Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Gathering Heavenly Sweet Fruits Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Gathering Heavenly Sweet Fruits As Su Yuan finished, the next round of competition for the slots had already begun.

Only two slots were left, but there were still over a dozen people, making the competition intense.

After a fierce contest, the final two slots went to Xu Xin from Qingye City and another boy named Liu Dong from Yanyun City.

Ji Qinghe announced, “The slots for the Divine Tree Secret Realm have been decided.

Zhuang Xun, Su Yuan, Xu Xin, and Liu Dong, come with me.

The rest of you may leave on your own.

Director Yan, please see them off.”

Yan Chenfei smiled and agreed, beginning to see off the other big shots.

Only Wang Haiping and another big shot from Yanyun City named Ge Qiu remained in the venue.

Wang Haiping advised Su Yuan, “Go with Elder Ji.

I’ll wait here for you.

Remember, don’t hesitate to collect the Heavenly Sweet Fruit once you’re in the secret realm.

Everyone relies on their own abilities, and with your Wind Walking, you should reap a good harvest.”

“We don’t know what the exact situation inside is?”

Wang Haiping said, “Elder Ji will explain in a moment.”

Su Yuan nodded.

“Follow me, little ones,” Ji Qinghe called, leading the way to the other side of the venue.

Su Yuan, Zhuang Xun, and the others hurriedly followed behind.

Just out of the venue, they entered another small room.

Ji Qinghe took out a talisman and activated it.

Starlight streaked from the talisman, intertwining and entangling, revealing a secret realm portal.

“Enter.”

Ji Qinghe stepped into the portal first, disappearing.

Su Yuan and the others followed suit.

In a blink of an eye, they found themselves in a clear forest.

Ancient trees stood tall, and the air was fresh.

In sight were Mink Tail Flowers, Moon Silver Grass, and many other First and Second Stage spirit plants.

“It’s not just the Heavenly Sweet Tree.

There are also some harmless plant-type Star Beasts and a large number of low-stage spirit plants,” Ji Qinghe introduced as he led the way.

Not long along the path, they arrived at an open clearing.

Standing before them was a beautiful ancient tree with many branches full of numerous light blue flowers.

“This is the Heavenly Sweet Tree.

Come closer,” Ji Qinghe led Su Yuan and the others forward.

As they approached, the branches of the Heavenly Sweet Tree suddenly shook violently, with branches dancing wildly, looking quite frightening.

The four of them were startled and instinctively stopped, ready to retreat if not for Ji Qinghe beside them.

After all, this was a Gold Level Master Star Beast!

“Heavenly Sweet, stop scaring them.” Ji Qinghe smiled, walked forward, and stroked the Heavenly Sweet Tree for a while.

“I’ve brought the people.

It’s up to you next, just like before.”

The Heavenly Sweet Tree obediently stopped its wild movements, with its trunk slowly nodding forward as if it “nodded.”

Su Yuan carefully observed the Heavenly Sweet Tree.

This was the first Master Grade Star Beast he had ever seen!

Normally, Bronze, Silver, and Gold, the lower three levels of Star Beasts, have relatively low intelligence, especially plant-type Star Beasts.

But this Heavenly Sweet Tree seemed capable of communication, indeed different, worthy of being a Master Grade.

Ji Qinghe turned to the four of them and said, “In a moment, the Heavenly Sweet Tree will start shedding flowers.

During this process, all the Heavenly Sweet Flowers will fly into the sky and transform into Heavenly Sweet Fruits falling around.

Remember, the Heavenly Sweet Fruits will convert to natural energy and disappear once they hit the ground.

So, you must catch them with your palms as much as possible.

Only palms work; you can use both hands; otherwise, the energy will mostly dissipate.

The Heavenly Sweet Fruits have a very gentle effect.

Once caught with your palms, the Star Power essence will flow from your hand into the Star Power Vortex in your body.

Do you understand?”

The four nodded excitedly, “Understood!”

Ji Qinghe looked at the eager four and added after a brief hesitation, “One more reminder, the Heavenly Sweet Fruits are special.

They’re physically fragile but have high Star Power resistance and abnormal resistance.

Don’t think about using other energies to interfere with or alter their falling trajectory.”

“Oh, come on!” Liu Dong from Yanyun City was immediately disheartened, “I was planning to use water waves to sweep the fruits over.

Is that not allowed?”

Ji Qinghe interrupted his illusion directly, “No, unless your Star Power is more than three times stronger than the Heavenly Sweet Tree.”

“Alright, start preparing.

Collecting the Heavenly Sweet Fruits depends on your ability.

But based on previous experience, if you spread out in four directions around the Heavenly Sweet Tree, each of you should have plenty.”

After reminding them, Ji Qinghe stepped aside, and Su Yuan and the others spread out around the Heavenly Sweet Tree.

Zhuang Xun went west, Xu Xin went north, Su Yuan went east, and Liu Dong went south.

After preparing, the Heavenly Sweet Tree shook slightly, and then the numerous Heavenly Sweet Flowers on it began to glow one by one, detaching from the branches and gradually flying into the sky.

In a moment, the sky above was filled with a vast number of blue Heavenly Sweet Flowers, very beautiful!

These Heavenly Sweet Flowers gathered, suddenly bursting into dazzling blue light and strong energy fluctuations, merging into a large patch of blue clouds.

