Death… And Me

Chapter 3325: The Method of Detection

Rean and Kentucky were taken aback. Sure, Reanʼs Divine Sense Bending Skill could detect other Divine Senses, and the stronger they were, the easier it was to detect. However, they couldnʼt pry into someone elseʼs Pocket Dimensional Realm. How could they know there was a Divine Bird inside Gianʼs Dimensional Realm?

ʼA Blue Luan... it had been a while since we saw one,ʼ Rean thought as he looked at it. ʼAlso in the Space-Time Realm Peak Stage.ʼ

*Bang!*

The giant bird landed in front of Rean and Kentucky, seemingly ready to just eat both of them. ”How dare you!”

Yet, before it could attack, Gian intervened. ”Wait, Ralakia!”

Ralakia, the Blue Luan, looked back at Gian, enraged. ”Why are you stopping me?! I have to kill this bird to set Ridia free!”

Kentucky pointed at himself. ”Kill me? Why? I didnʼt do anything.”

”You connected with her! Itʼs the pact between Divine Bird and Divine Tree!” Ralakia shouted. ”Until you die, no one will be able to connect with her again! How could you set your nest on her?!”

Rean looked at Kentucky, confused. ʼIs that true? Arenʼt you arenʼt connected to Celis with the same kind of pact?ʼ He asked through their connection.

ʼEver since we left our universe, that connection disappeared. Celis was also connected to you guys through the system, which was a different type of connection than the one a Divine Bird and Divine Tree have to each other. Nonetheless, you also canʼt feel his presence anymore, can you?ʼ Kentucky explained. ʼThatʼs why I knew I could take a new Divine Tree to make my nest in this Universe. I didnʼt really expect anyone to find us.ʼ

ʼI see...ʼ Rean had to admit Kentucky was right. He indeed couldnʼt feel Celis presence anymore. He knew Celes was alive since the systemʼs increased ability to absorb Cultivation Energies from outside came from Celisʼs intervention back then. Too bad that was all he could tell. ʼNow explain that to the Luan in front of you.ʼ

ʼAs if I could. Can I really tell it that we came from outside the Universe?ʼ Kentucky talked back.

ʼI guess not...ʼ Rean couldnʼt do much about it. ʼAnyway, letʼs see what they have to say. Worst case scenario, we enter the Dimensional Realm and leave where Roan left his exit.ʼ

Looking at Kentucky, he released Ridia, and she quickly ran to Kentuckyʼs side, hugging him. ”What are you doing?!” Ralakia got even crazier.

”Canʼt you see?” Yet, Gian seemed calm. ”She connected to that bird. What does that mean?”

Ralakiaʼs expression changed, and her eyes turned in Kentuckyʼs direction. ”Wait, you connected to her? Are you a Divine Demon Bird? How come I canʼt feel your Divine Bloodline at all?”

Well, Kentucky became really good at riding his bloodline, so it was normal that they didnʼt feel him. ”Letʼs just say that I need to keep it suppressed for some reason...”

Ralakia didnʼt accept the answer. ”Show me! Otherwise, even if you are a Divine Demon Bird, I will still kill you here.”

ʼCan you fake a Divine Bloodline instead of using your Regal Bloodline?ʼ Rean asked. It wouldnʼt be a good thing to reveal Kentuckyʼs bloodline here. If word got out, things might turn even more complicated.

Kentucky nodded. ʼIt is actually pretty simple. I am a Minokawa, after all. Even though I have a Regal Bloodline... Well, itʼs a Celestial Regal Bloodline now. Anyway, it is still a Minokawa bloodline, so I can simply release a tiny bit to the point itʼs impossible to tell the difference.ʼ And so, Kentucky did exactly that. It was pretty much the same as he did back in the Lisan Universe. Itʼs just that it was not adapted to the Celestial Regal Bloodline instead.

Ralakia and Gian quickly felt Kentuckyʼs bloodline, and they couldnʼt deny it was truly a Divine Bloodline. ”So it is truly a Divine Bloodline... Show us your real form.”

Kentucky proceeded to change into his Minokawa Form, surprising Gian and Ralakia. ”Just... what kind of Divine Bird are you?” Neither of them had ever seen a Minokawa before.

”Iʼm a Minokawa, but we a pretty rare, so it is normal neither of you knows about me. As I mentioned, I keep my bloodline suppressed most of the time, so I hope you can keep your mouths shut about it.” Kentucky explained.

Ralakia, now a lot calmer, narrowed her eyes, trying to remember something. ”Minokawa... I seem to have heard about this race once before. What was it... I canʼt remember.” In the end, Ralakia just shook her head. ”Whatever. Since you are a Divine Demon Bird, and one almost with the same cultivation as Ridia, then perhaps there is a chance for you to keep your life.” Rean and Kentucky looked at each other and nodded, returning their attention back to Gian and Ralakia. ”First... how did you find out about Ridia in the Pocket Dimensional Realm? Thatʼs something we must know at all costs.” Rean and Kentucky knew they could not let such a flaw go without fixing it.

Gian finally decided to tell Rean about it. ”I didnʼt really know she was in there. It was thanks to our Parasol Tree Race Innate Ability that I found out. Our Parasol Tree has an extremely high sensitivity towards auras, regardless of how small they are. No one can hide auras completely. Even if they do their best, there will always be a tiny bit of it escaping, and that is valid for all forms of life, regardless of cultivation.”

Gian continued. ”Itʼs just that when someone hides their aura to that extent, it is very unlikely anyone can find traces of it. There are even many techniques to help with such a thing.”

Then, he looked at Rean. ”When I arrived at the city, the first thing I did was to check the remnants of aura where Ridia was staying. Then...”

Gian didnʼt continue from there, but Rean knew what he meant. Kentucky isnʼt an idiot. He can hide his aura very well if necessary, and he did so together with Rifindio. However, with the Parasol Treeʼs innate ability, he was still able to detect Kentuckyʼs remnant aura, and also Rifindioʼs. From there, he just had to use his Divine Sense to find someone with the same remnant auras on their body. Rean, who lived with Kentucky and Rifindio all the time, obviously would have some of it, even if impossible to detect to anyone else other than the Divine Parasol Tree.

”Thatʼs quite a good innate ability...” Rean commented, sighing in the end.
