Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: First Battle with Star Beast Chapter 6: Chapter 6: First Battle with Star Beast Two hours later, Su Yuan arrived at the Great Barbarian Mountain Area in the eastern suburbs of Guangchuan City.

At this moment, the black backpack on Su Yuan’s back was fully stuffed.

Inside, it contained a large amount of compressed food and water, and some basic medicines, enough for Su Yuan to last for more than ten days.

“The Great Barbarian Mountain Area, this is my first time coming here…”

Surveying the dense vegetation and faintly dangerous aura ahead, Su Yuan tightened his grip on the long bag in his hand.

The Great Barbarian Mountain Area bordered the third-level cities of Guangchuan City and Liao Ping City, as well as the second-stage city of Qingye City, and was a “low-stage dangerous zone.”

There were more than two hundred different types of Star Beasts in the Great Barbarian Mountain Area.

The highest level one could reach was the Silver Stage, making it the only dangerous area around Guangchuan City.

A dangerous zone referred to areas where Star Beasts roamed or where there were anomalies in Star Power.

There were many such dangerous zones in the Great Flame Country.

If the Great Flame Country wanted to flatten all the dangerous zones within its borders, it would certainly come at a high cost, but it could absolutely be done.

However, the Great Flame Country had not done so.

The reason was simple.

While the existence of dangerous zones posed a threat to nearby cities, they also provided important renewable resources.

Just the Star Beasts in these zones alone, whether it was their Star Cores or some of their materials, were indispensable treasures for Star Card Masters and various industries.

Not to mention, dangerous zones often gave rise to various heavenly materials and earthly treasures.

Considering many aspects, the Great Flame Country had cleared some densely distributed, hard-to-control dangerous zones, while the remaining dangerous zones were kept and monitored by the local City Guard.

The Great Barbarian Mountain Area in front of him was a common adventure spot for Star Card Masters from Guangchuan City.

The outer areas were less dangerous, so students from various middle schools in Guangchuan City often came here for training.

This included Su Yuan’s Guangchuan Fourth Middle School.

As far as Su Yuan knew, some of his classmates would sometimes form teams to come to the Great Barbarian Mountain Area.

Slowly opening the long cloth bag, Su Yuan revealed a cold, long saber inside—an E-3 alloy standard longsword.

For Star Card Masters, especially low-stage Star Card Masters, a handy weapon was equally important.

Low-level attack skills like the Ice Cone Technique and Small Fireball might not cause as much damage as using a sword or saber directly.

All students in the Spiritual Disciple Class had to choose a martial art, be it saber, spear, staff, or boxing, but they had to focus on one for training.

This was also one of the subjects for Star Apprentice Class students’ college entrance exams.

Su Yuan had chosen the longsword.

This weapon was flexible, fast, and very sharp.

The E-3 alloy standard longsword in his hand was bought at a discounted price for educational purposes.

The original price was over twenty thousand yuan.

After folding the cloth bag and putting it back in his backpack, Su Yuan gripped the longsword, took a deep breath, and resolutely stepped into the Great Barbarian Mountain Area…

After quickly traveling a few kilometers, he officially entered the outer part of the Great Barbarian Mountain Area and soon encountered Star Beasts.

Under a tree ahead were two yellow-haired large dogs about 1.3 to 1.4 meters long.

These two yellow-haired large dogs had a mouth full of terrifying sharp teeth.

Unlike ordinary dogs, both dogs had particularly large ears.

“Big-eared Steel-toothed Dogs, huh?”

Information about these two Star Beasts flashed through Su Yuan’s mind:

[Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog]

[Grade: Ordinary]

[Species: Dog]

[Element: None]

[Talent: Auditory Enhancement: Possesses enhanced hearing, can accurately locate sounds, and can even avoid some sneak attacks through sound]

[Six Dimensions: Strength E, Agility E, Defense F, Constitution F, Spirit F, Star Power F]

[Skill: Steel Teeth Bite (Ordinary)]

“In previous Star Beast classes, the Star Beasts I saw were all raised in breeding bases.

This is the first time I’ve faced a real Star Beast in the wild.”

“Judging from the Star Power fluctuations, they’re about Seventh Stage.

Unfortunately, they’re just ordinary Big-eared Steel-toothed Dogs.

I can’t use Steel Teeth Bite, but I can test the card decomposition feature on them first.”

Steel Teeth Bite could be used in battle.

However, the idea of using teeth to bite opponents was unappealing, and more importantly, it could result in having one’s head blown off in one hit…

While Su Yuan was observing them, the two Big-eared Steel-toothed Dogs noticed Su Yuan approaching through the sound of the wind.

Without hesitation, they bared their teeth and charged at him.

“Their large bodies and fierce aura are quite intimidating!”

Su Yuan held his breath, his powerful dynamic vision locked onto the two Big-eared Steel-toothed Dogs.

He gripped the scabbard with his left hand, while his right hand rested on the saber’s hilt.

With dual E-rank Strength and Agility, the Big-eared Steel-toothed Dogs were not slow.

In just a moment, they were in front of Su Yuan.

As faint Star Power fluctuations arose, the dogs’ teeth turned a metallic silver-gray, becoming solid and metallic.

Skill, Steel Teeth Bite!

At this moment, the two Big-eared Steel-toothed Dogs leaped forward, rushing at Su Yuan with bared teeth!

Su Yuan, who had remained motionless, finally moved when the dogs leaped.

With a speed far surpassing ordinary humans, he dodged the first Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog and swiftly drew his saber, slashing upward at the second Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog.

Ɲονɡ0.сο

The second Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog never expected Su Yuan to be so fast.

It wanted to dodge but couldn’t change direction in mid-air.

A flash of cold light and a spray of blood later, the second Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog’s head flew high, without even a chance to scream!

At this time, the first Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog had just landed back on the ground.

Seeing its companion dead, the remaining Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog turned and looked.

Its eyes shone with even fiercer determination!

“Woof!!”

The Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog howled in anger and charged at Su Yuan with renewed force!

However, Su Yuan had already turned around.

Seeing the Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog attacking again, he advanced instead of retreating, swinging his saber directly at the dog’s head!

The Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog was shocked.

At the last moment, it managed to clamp its metallic silver-gray teeth onto the saber.

Feeling relieved, it intended to use its strength to knock Su Yuan down.

But what the Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog didn’t expect was the astonishingly strong force from the saber, which knocked it flying.

Most of its sharp teeth were broken, and it spat out a mouthful of blood.

Before the Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog could regain its footing, a silver light flashed in Su Yuan’s eyes.

In the next instant, he instantly teleported behind the dog and slashed.

Hearing the sound of the wind from behind, the Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog’s large ears twitched.

Thanks to its “Auditory Enhancement” talent, it sensed the danger and tried to roll forward.

However, detecting danger was one thing.

Evading it was another…

A line of blood appeared along the back of the Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog, extending to its tail.

Its body split open, spilling innards and blood everywhere.

Though it avoided getting its head cleaved, it was still heavily injured.

The grievously injured Big-eared Steel-toothed Dog fell to the ground, quickly losing its strength.

After a few whimpers, it closed its eyes and lay still…
