The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2247: Chapter 2247: Sect Leader (Part 1)

”Welcome, Master, welcome, Sect Leader.” As soon as several people set foot on the shore, they were met by over a dozen disciples in white robes, kneeling on one knee. At the forefront was the senior disciple Yong You, followed by Yong Qi and Yong Qing.

Dao Xuzi didn’t pay them any mind and casually strolled inside.

Yang Ruxin saw this and hurriedly gestured with her hand, ”You may rise.”

Everyone promptly stood up.

”Sect Leader, this way please,” Yong You made a gesture of invitation.

Yang Ruxin nodded slightly and walked inside.

After turning around a corner, the view suddenly opened up, revealing an abundance of exotic flowers and rare herbs. The air was filled with a faint, unidentified fragrance.

Passing through the flower fields, up ahead stood a stone archway with the words ”Cloud Sect” engraved on it. Beyond the archway was a complex of buildings.

As Yong You walked, he introduced the sect’s situation: ”We have over a hundred rooms and one hundred twenty disciples. Currently, twenty-four are at Yunmen Mountain, while the others are scattered across various branches nationwide, primarily gathering rare herbs or investigating various difficult diseases, then sending them back to the Sect for research and treatment methods...”

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but feel a sense of reverence. Why were Cloud Sect members called Divine Doctors? It’s not by working behind closed doors but through relentless practice and honing their skills in various real-world situations.

”Sect Leader, the temperature here is much higher than outside. Since you just arrived, take a bath and rest for a while. The master said the leadership transition ceremony would take place after lunch.”

”So soon?” Yang Ruxin frowned.

”The master said there’s no need for many formalities; the sooner it’s done, the better.” Yong You’s mouth twitched, ”And there’s still the return to the village.”

”Alright then.” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”I’m sorry for the trouble, Brother Yong You.”

After bathing and changing into light clothes, she felt refreshed.

The meals at Cloud Sect were simple, using self-sufficient ingredients. Although the cooking skills were basic, the natural ingredients resulted in good taste.

The leadership transition ceremony after the meal was probably the simplest Yang Ruxin had ever seen in any sect. Dao Xuzi handed all the tokens, seals, and keys needed by the Sect Leader to Yang Ruxin in one go, took her to the ancestral hall, where they bowed to the two elders Tianxuan and Diyang, then placed the Sect Leader’s ring on her finger, and with that, announced Yang Ruxin as the third generation Sect Leader of the Cloud Sect. And it was finished.

Yang Ruxin was dumbfounded by the informality. The ring was too big for her, so she had to hang it on a string around her neck.

Fortunately, Yong You was responsible enough to hurriedly introduce the disciples to her, provide a list with their names and locations, along with various medicinal collections that included all the ailments gathered by the Cloud Sect over the years and the corresponding remedies—these were precious indeed.

Dao Xuzi wanted Yang Ruxin to cook something, but she didn’t respond, saying she was tired. In truth, she was too weary of the old man’s unreliability to pay him any attention.

However, she quickly went with Yong Qing to tour the entire Cloud Sect.

The old man was left with no choice but to take Ming Guang to fish by the water, then grilled fish to satisfy his craving. Alas, no matter how he grilled it, it wasn’t as tasty as that girl’s cooking.
