The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1434: Chapter 1434: To Suzhou (2)

”Madam.” As soon as Zui Family left the room, she couldn’t help but speak up, ”You can’t just give up like this.”

”What else can I do?” Dong Yushi gave a bitter smile, ”They...”

”Madam,” Zui Family hurriedly reminded Dong Yushi, ”Originally, it was our fault, it’s only natural for them to be a little upset...”

Dong Yushi glanced at Zui Family.

”Madam, the key now is for you to win back the master’s heart, and didn’t Miss Yu previously say she could help you with your health so you could have children?” Zui Family had to speak frankly, ”As long as you give birth to a son, the master might no longer be willing to take a concubine...”

”But...”

”Madam, as long as you sincerely apologize to Miss Yu, as long as Miss Yu forgives you, the master will definitely not blame you.” Zui Family naturally hoped for the best for Dong Yushi since her own well-being depended on Madam’s, and she would not foolishly stir up trouble between them, as Madam was simply no match for them, and at that time she may end up in a miserable situation, in which case it was better to mend the relationship now, ”This old servant has been observing Miss Yu’s actions these days, and she’s not unreasonable. As elders, if you sincerely admit your mistakes, she won’t keep holding on to them, after all, you are family...”

”But...”

”Madam, what’s more valuable, face or a good life?” Zui Family sighed, ”You’re not unaware of what life is like for the main wives in households with concubines...”

Dong Yushi ultimately sighed, ”Mother-in-law, thank you, I know what to do now.”

Zui Family then breathed a sigh of relief; she was just worried that Madam wouldn’t see it clearly, and then she would be the guilty one.

Yang Ruxin began to sort out Dong Wenxiu’s dowry. Although she said to let Dong Wenming handle it, she still had to understand it herself.

After spending five days touring the shops and estates in Hangzhou City and its suburbs, Yang Ruxin summoned the managers of each estate and shop. After a soul-stirring conversation, she laid down the regulations and made clear the rewards and punishments, providing some business ideas as well. The managers previously worried that business might stagnate under a woman’s hand, but to their surprise, they were now even more enthusiastic.

”Mother, do you want to come with me to Suzhou to have a look?” Yang Ruxin felt it was not good for her mother only to stay at home, ”There is a mulberry garden that belongs to you there...”

”I’d rather not go.” Dong Wenxiu, however, shook her head, ”Xinxin, you take care of it, let’s hurry up and finish so we can go home...”

”Mother, that’s part of your dowry...”

”Then it’s yours now.” Dong Wenxiu waved her hand nonchalantly, ”It’s yours now.” Anyway, her daughter wouldn’t cut her off from provisions, she didn’t want to worry about it.

”Wenxiu auntie, you’re so carefree.” Yu Qingge gave a thumbs up.

”The key is that your auntie Wenxiu isn’t good at managing those things,” Dong Wenxiu said with an embarrassed laugh, ”so I can only trouble Xinxin...”

Yang Ruxin didn’t insist and went to Suzhou with Yu Qingge.

The mulberry garden spanned over two hundred acres, with more than twenty households of mulberry farmers tending to it, and after extracting silk, there were even matching brocade weaving and dyeing stores, and so on; in short, the products could be sent directly to the silk stores for sale after leaving here.
