian touched her face that was wet with sweat. Her tongue was injured. She said in a soft voice with difficulty, “I don’t want to cry. I just want to wait. I want to wait for our captain to come back.” She wanted to wait for her lover to come back.

Her lover meant what he said. Once he made a promise, he would definitely do it.

G3 was right. Her lover wouldn’t do something he wasn’t confident in. He knew that he was waiting for her to come back, so how could he go back on his word?

Her words made G3 purse his lips. After a long time, he heaved a sigh of relief. His throat wasn’t as tense as before. “Don’t worry, Azure Bird. He will definitely come back.”

Yes, Captain Xia, who never did anything he wasn’t sure of, would definitely come back.

As a father, Commander Xia also believed that his son would come back.

After receiving the latest news from the Xueyu unit, Commander Xia, who was in the Yun Province Military District, stood in front of the window quietly and looked ahead.

In front of him was Myanmar. He could still see the mountains in Myanmar.

On the other side of the mountains, his only son, whom he was so proud of, let his comrade stab his dagger into his chest for his mission…

His future daughter-in-law had watched on helplessly. In the end, she vomited blood twice and was dragged away by her comrades. Her comrades said that it was as if her soul was gone.

How could this child not be agitated when she saw her comrade stabbing a knife into Little Six’s chest?

He just hoped that the child would be able to survive this.

They were not a group of ordinary soldiers. They would face things that they didn’t want to at all times. They wouldn’t want to face them, but they had no choice but to face them. Hence, Ye Jian had to survive.

Commander Xia sighed heavily. He had just smoked, and his hand was in his pocket. He couldn’t sleep for the entire night, so he smoked and stood alone until dawn broke.

The sky was bright. The sunshine landed on the mountains.

After walking for an entire night, the members of the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade continued walking with the female soldier. They had to walk to the Mekong River. There, a disguised assignments boat would pick them up and they would take the assignments boat to sneak back to the country.

Their return wasn’t smooth. Although General Minlai said that he didn’t think that the people who destroyed the entire village were soldiers sent by the Chinese, he believed it.

He believed that Qin Maosheng kidnapped the Chinese female soldiers. He also believed that the photos of him forcing the female soldiers to kneel would be sent to the Chinese border defense.

Since the Chinese side didn’t admit that their female soldiers were kidnapped and brought to Myanmar, what would happen if he sent people to kill the Chinese female soldiers?

Hahaha, China wouldn’t do anything. They would just accept it.

It was their fault for saying that no female soldier was kidnapped by the Burmese army!

Starting in the early morning, General Minlai started to set up a checkpoint to strictly check all the vehicles that entered China’s territory. He also carried out strict checks on all the ports in an attempt to stop the Chinese female soldiers from going back.

Zhou Yijin and Liu Le had been following the members of the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade. Now, there were 14 male soldiers beside them who were part of the rescue operation. Hence, after walking for the entire night, they went from fear to calmness. Now, when they saw the Burmese soldiers patrolling the mountain path ahead, they could calmly follow the male soldiers back to the forest.

The Chinese side had been paying attention to the movements of the two female soldiers and knew what General Minlai was planning. Before, they were happy that the village controlled by Qin Maosheng was destroyed. Now, no one was happy.

Major General Yang also reminded them not to appear too happy in front of Commander Xia. It wouldn’t be too late to be happy when the soldiers from the other military unit returned to the country.
