The Villain's Story

Chapter 766: The pain of perfection(3).

”I wish to know only of two things.”

Yes, Only two, I desire only two... Nothing besides that, my entire soul could be ripped apart by my damn staff, but if I only get those two, I will have no regrets.

All my damn life, All the times I killed myself and came to the past in this twisted way. All of it... will be worth it if I can know of it. The endless torment of my memories failing me, constant visions of a future and past I cannot recall.

All of it, would be solved if I just found out what they are hiding.

I faced my past self, the one still free from my endless torment, as I began to lose myself. Am I ripping my hair out? Is blood coming out of my eyes? My mouth?

I think so, not the first time it happened. I’ve been driven insane long ago, Would a Sane person steal Weaver’s eye and keep it in her staff?

Nah.

”The forgotten age, the secret the Dragon’s and God beasts hide. And whatever happens in the future, where my memory is blocked. Day’s I have lived, but I cannot recall.”

An age before the Alliance, before the elves, before the dwarves, before the orcs. Even before the great separation. I MUST, I MUST, know about it.

And for it, I’ll do anything. Even sacrifice myself and pass all the knowledge I gain to a past version of myself... and make myself stronger, just for knowledge.

Just to fulfill my curiosity, the knife that keeps stabbing my mind. Just to make sure it’s gone... For the endless torment of multiple versions of me colliding.

How does she see me? How does the past me see me now? A failing puppet crumbling to dust before her eyes, light being torn apart from my figure, and horrid abominations rising from my flesh to rip me apart?

I am a monster, driven insane by endless torment, the pain of my perfect memory failing me. I need to know.

I will know.

I must know.

A shriek escaped her mouth as I grabbed her chin with my left hand, I had to do this quickly, lest I turn to... something I don’t know. I opened her mouth, using only a fraction of my strength.

How fun, I could crush my brain with just a finger, and yet I refrained from doing so. I could end myself right here, right now, and perhaps save this iteration from the pain of endless torment.

But it will still exist, in me yet to be, in me of the past, and in me right now. It will always exist.

Vampires, are a unique race. One of the most powerful even, an endless lifespan fueled by the warmth of others, and one of the royal demons. However, this race interested me only because of one ability, a race I would always become, because it is what fate intended.

The true blood of a vampire. A singular drop of blood, cultivated from their birth to their end, something that could be the absolute peak of their lives, and even the greatest disgrace they wished to hide.

It could empower a vampire, in so, so many ways. Old ones done with life would give their true blood to their young, to raise powerful young...

But I? I did it to myself. The blood I bled for centuries, The power I gained after enduring hell for so many times.

I will give it to myself, over, and over again.

I will cultivate a true blood unlike any other, over many timelines, over many futures, and I will bestow it to myself, all to uncover a truth, and to glimpse at supremacy.

Something, so far, so beyond me even now. But I will reach it.

”Do this for me, ok?”

I said, as a drop of blood, emitting bright white light, erupted from my fingers. A drop of blood unlike any other, true blood of great power.

A light I cultivated over many lifetimes, A light I will continue to cultivate over many lifetimes. A light that contains everything I was, I am, and I will be.

”I am the culmination of my own selves... Past, present, and yet to be. I am the memory of every mistake, the pain of every second of torment, the refinement of every triumph... And I will be the architect of my own destiny, I will uncover that which remains hidden, and that which remains forgotten. I will bleed for every lesson, die for every truth. There will exist no future I cannot remember, and no past that can remain hidden from me...”

What is my voice? Is it filled with wrath? Frustration? Despair? A plea? I don’t know, but I will hear it so many times. Maybe she knows, the me I see, full of repulsion, and flustered.

Don’t worry, you will do this again too.

”I am the successor of Almada... I am Almada, one that is many, many that are one.”

The true blood fell on top of her tongue, and with that, her body exploded in a storm of blood, flesh and bone.

My body will go through a metamorphosis, My body will give itself up, kill itself... But as the iterations go by, as the endless loop continues.

I will glimpse at supremacy... in my way. I will take a supreme throne, and uncover everything.

And with that, I shall disappear, and I shall be birthed anew.

’I wonder, what did you see before it all?’

’I saw a face that was crying.’

That was what I saw, as a drop of blood entered my mouth, and filled me with energy I could not contain, triggering something within I was unaware.

I saw a face that was filled with rage, filled with despair, filled with determination, and eyes that could not stop crying. I saw my own face filled with so much I could not contain it.

Crumbling to dust, taken away by light, and deformed beyond belief. I saw a girl who was suffering.

A girl, who had long given up, but for some reason, was still going at it. A purpose I would find out soon enough, the rambling that didn’t make much sense would synchronize with me soon.

Somehow, I just knew it would.

******

”Dragon.”

I heard a voice, clear even amidst this bloody storm. A storm that did it’s best to rip my skin apart, tear into my flesh, but could not do anything to me.

My scales are tougher than a few drops of blood, My muscles are tougher than the steel wires that hold a bridge together. My body is tough, and reinforced with aura... I am unbreakable.

”How long will you continue this?”

I listened to him talk, as I lowered my knees, digging my feet into the ground, withstanding the onslaught. That vampire has not revealed all of his cards...

And so have I.

A forked spear appeared in my right hand, summoned from my inventory, the AME-No-Sakahoko. Enhanced by my aura, it pierced through the blood storm around me, creating a pocket of safety.

”Huuu...”

With aura, I can increase the power of my trump card. The seven-star technique used by Aranus himself. Of course, even with Aura, I can never replicate what I could do with it if I simply used chaos, but it would be enough.

For both me... and him.

My control over aura, although great, could not compare to my mana, and thus, it took me a while to wrap my spear with it, and spin every granule around, like a thousand chainsaws. I had to be so careful.

Lest the aura would collide with the mana hidden in my body, and create... a really big boom, from inside of me. I’d turn into a nuke.

I could see it, even within this storm. His face flinched as he noticed something was happening. The blood all around me disappeared like an illusion, and I saw fear apparent on his face.

And I could see my own crazed smile in his pupils, but unfortunately that sight was short-lived as he covered himself in so many defense spells that he looked funny doing it.

That won’t help you.

That won’t help you at all, from this.

My aura, even after this strike, will be plenty, but I need to save it. I still don’t know what’s happening to Sabrina, and I need to conserve some for my healing factor to be overpowering.

After this, I’ll switch to mana, and annihilate this bastard. I wonder if he regenerates, don’t vampires usually have that power?

Well, even if he does... could he regenerate when I make every drop of his blood disappear? I don’t think so.

Try handling this strike, you bat-bastard... and if you survive, I’ll make this world something I can enjoy fighting in.

I’ve been missing Lanekia’s atmosphere ever since I got here... I’ll bring it here.

”What is that?!”

Keep it up, keep covering yourself with all the defensive spells you can muster...

”What are you doing?!”

Not a single one will help you.
