Death… And Me

Chapter 3334: The White Fog

”Eh?” Rean scratched the back of his head. ”Is something wrong? Thatʼs quite a big city, you know?”

The Formation master snorted. ”Hmph! I wonder if there is even a city there anymore. In any case, there are no teleport formations to bring you there at the moment. You should just give up. Now, just leave me alone, as I have work to do.”

The twinsʼ group was left alone as the guy moved away. Looking at Roan, Rean could guess what he wanted. ”Information gathering?”

”Seems like it...” Roan nodded.

”You guys wait here and see what you can find. Iʼll try to ask the other formations masters here,” Rean said, staying behind.

Roan nodded. The rest of their group gathered around Roan, and the first thing they did was use their CDs. The Divine Snow World Network shared news just like the normal Werdlem Network, so there was bound to be something in there about Valames.

Sure enough, it didnʼt take long for the twins to find out what was happening. In fact, Rifindio was the first one to sport the issue. ”Here, I found it.”

Rifindio quickly shared the information with the othersʼ CDs, allowing everyone to see the same information.

-Valames City, does the city still exist?-

That was the title of the article, causing everyone to narrow their eyes. Of course, they read the rest of the article.

-It has been four months since the entire Valames Valley was enveloped in a deep white fog. Regardless of who tries to go in, everyone ends up back outside. Various experts from the Qediya Continent have been investigating this issue, but so far, no news has come out from the Qediya Authorities.-

-Four months ago, the various cities connected to Qediya through teleport formations first announced that the other side wasnʼt answering anymore. As everyone knows teleport formations need to connect to each other to work. It was as if the formations from Valames disappeared.-

-Not long after, the first reports regarding the Valames City Situation came out. At first, the authorities tried to cover the news, but that was to no avail. It is not just Valames City that is covered in that fog, after all, but the entire valley, which spans several hundreds of kilometers. It was simply impossible to conceal such a big phenomenon in such a short time for the Qediya Authorities.-

-Today, our Tigans Sect sent a few of our experts inside to verify, but just like everyone else, they soon found themselves out of the fog. The weird part is that they always ended up on the other side of the fog as if they were teleported from one side to the other. Other than that, no dangers have been reported yet.-

-Keep checking our official website as we keep a close eye on the situation. Is it a treasure? Is it an attack? Is it an experiment? Many theories are flying around. We will let you know as soon as we have something concrete.-

-Tigans Sect.-

Everyone looked at each other. That was only one of the outlets releasing that kind of news. After a quick search, they found similar news from other sources, all talking about the same situation in Valames.

”From the looks of it, the place is out of limits, but some powers were given the green card to help with the investigation,” Kentucky commented.

Roan pondered a bit, looking at Rifindio right after. ”We might need the spaceship to go there. Is it ready to fly?”

”Absolutely.” Rifindio nodded. He knew the Spaceship might be useful with its ability to travel through space. Thatʼs why they brought it with them, and thatʼs also why he took good care of it during the years it had been standing in the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.

Roan then looked at one of the counters in the Formations Guild reception, seeing Rean walking back in the midst of the crowd.

Rean had been seeing everything through Roanʼs connection, so he knew what they found in the network. ”Alright, I checked the best way to get there. If we want to go, the nearest city is Ditosrei, five countries away from Olanstel. The nearby countries were also closed for travel through teleport formation. Seems like the Qediya Continent is trying to keep everyone out so they wonʼt cause trouble.”

They didnʼt have a reason to wait there, so they quickly went to the room with local teleport formations. Yet, when they tried to pay for the teleport to Ditosrei City, the Formations Master refused their request. ”We are already fully booked for all the countries surrounding the phenomenon in Olanstel Country. Unless you have a special permit, the best we can do is to teleport you to Pantawon Country instead.”

Rean narrowed his eyes and checked where that country was. It wasnʼt just five countries away, but twenty countries instead. ”Thatʼs quite far indeed...”

”Thatʼs good enough,” Rifindio didnʼt mind. ”Just leave the rest to me.”

They all nodded before Rean paid the fee for the teleportation. Soon, their time arrived, and they teleported for the last time.

Herdins City was the big City in Pantawon Country and the nearest to the next country to the south. Olanstel Country was also in the south of the continent but even further down.

Coming out of the city, the twinsʼ group flew away until there wasnʼt anyone looking anymore. Finally, Rean and Roan willed it, and the Spaceship saw the light of the day for the first time in years.

Rifindio was already there, checking all the systems. Once inside, everyone gathered on the bridge while Rean used the runes on the ship to help spread his Light Element. Just like before, the Spaceship completely disappeared from Sight and Divine Sense detection.

Rifindio finished his work, quickly asking right after. ”Iʼm done here. We can go at any time.ʼ

”Then go ahead.” Roan gave the order.

Rifindio smiled and activated the engines. Soon, a Spatial crack appeared in midair, with the Spaceship flying into it.
