The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2765: Chapter 2765: The Truth of That Year (17)

Qi Jinghao suddenly laughed, ”Consort Shu, actually all these years you’ve always given me an illusion.”

”What?” Consort Shu felt tense.

”Your kindness to me has been excessive.” Qi Jinghao chuckled twice, ”It feels more like you are my mother.”

Consort Shu’s hand stiffened for a moment, then she awkwardly pulled at the corner of her mouth, wanting to deny it, but unable to say ”no” aloud.

”Perhaps you really are my mother?” Qi Jinghao raised an eyebrow slightly, ”So back then, was there a mistake with the child exchanged between you and Hui Jianing?”

”I...”

”Speak.” Qi Jinghao stood up and walked to the bed, staring closely at Consort Shu.

”Prince, you can’t treat the madam like this, she...” Hong Yu stepped forward attempting to mediate with King Han.

”Get out yourself, don’t force me to act.” Qi Jinghao coldly shouted.

”Hong Yu, leave.” Consort Shu suddenly waved her hand.

Though Hong Yu was worried for Consort Shu, she could do nothing but exit and guard at the door.

Only then did Consort Shu retrieve the pouch from under the pillow, taking out the silver medal from inside: ”I actually have felt it for a long time, you should have inferred this secret, but I’ve never had the courage to face you. Now that you’ve made it clear, I have no reason to hide it from you, you truly are my son.” She said, handing over the silver medal, ”Your real name should be Qi Jingxian.”

”Why?”

”I entered the palace together with Hui Jianing, but she was luckier, she was favored by the Emperor early on.” Consort Shu sighed, ”You know, in the palace, if a woman doesn’t have the Emperor’s favor, what awaits her is death.”

Qi Jinghao remained silent.

”Hence, I had to strengthen ties with her, and I too eventually received the Emperor’s favor. Later she was titled consort, but at that time I was only a concubine.”

”Later on, perhaps heaven aided me, though she received more favor, it was with me she became pregnant, and at that time, the Emperor paid more attention to her.” Consort Shu smiled bitterly, ”That day, clearly it was me who bore you first, but the Emperor stayed by her side, and while she had difficulty in childbirth, amidst the chaos, I had Hong Yu switch the children...”

”Though such behavior is unprincipled, and I know you might blame me, I don’t regret it at all, for at that time, I couldn’t protect you at all. I’m a selfish mother; I want my son to live well...”

”I don’t blame you.” Qi Jinghao curled his lips.

”What?” Consort Shu was somewhat stunned.

”I said when I discovered this secret I indeed blamed you, but later I understood and stopped resenting you.” Qi Jinghao curled his lips, ”After all, you’ve done so much for me.”

”Really?” Tears of joy streamed down Consort Shu’s face, ”It’s good you don’t blame me, whatever you desire, as long as mother can do it, I will not refuse, even if it means dying for you...”

”You know, I want to ascend to that position. The Crown Prince is completely useless, Qi Jingyun is only a benevolent woman, only I am fit to be the ruler of this land.”

”I understand, so I help you, even if it means using witchcraft against your father.”

”But Yang Ruxin’s appearance has disrupted this plan, so you need to prepare.”

Consort Shu furrowed her brows but quickly nodded, ”I understand, rest assured, even if uncovered, it will not implicate you.”
