The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2798: Chapter 2798: Returning the Favor (4)

Yang Ruxin originally didn’t want to get involved. After all, pursuits and killings in the martial world were all too common, and she wasn’t someone who liked to meddle in others’ affairs. She was anxious to get home now.

However, the person being chased saw someone and ran directly towards her.

Yang Ruxin was just about to leave, but then she caught a glimpse of the person’s face. Oh well, she couldn’t leave now, she recognized them. She immediately signaled to Yang Xiong and Chai Qin, ”Rescue them.”

Yang Xiong and Chai Qin leaped off their horses and dashed toward the group of people.

With their help, the person being pursued finally breathed a sigh of relief. But because of heavy blood loss, they couldn’t hold on and collapsed to the ground.

Yang Ruxin dismounted as well and slowly approached the person, ”Are you okay?” though she was checking his body. Luckily, despite being wounded over ten times, none of the injuries were fatal, which is why he managed to hold on until now.

”Won’t die,” the man opened his eyes and curled his lips, ”Can’t believe I ran into you.”

”Well, we are familiar faces, how could I just sit back and do nothing?” Yang Ruxin smiled, took out a medicine pill, and handed it over. ”Have Yang Xiong help you with your injuries in a bit.”

The person was none other than Wan Quan from Wanren Villa, known as the Seventh Young Master Wan.

After all, there had been some camaraderie with Wanren Villa back in the day. She helped them overcome the crisis from the Sun Cult, and they gifted the Blood-drinking Sword in return. Otherwise, who knows if Tang Wanqian would have made it out.

Later on, when she was hunting down Diewu, Wanren Villa also responded positively.

So, her helping out was kind of like returning a favor.

Wan Quan took the pill and swallowed it, then closed his eyes to regulate his breathing. His complexion quickly improved slightly, ”I originally thought I was done for, but running into madam means my time isn’t up yet.”

Yang Xiong and Chai Qin had returned by this point, having basically dealt with the pursuers, leaving only two who fled, but they didn’t give chase.

”Who were those people?” Yang Ruxin raised her eyebrows slightly.

”People sent by my second uncle,” Wan Quan sneered.

Yang Ruxin didn’t ask further questions. Currently, Wan Song was the villa master of Wanren Villa, and he had two half-brothers. The second brother, Wan Hong, had always been ambitious. Back when the Sun Cult controlled Wanren Villa, it had a lot to do with this Wan Hong. Unexpectedly, he dared to make a move now.

”Let’s go; they will probably send more people soon.” Yang Ruxin glanced around. The sun had already set, and it was unlikely they could reach the village ahead, but at least they needed to leave here.

Yang Xiong supported Wan Quan, and the four of them set off again. They crossed through Linzi and entered the territory of Changhuai State. However, they didn’t dare linger and continued running for a good while before stopping.

There was an abandoned straw hut by the roadside.

Although Wan Quan had taken the medicine pill, his external wounds were too many, and he was bleeding continuously, making him somewhat disoriented.

Yang Ruxin also knew that if the bleeding wasn’t stopped, the man would turn into a dried-up husk.

She started a fire, and Yang Xiong began helping Wan Quan bandage his wounds.

Wan Quan knew that Yang Ruxin was a disciple of Dao Xuzi, and her medicine powders and pills were something money couldn’t typically buy in the martial world. So, at that moment, seeing Yang Xiong using a whole bottle of medicine as if sprinkling flour, Wan Quan felt rather heartbroken, ”Just use a little less.”

”Use more; the wounds will heal faster, and you won’t suffer as much.” Yang Ruxin scoffed, ”I’m not charging you, so why be stingy yourself?”

”Well, it’s because your medicine is so rare,” Wan Quan chuckled, ”This bottle of antiseptic medicine once fetched five thousand taels.”
