Most importantly, she believed that her sixth cousin-in-law would definitely come and save her personally. Among her family, only her sixth cousin might come and save her. However, her sixth cousin hadn’t returned home for a year, so she couldn’t expect him to come.

That meant that there was only her sixth cousin-in-law left. Since her sixth cousin-in-law was able to leave with her sixth cousin back then, the possibility of her coming to save her personally was higher.

Zhou Yijin had been exposed to trichloromethane. When she woke up, she wanted to observe the environment first. However, her eyes were covered, so she gave up. After that, she wanted to escape, but her hands and legs were tied up. She couldn’t save herself, so she could only ask for help.

Fortunately, due to the environment she grew up in, she didn’t panic just because she had been kidnapped. After analyzing the most effective ‘rescue’ plan, she only had time to type the word ‘help’ to Ye Jian.

Just as she turned off her phone and before she could hide it in her military boots, her comrade, who was kidnapped with her, made muffled sounds from her throat to tell her that someone was coming.

The sound of metal chains rattling could be heard from outside the rusty iron door. Right on the heels of that, someone kicked the iron door open forcefully. Zhou Yijin pretended to be very frightened and kept shrinking back. She clasped her hands behind her back, stuffing her phone into the haystack.

The moment the message was sent, Zhou Yijin no longer felt as panicky. She calmed down, and her thoughts were very clear. Even though she was very frightened now, she knew that she should cooperate obediently and not resist.

She believed that with her cousin-in-law’s intelligence, Ye Jian would know that she was in danger and needed help.

Zhou Yijin was blindfolded. When she heard her comrade struggling, she retreated to a corner of the cold wall. She had nowhere else to go.

Someone grabbed her collar forcefully. The next second, the ropes tying her legs were cut off and she was pushed out of the room that was filled with the smell of humidity and cow dung.

Zhou Yijin, who was pushed out of the room, was separated from her comrade. She spent the next few hours on a bumpy car ride. She knew that she was getting farther and farther away from the border defense company. She didn’t know where she was being taken to. She only knew that she had been sitting in the car. Other than that, the surroundings were so quiet that there was no sound at all.

There was something stuffed into her mouth. Her hands and legs were tied up. She curled up in the car as her body swayed. Yijin closed her eyes, forcing herself to take a nap.

Half an hour after their departure, the members of the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade sent by the Yun Province military district found a cell phone among the stacks of hay belonging to the border ethnic minorities. After checking and confirming it, they sent a message. It was confirmed that the cell phone belonged to the missing female soldier, Zhou Yijin.

They found her cell phone, but she wasn’t there.

The members of the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade continued their search. The border defense drug inspection team received the latest news. When Xu Yu received the news, he stood alone for several minutes. Then, he called the Yun Province military district.

Commander Xia received another call from the Yun Province military district. It had been two hours since Zhou Yijin sent Ye Jian the distress message. He stood there and picked up the landline phone. He quietly listened to the latest updates from the Yun Province military district and their next deployment. After a long time, Commander Xia pursed his lips and asked in a low voice, “Is there no other way?”

His deep voice contained the dignity of someone who had been in a high position for a long time. The expression of the leader of the Yun Province military district became more and more solemn. “No, Commander. We’ve been discussing this problem for half an hour. Time is tight. We could only report to you first and see if it’s possible.”
