The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1872: Chapter 1872: Things That Shouldn’t Be Seen (6)

”About two or three years ago, a nun came with two younger sisters and two female disciples, claiming to be the direct granddaughter of the female Divine Doctor Yi Shuo, with the dharma name Nianyi Shitai. She funded the renovation of Xiangshui Nunnery and then stayed there. Later, it was rumored that Shitai could create talismans, and talisman water can cure all diseases...”

”Who is Yi Shuo?” Yu Qingge couldn’t help but ask.

”A female Divine Doctor from the Han Dynasty, granted the title of National Female Physician by Emperor Wu of Han, known as the ’Bian Que among women,’” Yang Ruxin briefly explained.

”Come on, from Emperor Wu of Han’s time? How many years has it been until now? How could that person dare to claim to be a direct granddaughter?” Yu Qingge couldn’t help but sneer.

”That’s right, everyone speculated like that,” Mrs. Huang nodded. ”But just in the second month after Xiangshui Nunnery reopened, Nianyi Shitai encountered a passerby who suddenly fell ill at the foot of the mountain. He was already foaming at the mouth when she used a bowl of talisman water, and he quickly regained consciousness...”

”Following the usual script, that person would definitely go around praising Shitai’s superb medical skills at Xiangshui Nunnery, and from then on, the nunnery became famous...” Yu Qingge directly played the scriptwriter.

Mrs. Huang nodded: ”Madam Fang is right. Afterward, there were constantly people coming for medical treatment, but Xiangshui Nunnery set a rule, only ten bowls of talisman water per day, not a single bowl more. The highest bidder gets it. So, each day, people flock at dawn, but during other times, there aren’t many people in the entire nunnery...”

”That’s all quite normal, so what’s your dislike for them got to do with it?” Yang Ruxin glanced at Mrs. Huang.

”We’re close by, so sometimes we discovered that there are men staying overnight at the nunnery...”

”Isn’t it normal for someone to stay overnight at a nunnery?”

”What we’re going to talk about next,” Mrs. Huang sneered, ”There used to be a foolish girl in the village called Dafen. She often wandered around, and last time she went to the backyard of Xiangshui Nunnery and saw things she shouldn’t have...”

”Things she shouldn’t have seen?”

”Dafen might be a bit simple, but she’s not stupid, just slow to react. Later, she hurried back in secret...” Mrs. Huang shook her head. ”That girl had a good relationship with Shi Tou’s mother, so she came to tell her that she saw a naked man and a naked nun embracing...”

”But the next day, when Dafen went out, she never returned. Her body was later found in the river...” Shi Tou’s mother’s face turned somewhat gloomy. ”At the time, there were strangers nearby asking about Dafen’s family and such. Dafen was an orphan, with no parents. The villagers chipped in to buy her a coffin and buried her...”

”Madam, this matter has been weighing on our family, such a burden, but my husband said even if it crushes us, we mustn’t bring it up. But you’re the mistress, it’s my duty to alert you...” Mrs. Huang sighed again.

”Isn’t this a mess?” Wei Yao couldn’t help but exclaim, ”Dafen was probably killed by them, right? Aren’t you people of the Empress Dowager? How dare they?”

”Do you have evidence that they killed someone?” Yu Qingge glanced at Wei Yao, ”Matters like this require evidence.”

Wei Yao fell silent.

Yang Ruxin nodded: ”It’s okay, let them be messy, we’re not here to catch them in the act. We’re just going to offer some incense, not much to fuss about.”

”Indeed, we’re here for an outing...”

As they spoke, they arrived at the entrance of Xiangshui Nunnery.
