The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1744: Chapter 1744: Little Beggar (4)

”Alright.” Du Yunpeng nodded quickly, as he was used to doing these things.

”I’ve already become familiar with Beijing, so I can take him around.” Mark volunteered.

Yang Ruxin nodded: ”That would be best.”

At this time, three little beggars were holding tattered bowls, jostling through the crowd, always pushing where the crowd was thickest, causing passersby to curse, as they smelled quite unpleasant.

Of course, there were also soft-hearted people who would throw a copper coin into their bowls, and mean-spirited ones who would kick them a couple of times...

Yang Ruxin watched with interest as the three little ones weaved through the crowd, then watched them run towards her, slipping past her... and then followed them into a nearby alleyway.

The three little ones were dividing their loot.

Just now, their weaving through the crowd wasn’t for begging, but a ploy to pickpocket.

At present, they held four coin purses, one of which was a pouch from Yang Ruxin herself.

”There are Gold Leaves in here, Xiaoba can be saved this time...” The shortest of the little beggars excitedly looked at the Gold Leaves poured from Yang Ruxin’s pouch.

”Let’s go, hurry back.” The leader, also excited, stuffed the pouch into his clothes, but was stunned as soon as he turned around, quickly reacting and shouted ”Run!” before attempting to escape.

However, someone blocked the way behind them as well.

The three little ones pressed back-to-back, nervously eyeing the people who blocked their path.

”Stealing is punishable by jail.” Yang Ruxin stepped forward two steps.

The leader beggar reached out, protecting the other two little beggars behind him: ”One person does, one person takes responsibility; I stole the pouch, I’ll go to jail, I beg you to let them go...”

Yang Ruxin smiled: ”So you know one person does, one person takes responsibility? But how come you don’t know that stealing is disgraceful?”

The little beggar bit his lip, saying nothing.

”Take them away.” Yang Ruxin motioned slightly.

Mark and Du Yunpeng immediately stepped forward and grabbed the little beggar.

”Let go of me.” The little beggar stubbornly struggled.

”Please, let brother go.” The shortest little beggar suddenly knelt, ”We stole the Silver to get Xiaoba treated, please...”

”I’ll go to jail.” Another stepped forward, ”Please let big brother go.”

Yang Ruxin’s eyes flickered slightly: ”Who is Xiaoba?”

”Xiaoba is Xiaoba, she’s been feverish, close to death...” The youngest beggar wiped away tears, ”Please, kind lady, let us go, we won’t steal Silver again...”

Yang Ruxin looked at the big brother.

However, the boy stubbornly turned his head away, as he couldn’t promise not to steal again, because if they begged and got nothing to eat, they would starve, and he didn’t want any more siblings to starve to death.

”What if I can cure Xiaoba?” Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow slightly.

The big brother immediately widened his eyes at Yang Ruxin: ”Really?”

The other two’s eyes also lit up.

”We could try.” Yang Ruxin shrugged, ”I believe that if even I can’t cure her, then no amount of stealing Silver will get her cured... But if I do cure her, how will you thank me? My consultation fee is very expensive.”

The other two little ones simultaneously turned their gaze back to their big brother’s face.
