The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2222: Chapter 2222: Old Kids (Part 4)

”What if I make a fool of myself? I’m doing it in my own home, what’s it to you?” Shu Xing finally got annoyed by Dao Xuzi, ”You old geezer, sticking around my grandson’s house every day, mooching food and drink, don’t you have any shame?”

Everyone was instantly dumbfounded, their old man was actually cursing like a rascal?

”Why should I be ashamed?” Dao Xuzi smugly smirked, picked up his cup, and drank, ”I’m Xinxin’s master, that makes me her family. I eat and drink here with a clear conscience. Let me tell you, if you don’t behave, I’ll have my Xinxin divorce your grandson.”

”You wouldn’t dare!” Shu Xing stood up, ready to roll up his sleeves.

”Wanna try me?” Dao Xuzi also stood up.

Everyone quickly got up to press the two old jokers back down.

”Then drink up.” Dao Xuzi taunted Shu Xing, ”Drink just one glass, and I won’t have Xinxin divorce your grandson.” He looked smugly at Shu Xing, shaking his leg in a show of defiance.

Shu Xing glanced at the wine glass in his hand and showed a helpless expression. It was indeed good wine, sweet and fragrant, but he couldn’t drink alcohol. One glass was fine, but more would cause his face to break out in a rash and itch, which is commonly known as an alcohol allergy.

”It’s alright, Grandpa.” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”This wine doesn’t have anything that will cause you allergies today, so you can drink as much as you want without worry.” Last time when Grandpa had an allergic reaction to drinking in the village, he still liked it. So she specially brewed some fruit wine using water and fruits from her special space.

Previously, she mixed external fruits like grapes to reduce the effect of the wine she brewed in her space, causing Shu Xing to have a reaction because of his alcohol allergy.

But now, with these, purely using fruits and well water from her space, they won’t just prevent Shu Xing from having an allergic reaction, but they’ll strengthen his body too.

”Really?” Shu Xing, a scholar and usually a meticulous old man with an innate sense of pride, used to intimidate even the Emperor and Princes during his time as the Imperial Teacher. But since reconnecting with his grandson and acknowledging his granddaughter-in-law, he’s become like a playful old child. Previously, he used to occasionally bicker with Dao Xuzi and Tang Wanqian in the village. Now his face lit up with joy as he looked at Yang Ruxin, appearing particularly adorable.

Yang Ruxin nodded, ”How could Xinxin possibly lie to Grandpa?”

”Oh, Grandpa, if you don’t drink, I’ll try it for you first.” Shu Luo said, reaching for the wine pot.

With a smack.

Shu Xing slapped his little grandson’s hand away, then held the wine pot close to his chest, ”You unfilial child, trying to snatch an old man’s wine?”

Shu Luo: ... That’s a bit of an overstatement.

”See, Xinxin is still the best, unlike some shameless old guy with a black heart.” Shu Xing shot a triumphant glance at Dao Xuzi, then downed his cup of wine in one go, smacking his lips, ”Delicious!” He quickly poured another glass, raised it to Dao Xuzi, ”Come on, let’s drink till we’re drunk today.”

”You said it, whoever passes out first has to fetch the other’s face-washing water and wait on them to wash up tomorrow, how about it?”

”No problem, bring it on.”

Watching the two old kids fussing, everyone found it both exasperating and amusing, yet it vividly enlivened the atmosphere.
