Chapter 3872: Nothing To Do With Gender

Ye Jian was the core of this mission. The armed police officers explained the entire combat deployment clearly. Sometimes, they would even ask Ye Jian if she understood and if there was anything she didn’t understand.

They all knew how important Ye Jian was, so they didn’t dare to be careless.

“This time, you only have one main mission—get close to Qin Maosheng and kill him secretly. After you succeed, the members of the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade will help you leave Myanmar.

“Ye Jian, this mission is very dangerous, and you’ll be completing it alone. When you escape, the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade can only support you from the periphery. They can’t support you all the way.

“Previously, we planned to send a male soldier from the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade to pretend that he was kidnapped by Qin Maosheng. Then, he’d find an opportunity to kill Qin Maosheng. However, Qin Maosheng wants to kidnap our soldiers and is only targeting female soldiers. Unfortunately, the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade hasn’t recruited any female soldiers yet. Our drug hunting team doesn’t have any female soldiers who can enter the enemy’s territory and fight alone. Commander Xu mentioned you…”

Ye Jian raised her head from the photo and looked at the armed police officer who was talking to her. “Is the Commander Xu you’re talking about Captain Xu Yu?”

“That’s right. Commander Xu said that as long as we mention him to you, you’ll definitely know who he is. Commander Xu said that four years ago, our comrades from the border defense drug inspection team cooperated with you. It’s all thanks to you that we were able to kill all the fugitives.”

She didn’t expect to meet a team that she had cooperated with once before. Four or five years ago, they went to the border to survive in the wild. Xu Yu’s main team cooperated with the border defense team and wiped out a group of people making drugs. That time, a scout was sacrificed. It was also… the first time she saw her comrade get sacrificed. Because of this, her emotions were affected. It was Captain Xia who enlightened her and made her mood improve gradually.

This time, they met again.

She had to admit that she was fated with Commander Xu’s soldiers.

The person who picked Ye Jian up was a veteran armed police officer. However, he didn’t know about Ye Jian’s cooperation with Xu Yu’s main team. He only knew that the female student in front of him was quite powerful. She was a sniper and had strong individual combat ability. When Commander Xu mentioned her, he said that he couldn’t find another female soldier who was qualified for this mission.

Xu Yu’s commander-in-chief reported to the Yun Province military district. The military district also mentioned it to the military. In the end, the person-in-charge nodded. It was only then that he and his comrade went to the airport.

Ye Jian didn’t expect Xu Yu to still remember her and even think of letting her participate in this mission. This time, it was all thanks to Commander Xu. If not, she might not be able to participate in this mission.

She had to thank Commander Xu properly.

Ye Jian smiled and asked, “Where is Commander Xu now? Can I see him?”

“Yes, Commander Xu said that he didn’t manage to apologize to you in person last time. This time, he’ll personally drive you… over.” Probably because he knew that the place they were going to send Ye Jian was the place they’d lure Qin Maosheng to kidnap her, the voice of the armed police officer became softer. There was even a hint of guilt in his eyes.

This was a matter of life and death. The male soldiers should be the ones rushing to the front, but a female soldier had to do it. The male soldiers felt a little guilty.

Ye Jian didn’t think much of it. Male soldiers and female soldiers were the same. They were all wearing military uniforms, so why would they differentiate between males and females? They were all soldiers!
