The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 390: Chapter 390: Why Hit Her (Four Updates More)_1

”You...” Guan Qingyue was stunned by the slap.

Yang Ruxin couldn’t even be bothered to glance at her, always believing that if you can use your hands, there’s no need to waste words on someone with a brain defect.

Just at that moment, the voice of Guan Tongshi came from the courtyard, ”Qingyue, you dead girl, taking half a day to pick a vegetable? What are you dawdling for?”

When Guan Qingyue heard her mother’s voice, she suddenly burst into tears, ”Mother, Yang Dani hit me...”

Xiaofeng glanced up at Yang Ruxin.

Yang Ruxin looked down and gave him a smile.

The little guy felt reassured, happily bouncing along behind his big sister.

But Guan Qingyue’s cry not only startled Guan Tongshi in the courtyard, it also gave Guan Danian and Guan Qingshu, who was reading a book, quite the fright.

It was the Mid-Autumn Festival today, and the academy had given a day off. He hadn’t wanted to come back, but he also didn’t want to go to his uncle’s house. He knew both families wanted to tighten their bonds, but as for that cousin of his, he just couldn’t bring himself to like her, so he chose to return home instead.

In fact, after returning, he had considered going over to see Yang Ruxin, but thinking of the girl’s fierce temperament, he didn’t dare make a move. Yet he hadn’t expected her to come here, so without a second thought, he rushed out, automatically filtering out the content of his sister’s cries.

”Yang Dani!” Guan Qingshu came outside and was surprised to see Yang Ruxin’s retreating figure, he shouted loudly.

Yang Ruxin turned around, appraising Guan Qingshu. He seemed thinner than the last time she saw him in town, but it must be said, he did appear more scholarly. However... compared to her Gu Qingheng, both looks and temperament fell far short. She then beamed with a brilliant smile, ”Aiya, Scholar Gu, what’s the matter?”

She didn’t even realize she had already claimed Gu Qingheng as her personal possession.

”You...” Guan Qingshu felt a belly full of words he wanted to say to her, but when he actually met her eyes, he was at a loss for words.

”Yang Dani, you curse, look what you did to my Qingyue,” Guan Tongshi rushed out, holding a wooden basin in her hand—she had obviously been washing something—”How could you be so cruel?”

Guan Danian also came out, looking unpleasantly at Yang Ruxin.

”Auntie, there’s always a cause for every effect,” Yang Ruxin was not afraid, instead, she smiled faintly, ”Didn’t you ask your precious daughter why I hit her?”

”You whore...” Guan Qingyue, feeling emboldened by her family’s presence, became arrogant again and started jumping up and down, shouting.

Yang Ruxin smiled and spread her hands toward the Guan family, ”Uncle, Auntie, now you know why she got beaten, don’t you? It’s just a family squabble here. If this were outside, I’m afraid a slap wouldn’t be enough to settle it, would it? Moreover, the esteemed Scholar Gu is aiming for the civil examinations to become an official. If his sister goes around calling people whores, and on top of that, stops people on the street demanding they buy things for her, such behavior...” pausing for a moment, she shook her head with a smile, ”Tsk tsk...”

Guan Qingshu frowned and only then noticed the palm print on his sister’s face, feeling an indescribable sensation in his heart.

”What buying things? Don’t spout nonsense,” Guan Tongshi waved her hand dismissively, ”Didn’t we settle things last time? We told you not to bother my Qingshu, but here you are again. Isn’t that the conduct of a whore?”

”Heh.” Yang Ruxin laughed, ”May I ask, with which eye did you see me heading to your house?”
