The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1868: Chapter 1868: Hot Spring (Part 2)

Yang Ruxin and her group had already arrived at Songquan Villa, a sprawling estate of over five hundred acres. Given its proximity to the prime real estate around Beijing, it was considered quite large, especially with two hot springs located on the property.

Although the Empress Dowager rarely visited, the buildings were exceptionally well-constructed. The main courtyard was a stunning three-entry complex with exquisitely carved beams and painted pillars, requiring no renovation.

One of the hot springs was enclosed within the courtyard, surrounded by three marble pools with varying temperatures, making it convenient for the owner to enjoy a soak.

The second spring was not far from the main courtyard, topped with a spacious hall, and the spring’s water was channeled outside into two separate rooms, allowing villagers to bathe without mingling the genders.

Yang Ruxin’s only task now was to determine where to construct a greenhouse and figure out how to channel the hot spring water to maintain the greenhouse’s temperature, enabling vegetable growth even in winter.

Those fifty households were not originally residents of the village; they were all from slave backgrounds.

The estate manager, Pang Bo, had been purchased years ago and now had grandchildren. He had been on the estate for twenty years and managed it for ten.

After the estate changed owners, he received the news and informed the other residents, but the new owner had been slow to arrive, leaving them anxious.

They finally met the new owner, who seemed kind and assured them that their lives wouldn’t change, allowing them to breathe a sigh of relief.

”This estate will remain as it is for now, but there are some areas that need development.” Yang Ruxin brought Gu Di and Du Yunpeng along to meet everyone, as it’s impractical for her to always travel back and forth.

”Madam, feel free to instruct us. We have been here for years and are very reliable, so rest assured we’ll handle things well for you,” Pang Bo said sincerely with a smile.

”Yes, if you do well, I won’t treat you poorly.” Yang Ruxin nodded and distributed a silver tael to each household as a small gesture of goodwill.

”Thank you, madam,” Pang Bo grinned widely and earnestly started introducing the estate’s various aspects, including details about all the personnel. He finally suggested, ”Madam, although the weather is hot, soaking in a hot spring is still quite pleasant. The smaller spring has a high temperature and was only used when the Empress Dowager visited, otherwise, it’s cleaned and maintained meticulously...”

”Certainly, I want to soak,” Yang Ruxin nodded. Since affairs at Xiangshui Nunnery wouldn’t demand attention for another two hours, enjoying a hot spring bath first seemed like a good idea.

”We’ll be outside waiting; if you need anything, just call out,” Pang Bo said before stepping aside.

”It’s unfortunate we don’t have swimsuits,” Yu Qingge glanced at the three large pools, unable to resist complaining.

”You could swim naked,” Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow slightly.

Wei Yao’s face twisted in a bit of conflict, as Yang Ruxin didn’t lower her voice, making her words clearly audible. Despite spending days together and often hearing these two speak candidly, Wei Yao was still unaccustomed to it.

”Think I wouldn’t dare?” Yu Qingge boasted with an eyebrow raise, ”I’m just afraid my stunning figure will make you all feel inadequate.” Saying this, she began undressing and even gave her hips a little shimmy.

Wei Yao watched, her face flushing.
