The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2038: Chapter 2038: I Want to Marry Her

”What’s wrong with them being together?” Yang Ruxin slightly raised an eyebrow.

”They...” Chun Hua was stumped by the question, unable to think of any reason why it would be bad.

”Since there’s nothing wrong, why can’t they be together? They’re not interfering with anyone else’s life or disturbing social stability, so why should I oppose it?” Yang Ruxin chuckled, ”Helping others achieve happiness is a virtuous act.” Then she turned and started to walk back.

Chun Hua frowned slightly and smacked her lips, the madam seemed to have a point, and she hurried to catch up, ”But there’s a sixteen-year age gap between them, is that okay?”

”In matters of the heart, age isn’t a problem, and height is not a distance.” Yang Ruxin reached out and pinched Chun Hua’s face, ”The key is that they like each other, so it all depends on their fate...”

Chun Hua nodded, ”True.”

When Yang Ruxin returned home, Gu Qingheng had also just come back. Originally, he planned to go for a stroll in the village together, but Gu Qiao suddenly received a message, so he went out.

As for what it was, Yang Ruxin didn’t ask because if he wanted to tell her, he naturally would; and if it wasn’t convenient to share, asking might make things difficult for him.

But clearly, Gu Qingheng didn’t plan on hiding it from her, as he explained it that night.

It was news from the Shu Family. Her grandfather, Shu Xing, would soon come to Lianhua Town and had sent someone to deliver the message. That was why he went to meet the messenger.

”Grandfather is coming?” Yang Ruxin was a bit surprised, ”Well...” She had been married for a year, yet she hadn’t visited the elderly gentleman yet.

”Don’t be nervous,” Gu Qingheng smiled, ”Grandfather is mainly coming for the matter of Death Valley.”

”Alright, I’m not nervous. Besides, even if he doesn’t like me, it’s too late now...”

”How could he not like you?” Gu Qingheng laughed, ”Second Uncle really likes you, and the restaurant he runs is thriving, making everyone envious...”

”I was just saying, and you took it seriously?” Yang Ruxin slightly raised an eyebrow.

Gu Qingheng laughed and pulled her into his embrace.

Over the next couple of days, Yang Ruxin visited friendly families in the village and listened to reports from the butler and Qian Er, along with other small managers.

”Once you’re done reporting, go back to your tasks,” Yang Ruxin looked at the dawdling Qian Er, her brow furrowed.

”Uh, Ruxin...” Qian Er’s face was flushed with embarrassment, ”I have something I want to ask you...”

”Speak.” Yang Ruxin was surprised.

”I...” Qian Er took a deep breath and suddenly knelt down, ”I like Chun Gui, and I want to ask for her hand in marriage.”

Ever since Qian Er arrived, Chun Gui had felt nervous. Seeing others come out while Qian Er was still lingering around made her even more anxious. However, she was too shy to enter, so she paced near the door, and then heard Qian Er’s words inside, instantly freezing in place. After standing for a while, she suddenly turned and ran outside.

It took Yang Ruxin a long moment to react, ”What did you say?”

”I like Chun Gui, and I want to marry her.” Qian Er, having said it out loud, no longer felt nervous.

”But she...”

”I know she’s a widow, and that she was even...” Qian Er chuckled, ”But so what? I don’t mind her past, I just want to spend the rest of our days together...”
