Chapter 3898: Dispel Suspect

After knowing that his two subordinates had safely entered Myanmar, Cobra’s mood improved a lot. Hearing that Luke was concerned about his safety, he felt much better.

Having a loyal subordinate was a good thing for him.

“Sir, Qin Maosheng deliberately asked us to come to China to trade for him. Does he have other arrangements?” Luke continued in a deep voice, “All the goods in the car were crystal sugar. There were very, very small amounts of drugs. I don’t believe that he needed us to drive a truck into China for less than 50 grams of drugs. I’m worried that he has some schemes that we don’t know about.

“His scheming makes me very worried about your safety, sir.”

Cobra believed in Luke’s loyalty and accepted his words. The paintbrush in his hand gently drew the shadows of the mountains. His slightly narrowed eyes contained an extremely cold and sinister smile. “You’re right. He did make use of you and Xia. However, everything is fine now. You’ve returned safely. It’s time for us to leave.

“I’m very safe now. I won’t give him a chance to scheme against me. I’m sorry for what happened this time, Luke. I was too anxious to establish a cooperation with him and the Myanmar military behind him. I didn’t notice his scheme in time.”

He apologized very sincerely. Based on his tone, one wouldn’t be able to believe that he had instructed his personal bodyguard to kill Xia Jinyuan and Luke if they were watched closely by the Chinese.

Luke whispered a few more sentences and mentioned many times that if it wasn’t for Xia Jinyuan, they wouldn’t have been able to come back alive. Cobra, who was preparing to wash his paintbrush, nodded and praised Xia Jinyuan’s performance.

Before ending the call, Cobra asked Luke casually, “Were you always with Xia?”

“Yes, sir. We were always together. I suggested that we split up and escape, but Xia reminded me that if we did that, the other person wouldn’t be able to help out in time if anything were to happen.”

Only then did Cobra end the call. There was a happy smile on his thin face.

They were always together. Not bad.

Both of them were very capable. He believed that they had what it took to escape.

Next, it was time to have a good chat with Qin Maosheng, a friend who wasn’t very sincere.

The people around Cobra relaxed. Their boss finally smiled and asked them to put away the drawing board.

V8 and the other three had already been observing the entire process. They saw Cobra carrying a drawing board and painting gloomily. They also saw him laughing when he received the call and asking his subordinates to put away the drawing board. He then returned to the wooden house.

The bodyguard beside him looked around vigilantly before returning to the wooden house.

When the bodyguard looked around, V8 immediately hid behind a tree. He only heaved a sigh of relief when the other party only left two people guarding outside the wooden house.

Q King’s reminder was really important. He wanted to let them know how cautious Cobra was. Fortunately, they chose to keep a close eye on him from afar. If they kept a close eye on him, they might be discovered by the people around him.

To prevent themselves from being discovered by Cobra, V8 and the other three didn’t interact much. They just watched silently and waited for Xia Jinyuan to return.

Qin Maosheng didn’t have time to chat with Cobra. He came back from the military unit of the commander-in-chief of Myanmar and started planning to arrange for people to negotiate with the Chinese armed police.