The blue clouds churned, spreading a peculiar fragrance.

Then, Heavenly Sweet Fruits, like transparent blue hailstones, shot down from the clouds!

“Here it comes!”

Su Yuan and the others braced themselves!

Seeing the nearest Heavenly Sweet Fruit, Su Yuan pointed with his left hand, and Elemental Magnetism Pressure instantly enveloped the fruit, trying to slow its descent.

However, the Heavenly Sweet Fruit seemed unaffected, maintaining its state and descending steadily.

Indeed, it was futile.

Su Yuan understood.

Wind Walking under his feet, he rushed forward at great speed and caught it with his hand.

The fruit felt warm to the touch.

Before Su Yuan could examine it closely, it melted into a blue essence, absorbed into his palm, and flowed along his arm into the Star Power Vortex in his chest, converting into his own Star Power with a single spin.

So pure, it didn’t need refining at all!

Su Yuan was both surprised and delighted.

Although the increase in Star Power was limited, it was just one Heavenly Sweet Fruit, and large quantities of them were falling from the blue clouds, faster and more densely!

Su Yuan immediately targeted another Heavenly Sweet Fruit.

Not only Su Yuan, but the others also used various methods, striving with all their might to grab more Heavenly Sweet Fruits.

Xu Xin activated the Qi Blood Secret Technique, his blood energy surging all over, greatly enhancing his body and increasing his speed.

Liu Dong summoned a stream of water.

Although he couldn’t move the fruits, he moved agilely like a fish within the water.

Zhuang Xun had no speed-boosting skills, but he took out a talisman.

Upon activation, his entire body became as light as a swallow, his speed abruptly increased, and he could even leap several meters high at a time!

Green Skill, Flying Horse Stepping on Swallow!

“Wind Walking, Qi Blood Burst, Water Flow Form, Flying Horse Stepping on Swallow, these little guys should all reap quite a harvest this year…”

Ji Qinghe nodded approvingly from afar.

The Heavenly Sweet Fruits fell quickly, and previous students could only catch half of the fruits around them.

But this year’s four students were remarkably exceptional.

Each caught at least seventy percent of the fruits falling around them.

Ji Qinghe’s gaze fell on the stormy Su Yuan, his expression somewhat strange, “But this kid is really something else…”

With Wind Walking and C-level Agility at full effort, Su Yuan’s speed reached its peak, even comparable to most Bronze Star Card Masters.

Not a single fruit around Su Yuan fell to the ground!

“Perfect Wind Walking and Great Success of Primordial Magnetic Pressure, Guangchuan City has produced such a genius… huh?!”

Ji Qinghe was amazed but suddenly widened his eyes in strong shock!

Su Yuan, originally using Wind Walking to move quickly and collect the fruits, was no longer content with the fruits in his area.

He activated Elemental Magnetism Pressure to neutralize his gravity and flew up, expanding his search range!

“What, he flew up?”

Ji Qinghe watched Su Yuan leaping and darting in the air, speedily collecting Heavenly Sweet Fruits.

Though his “flying” was stiff, it was far more efficient than his previous collection!

“I get it!

It’s Elemental Magnetism Pressure, Perfect Elemental Magnetism Pressure!”

Ji Qinghe quickly understood but was even more shocked.

An Eighth Stage Star Apprentice mastering Elemental Magnetism Pressure to the point of floating in the air and using Perfect Wind Walking to move freely in the air?

What a joke!

Yet, reality was before him.

Ji Qinghe watched Su Yuan in bewilderment, stunned for a moment.

“Strange, why are there so few fruits falling on the right?” Liu Dong, to the south of the Heavenly Sweet Tree, wondered.

Was the Heavenly Sweet Fruit drop slowing as it was ending?

Liu Dong caught another Heavenly Sweet Fruit and looked up towards the eastern sky.

He was startled to see a figure darting in the air, rapidly collecting fruits.

The fruits seemed not enough for him, even affecting Liu Dong’s side, with almost no fruits falling to the right.

“Su Yuan?!

What the hell, how is he flying!”

Liu Dong’s face changed drastically, and as he was stunned, several fruits fell to the ground and vanished.

ɴօνǤօ.сο

“Damn it!”

Liu Dong, startled, suppressed his shock, refocused, and continued catching fruits on his side.

But with Su Yuan encroaching on his right area, fewer fruits fell.

Liu Dong could only move closer to Zhuang Xun.

Zhuang Xun noticed Liu Dong and Xu Xin approaching, several fruits he aimed for taken by them.

“Xu Xin, Liu Dong, what are you doing here?

This is my area!”

After Xu Xin intercepted another fruit, Zhuang Xun shouted angrily.

Liu Dong forced a smile, didn’t explain, and continued catching fruits.

Xu Xin replied without looking up, “Look up, and you’ll understand.”

Look up?

Confused, Zhuang Xun glanced up and saw Su Yuan darting in the air.

Most of Liu Dong’s and Xu Xin’s areas were taken by Su Yuan, leaving few fruits falling.

They were helpless; only Su Yuan could fly.

They couldn’t outfight him, and Ji Qinghe didn’t intervene.

They reluctantly moved closer to Zhuang Xun.

“This guy…” Zhuang Xun was stunned, “Does he have to be such a freak?”
