Death… And Me

Chapter 3291: Juby Race

Working further with Zangeshuʼs idea, the two ended up reaching for the same concept as Reanʼs bracelets.

”The bracelets can accept other beingsʼ Werdlem Stones and copy their signature, making it look like your own. As long as you have different Werdlem Stones, you have a plethora of identities. I try to refrain from using this method since the Werdlem System might catch something,” Rean commented.

Zangeshu agreed. ”By using this method, we can make a slot for the VS Devices and then change the VS Devices as we wish if we need a new one. We can even make a combo. We can still refrain from using different Werdlem Stones, but if the necessity appears, we wonʼt need to use a bracelet separately. We can just throw the Werdlem Stone into the CD.”

”Oh!” Rean loved the idea. ”So, we will make a CD that can accept the VS Devices and different Werdlem Stones at the same time. We can even make the CD use the signature of the Werdlem Stone attached to it first, then the signature coming from our own stones if there is no Werdlem Stone attached to it. Well, I donʼt have a stone in my body, but you and the others do.”

The project, which was initially thought to simply allow them to use the Divine Snow World network, quickly grew in concept. Rean and Zangeshu kept coming up with different apparatus to add to that monstrosity. They didnʼt even see the time passing anymore.

In the end, Roan had to step in to stop the two. ”How fucking long are you two intending to work on these shits? You have been at it for over a month already! Just make a CD that can use the VS Device and give it to us.”

”Ah!” Rean looked behind Roan, and there he saw Foliana and the others. They had also been locked in this place all this while, just waiting for the devices to be ready. ”Ahem... we went a little too far. Zangeshu, we already have a prototype of a CD that only uses the VS Device, donʼt we?”

Zangeshu didnʼt regret it, though. ”I will still work on this project later. Our final concept will definitely see the light of the day. As for your question, that we have. Sister Orb should have attached the right runes we designed to it now.”

[Now? It was done over two weeks ago, and I told you that!]

Zangeshu looked away, pretending he didnʼt hear anything.

”Yes, yes...” Rean couldnʼt do that, though. ”Err... Foliana, come here. Give this prototype a try.”

Foliana sighed in relief, stepping forward and taking the device into her hands. ”It is even smaller than the CD we used before.”

”It had to,” Rean confirmed. ”We have access to better equipment in the Divine Realm, especially Divine Energy. It made it a lot easier to work on a much more compact and especially resistant model.”

Foliana didnʼt waste time and sent her Divine Sense into the Device. Initially, she was a little lost since all the options looked different from what she was used to. However, she quickly got a grasp of the situation. ”Hum... I managed to interact with it, but it doesnʼt seem like I can connect with the network.”

[Oh! Sorry, sorry. My mistake. I completely isolated the Dimensional Realm from the outside, preventing even the Network Signals from coming inside. The only thing entering this place is Divine Energy and nothing more. Wait a second; I will let the outside network signal enter now.]

The Dimensional Realm seemed to change a little, although everything still looked the same. Nonetheless, the moment it happened, Folianaʼs eyes lit up. She could see that the CD, which was being used to control the VS Device, had acquired the signal. It also read her own Divine Werdlem Stone Signature ID and was now asking for her information as a new user.

Foliana quickly added her information, only changing the part that could denounce her real origins in the Mortal World. Finally, as if by magic, her Werdlem Stone and Tony inside felt the Divine Energy in the surroundings. They could now cultivate and use Divine Energy again. ”So this is Divine-”

*Ugh!*

”There we go...” Rean spoke with a smile.

*arrrghh!*

Foliana immediately fell to the ground, her entire body going through an excruciating pain.

Diliy, Karev, and Marev looked at that, concerned. ”Is this supposed to happen?”

”Yes,” Roan nodded on the side. ”None of you have gone through the Divine Energy transformation yet since you are all blocked in the Werdlem Network. Divine Energy canʼt get to you. Now that she finally gained access to it again, she is now going through the process of adapting her body to Divine Energy. It is painful but necessary.”

Rean waved his hand, and Foliana disappeared. ”Well, it will take a while, so let her scream somewhere else where I canʼt hear. Diliy, Karev, Marev, Iʼll make another few copies for you too.”

Those three swallowed hard. For a moment, they wondered if they really needed Divine Energy. Of course, that idea quickly disappeared, and they prepared themselves for the inevitable.

With the blueprints ready, making another three copies wasnʼt hard. Rean, Zangeshu, and Sister Orb worked together, and the three new CDs with VS Devices attached to them came to life. By the end of the day, the Dimensional Realm had four people screaming in for different corners. No one could hear them, no one wanted it either.

Of course, Rean also made one extra, glancing at Zangeshu right after. ”You donʼt think I forgot you, right?”

”Hmph!” Zangeshu didnʼt want to use that ʼincompleteʼ version, but he knew Rean wouldnʼt let it go. ”Just give it to me.” He couldnʼt rely on the remaining Spiritual Energy in the Dimensional Realm forever. It was pretty much empty by now.

Then, the number of suffering people increased to five.

As those five enjoyed their moments, Rean turned back to Roan. ”I guess I can work on the better versions of the CD later. So, we still have a few things to work on.”

Roan nodded. ”But first...” he then waved his hand, and a gelatinous green ball suddenly appeared in front of them. ”We still have this guy to wake up. Sister Orb, let the laws of the Divine Realm enter the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. He should wake up once he gets in contact with them.”

Sure enough, the twins didnʼt forget Tanxan Tenxin, the slime. Well, for those who remember, his race was actually called Juby Race. Rean and Roan already forget about that, though.
