The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 392: Chapter 392: Asking for a Beating (Second Update)_1

”What are you pulling me for?” Guan Tongshi struggled fiercely.

”It’s just a couple of words on the street, no big deal,” Guan Danian said, releasing his grip as he entered the door, ”Don’t be too strict, or the son will resent it...”

Guan Tongshi raised her eyebrows, but said nothing more. She didn’t enter the house either, just leaned against the yard door, listening to the noises outside.

Guan Danian didn’t say anything else, which was as good as an agreement.

”Yang Dani.” After her parents had left, Guan Qingshu took a few steps towards Yang Ruxin and glanced at Xiaofeng. He knew there was no way to get him to leave, but it didn’t matter since he was young, ”How could you have changed like this?”

Yang Ruxin frowned. What way was that?

”You used to be gentle and kind...”

Yang Ruxin chuckled twice. ”Gentle? Kind? Guan Qingshu, you mean to say I was foolish, right?”

Guan Qingshu frowned. ”Dani, can we not be like this? Let’s talk nicely. I’m saying this for your own good...”

Yang Ruxin nodded. ”Then speak.”

”I know you’re mad at me, but even if you’re mad, you can’t get so close to someone who’s both blind and lame, after all...”

”Get lost!” Yang Ruxin didn’t wait for Guan Qingshu to finish before she kicked him in the shin, ”Guan Qingshu, you’re just asking for a beating.”

”You...” Guan Qingshu grimaced in pain.

”I warned you last time, and now I’ll say it one last time. The Yang Dani who only had eyes for you, who always thought of you, is dead. Dead, get it? Gone for good.” Yang Ruxin glared icily at Guan Qingshu. ”The one standing before you now is Yang Ruxin, and Yang Ruxin doesn’t like Guan Qingshu, she even hates Guan Qingshu. I’m making myself clear, right?”

Guan Qingshu was incredulous.

”Also, don’t let me hear you calling Gu Qingheng a ’cripple’ or ’blind’ again. He may be crippled and blind, but his heart isn’t. He’s ten times, a hundred times stronger than a blind man like you.” Yang Ruxin sneered. ”And for a ’scholar’ like you to demean others like that, would your master approve?”

”You like him now?” Guan Qingshu felt a void suddenly emerge in some corner of his heart. He didn’t understand why—an individual he had despised so much before now seemed impossible to let go.

”Yes, Yang Ruxin likes Gu Qingheng.” Yang Ruxin enunciated each word. ”From now on, Yang Ruxin will treat Gu Qingheng well, will always care for and look after him, and as long as he doesn’t tire of it, she will continue to do so...” Having said that, she straightened up, turned around, and took Xiaofeng by the hand and left.

”Why?” Guan Qingshu asked, frowning.

Unfortunately, Yang Ruxin didn’t bother turning back, but she did raise her hand and flash her middle finger.

Guan Qingshu frowned and extended his middle finger too, not understanding its significance, and could only watch helplessly as Yang Ruxin walked away, eventually getting up, crestfallen.

However, after just a couple of steps, a rock came flying from somewhere, hitting him right behind the knee, and as a result, the illustrious scholar Guan faced a humiliating face-plant.

In the shadows, Gu Yao smirked with satisfaction. To think he’d dare covet his sister-in-law. Tripping him was getting off light. Work him up and he might not even make it to the examination hall, hmph!

Why was Gu Yao here, you ask? Because Gu Qingheng had expressed concerns—several individuals from the Yang Family’s main house had malicious intents, and fearing for the siblings, he had Gu Yao follow them into the village. And sure enough, they’d encountered someone asking for trouble.
