The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 494: Chapter 494: Better Off Dead (6)_1

Yes, there was a full-blown fight. Yang Baifu originally felt somewhat guilty towards Yang Baichuan; after all, he really did hit him hard, and it was quite possible that his second brother would become a eunuch. He felt that not even his parents might forgive him for that.

But then Feng Family came up and scratched his face, which was something he couldn’t tolerate. Having a chunk taken out of his ear was already disfiguring, and if he were to be scarred further...

Yang Baifu depended on his looks to get by, after all. Widow Lu had said she especially loved looking at his face.

So, when Feng Family was relentless in her attempt to disfigure him, Yang Baifu exploded. Propping himself up, he leapt to his feet and slapped her across the face, ”Damn it, if that bastard Yang Baichuan dares to compete with me for a woman, he deserves to be crippled... and if you dare to lay a finger on me again, I’ll cripple you too...”

Feng Family was instantly frightened and hurriedly turned to run away.

”Aren’t you coming over to put some medicine on me?” Yang Baifu then collapsed back onto the bed and bellowed at Dong Family, ”You’re such a waste...”

Dong Family jumped with fright and quickly came over with the ointment to apply it to Yang Baifu’s scratched areas. Perhaps she applied too much pressure at one point, causing Yang Baifu to sharply inhale a cold breath and then he slapped Dong Family across the face: ”Useless.”

Dong Family was struck down to the floor, tears immediately falling.

”Who are you putting on that weepy face for?” Yang Baifu grew even more irritated and kicked Dong Family twice, ”My luck is truly ruined by your ill-omened presence... If you cry again, I’ll just beat you to death...”

Dong Family was so terrified that she quickly held back her tears.

”Why are you cowering? Hurry up and come back to reapply it.” Yang Baifu gasped for breath as he lay down on the bed again.

Dong Family, enduring pain all over her body, got up and came over to carefully apply ointment on all of Yang Baifu’s wounds again.

This time, she didn’t cause him any more pain.

Meanwhile in the next room, after a bout of madness, Feng Caie was simply left feeling sorrowful. She grieved not only her husband’s betrayal but also for his physical state. She had asked earlier, and Doctor Wang, although he was ambiguous, said that ”it” was not completely ruined and there was a chance of healing, but his medical skills were limited; it would be better to go to the county, prefectural city, or even Beijing to seek a more skilled doctor.

What did this mean? Doesn’t it signify that from now on, Yang Baichuan would be no better than a castrated eunuch?

On another note, it meant that she, Feng Caie, would be living as a widow from now on.

Before, she mocked Xun Hui for being a widow, thinking Xun Hui was truly unlucky—so young and already without a man. How would she endure the coming days? Just remarry quickly and leave, it would also save several men in the family who were eyeing her. Now, it turned out that at least Xun Hui, without a man, still had the hope of remarrying, but what about herself? With a husband and yet facing widowhood, unless they separated, how would she get through the coming days?

The more she thought about it, the more despondent Feng Caie became and she simply broke down into loud weeping.

”Stop crying.” Yang Peili was annoyed by the crying and slapped the door, ”Your man isn’t dead yet, is he?”

”Dad, it would be better if he was dead, given his condition...” Feng Caie replied from inside the room.

”You...” Yang Peili was so choked up that he couldn’t speak.

”You wicked woman...” Yang Baichuan had woken up by then and was furious upon hearing Feng Caie’s words. Raising his hand, he pointed at her, ”You...”

”What?” Feng Caie was no longer afraid of Yang Baichuan, ”You go out to cheat and get crippled by your own brother, and you still have the nerve to blame me?” she said, wiping away tears, ”I’ll tell you, Yang Baichuan, very clear, I won’t be serving you, no way. Whoever you cheated with can come take care of you.” With that, she pulled open the room door and left.
