Chapter 3979: Fatal

Luke, who was still shooting, shouted so loudly that Cobra, who was above, could hear him. Knowing that his two capable subordinates were still holding up, Cobra heaved a sigh of relief.

The bodyguard that was protecting him sent another person to shoot and bring up the rear. Now, there were only three people beside him. Cobra’s expression wasn’t as calm as before.

Bang!

A bodyguard was hit in the waist. The huge contusion caused him to fall backward. Blood instantly flowed out from his waist. The bodyguard didn’t fall completely. He leaned against the tree and continued to raise his rifle and shoot forward.

He couldn’t see where his target was and could only shoot in the direction where the bullets came from.

X’s face was a little pale as he covered his injured arm and cursed in a low voice. He said through his earpiece, “I’m hanging up too. I got shot in the hand.”

“The people around him have fast reactions. Don’t shoot continuously. Once you finish shooting, dodge immediately and fill in the gaps from the other side.”

Fortunately, the shooting range was long, so the threat of bullets was much lower. The bullet pierced through his arm muscles directly, saving him the trouble of taking the bullet.

Y took out a sanitary pack and bandaged his wound. When he heard that, he said in a low voice, “That person should be injured too. Find him and shoot him again. Leaving him alive is a disaster. Kill him if you can.”

He used a knife to cut open the camouflage uniform. First, he gave X an injection to ease the pain. Then, he treated the wound and bandaged it.

The tear was a little big and needed to be sutured with a needle. Y didn’t do that and only bandaged it. If X still needed to move forward, he would definitely suture it. Now that he could rest, there was no need for that. Otherwise, it was troublesome to take out the suture again when he entered the hospital.

Xia Jinyuan had already told his comrades that the four bodyguards beside Cobra were quite powerful. They were not inferior to the special forces. They rarely acted, but once they did, they could kill their opponents.

To ensure that his comrades wouldn’t be harmed by these four people, Xia Jinyuan decided to settle the entire combat in the forest.

With the cover of leaves and night, as well as the help of night-vision combat equipment, Xia Jinyuan tried his best to minimize the casualty rate.

He could only lower the sacrifice rate. He couldn’t guarantee that the sacrifice rate would be zero.

On the battlefield, no one could guarantee zero sacrifices. They could only try their best to reduce the casualty rate.

Cobra knew that one of his personal bodyguards was injured, but fortunately, Luke and Xia had already walked to his side. The two of them brought up the rear again so that he could have more chances to escape.

However, the people chasing after them weren’t just coming from one direction. They were surrounding the group from all directions.

Cobra’s pale face turned even paler. The bullets came from below. They didn’t even have the chance to raise their heads.

They kept running up the mountain. They had no other choice but to go up.

Halfway up the mountain, E6, X, and Y stayed behind to guard the mountain. Now, the three of them were already ‘killed’. The chance to force Cobra up the mountain would be left to their comrades.

Luke rubbed away the grass and wood shavings in his eyes. His voice was tense as he said, “Let’s see if there’s any signal. We need General Minlai’s support.”

This was the first time he was in such a sorry state. The viciousness in his eyes surged like dark clouds. To prevent the light source of his cell phone from revealing his location, he covered his upper body with his clothes before taking out his cell phone.

Even when a weak signal appeared on the screen, the call couldn’t be completed successfully.

He couldn’t complete the call, but he could send a message!

Cobra, who had no choice but to retaliate, quickly pressed the button. He wasn’t excited because there was a signal. He didn’t know if General Minlai would help him or not when he received his message.
