The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1436: Chapter 1436: Lady Hong Ju (4)

”When does the Oiran competition start?” Yu Qingge was very curious.

”June, at least it was held in June the year before last.”

”Then let’s go to the biggest flower boat tonight, we might be able to catch a glimpse of this year’s Oiran.” Yu Qingge got excited upon hearing this, rubbing his hands vigorously, ”What do you say? Bro?”

Yang Ruxin nodded; for her, it was just for fun, and it didn’t matter which boat they went to.

”Ha ha, the pretty boy is here...” Yu Qingge immediately showed a dandy’s demeanor, drooling as he walked toward the flower boat.

Xuxu shook her head watching him, really wishing to go back; how was this her young miss? Clearly, it was just a lecherous rascal.

Indeed, the Oiran competition was held in June, and it was already the end of May now, so all the brothels had already started preparing, and they were also using every means to attract guests. After all, the election of the Oiran relied on the patrons. At that time, there would be flower sellers at the event, with each flower costing one Silver, and whoever received the most flowers would be the Oiran. Thus, having wealthy patrons was of utmost importance.

The flower boat was decorated luxuriously, with three levels, and the higher you went, the more expensive it was.

Yu Qingge wanted to find the previous Oiran as soon as he got on board.

Since they arrived early when the sky was not fully dark yet, there weren’t many guests at this moment.

The leading madam here, though past fifty, still had her charm and was known as Fragrant Mother, absolutely smooth in dealing with people, and it was said that she had quite a strong backing.

Seeing guests board the boat, she immediately approached with a smile: ”Two young masters, unfamiliar faces indeed, are you here to drink wine, listen to songs, or...”

Yang Ruxin handed over a Gold Ingot: ”Both drinking wine and listening to songs, and naturally, we can stay overnight if we find it agreeable.”

”Wow, then please come inside quickly, I will have the girls come over to serve...” On seeing this, Fragrant Mother immediately showed a smile, ”Hehua, Xinghua, Pear Blossom...”

”Enough, we wish to listen to Lady Hong Ju play her zither,” Yang Ruxin raised her hand to interrupt the shouting.

”This...”

Yang Ruxin passed another Gold Ingot: ”Is it still a problem?”

”Oh no, not at all.” Fragrant Mother’s smile brightened even more, ”Please come upstairs quickly.” Saying this, she personally led the way upstairs.

There was only one lady on the third floor, and that was the last Oiran; this was the rule, whoever won the title of Oiran could exclusively occupy the top floor of the flower boat.

In Yang Ruxin’s view, Hong Ju’s appearance was not extraordinarily beautiful, but her figure was quite fine, with a chest higher even than that of Zhongxia. However, she won the crown originally for her exceptional zither skills that were said to resonate for three days straight.

”Hong Ju, take good care of the two little masters,” Fragrant Mother called out as she entered.

”Don’t worry mother,” Hong Ju greeted them with a smile.

”Then let’s begin with a piece,” Yu Qingge said generously, again placing two Gold Ingots on the table, ”We have come here inspired by great acclaim; if it’s really good, there will be a generous reward, and during the Oiran competition, this young master will come again...”

Hong Ju’s heart leaped for joy; those led upstairs by the madam wouldn’t tip less than a hundred taels. Now with an additional twenty Gold Ingots, it looked like those two young masters, handsome as if stepped out from a painting, were not short of cash. She then lowered her head in assent, ”Hong Ju shall perform humbly.” Then she even coughed once.

The room was very spacious, adorned with pink gauze curtains everywhere to create a romantic atmosphere. Just like now, Yang Ruxin and Yu Qingge were sitting here, while Hong Ju went behind the zither stand on the opposite side, with a layer of mist-like gauze curtain in between. When the wind blew, it was like a dream.
