Death… And Me

Chapter 3270: Sneaking Around

Rean didnʼt care that the presence of their spaceship would be caught. All he needed was that no one saw it with their eyes or spiritual senses. As long as the experts from Yurgel went there and didnʼt find anything, they would definitely think the readings they got were nothing but some interference or bug in their system.

Rean, Roan, Rifindio, Kentucky, and Renata were now flying through space. Yurgal Planet was right in front of them, and they could go down anytime they wanted. As for Marev, Diliy and the others, they were sent back into the Dimensional Realm.

Of course, if Closal Planet, which was so much smaller and less important, had a planetary protection and monitoring formation, how could Yurgal not have one?

[Alright, this is the limit.] Sister Orb spoke to the twins. [If you go further than this, the formation ahead will catch your presence. It goes without saying that it is a divine-level formation, so hacking into it would take quite some time.]

Roan shook his head, looking at the various space stations in the surroundings. There was pretty much one every few hundred kilometers. They even had to move aside a few times to avoid some of the spaceships passing by. ”Letʼs just do as Rean did before. We will enter one of those space stations and go down from there.”

[Oh! If thatʼs the case, it will be a lot easier. Let me check the formations of the space stations in the surroundings and see which one is the easiest to hack into their protection and monitoring formations.]

The System worked as Sister Orb wanted, and a few seconds later, she already had an answer. [That one! Itʼs just a little over a thousand kilometers away.]

Rean narrowed his eyes, trying to see it at all. ”Sister Orb, not everyone has Kentuckyʼs eyes, you know?”

Even though the stations were big, to see one of them over a thousand kilometers with the naked eye wasnʼt very feasible. Even Kentucky had some difficulty, barely seeing a dot in the distance. ”I think I can see it. Everyone, just jump on my back. I will bring us there.”

In any case, Sister Orb passed them the exact location so they wouldnʼt get lost.

Kentucky flew while Rifindio and Renata kept themselves in their humanoid forms on his back. Rean, obviously, kept operating his Light and Divine Sense Bending Skills. As for Roan, he just sat there in silence. They couldnʼt go in a straight line as well. Many Spiritual Senses at the Transition Realm appeared one after another, so Rean had to guide Kentucky so they wouldnʼt get too close.

On the side, Renata looked at all of that and couldnʼt help but look excited. ”This is fun!” ”What is it?” Rifindio asked.

”Canʼt you see? You and I passed through this place and everyone got out of the way because of our identity. There was nothing interesting about that since thatʼs the norm. Now, however, we need to get back without anyone noticing. Donʼt you think this is a lot funnier?”

Rifindio sighed. ”You do know that if we are found here, we would have the entire planet on our backs because of you, right? No doubt Yurgel also received the news about your ʼkidnappingʼ back in Closal Planet.”

”Hmph!” Renata didnʼt care. ”I just have to stay hidden, donʼt I? You are no fun.”

Rean didnʼt know whether to laugh or cry. Nonetheless, their journey was smooth, and Kentucky arrived at the stations after a while.

Different from the other stations around, this one seemed quite rundown. There were holes in the walls; part of it seemed to be missing, and they couldnʼt se more than two spaceships docked on it. They even wondered how this thing was still standing in space.

”Is this really the right one?” Rean couldnʼt help but ask.

[Thatʼs the one. The formations around it are truly terrible, just a single Golden Level and the rest were at Silver Level. Hacking into them will be easy.]

Kentucky went back to his humanoid form, while Roan found it just perfect. ”The worse, the better.”

[Done!] Sure enough, Sister Orb had no trouble dealing with the formations there. [You can get inside that station, and no one will notice your approach. Of course, be careful with the spiritual senses of others.]

Rean then passed two bracelets over, one to Rifindio, and one to Renata. ”Wear these and follow me.”

They approached the station, and using one of the docks, they passed by an energy barrier that separated the void from the outside from the atmosphere inside.

A small group of workers were fixing some things on the hull of a spaceship and didnʼt notice the twinsʼ group approach. Of course, with Rean Light Bending, they wouldnʼt see anything anyway.

Rean looked around, and not long after, he saw another worker reading a few things on his CD, away from the other people. ”Look, our free pass is standing right there.”

*Tud!*

The guy didnʼt know what happened. One minute, he was confirming the repair list on his CD, and the next, everything went black. He disappeared like magic, and no one saw it happening. Rean, obviously, put up the work and used the system to analyze the guyʼs Werdlem Stone Signature. Not long after, his body began to emanate the same signature energy as the guy he just captured. ”Letʼs give it a try.”

Rean went to one of the terminals and quickly checked his credentials. ”Seems to be okay. Errr... his name is Podertio, and he is a senior navigation circuitry runes specialist. Well, that doesnʼt matter. Letʼs check this stationʼs map.”

They all looked at the terminal together, and soon, they found their way to the space elevator on the map. With that out of the way, they all moved together.

”Hey, Podertio. Where are you?” Suddenly, someone arrived at their location, looking for the guy Rean knocked out. ”Eh?” In the next moment, he saw the man on the corner, in a position where he seemed to be having a nice nap.

*Bang!*

*Arrghh!*

The man kicked Podertio, who immediately woke up in pain. ”Why did you do that?”

”Why? Do you even ask? We are working our asses off, and here you are, sleeping? Did I interrupt your nice dreams? Where the hell are the runes that I asked?” The man was fuming.

As for Podertio, he was completely lost. He doesnʼt remember to have fallen asleep at all. Yet, there was nothing wrong with him as far as he could see. ”Right, right... my bad... I think... I have your runes right here.”

Meanwhile, no one saw that Podertioʼs ID was used for a group to move to another area of the station.
