Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 16: Chapter 16 Generous Rewards Chapter 16: Chapter 16 Generous Rewards “As for the trial rewards…” Yang Jun paused briefly, then raised his voice, “This time, the rewards are much higher than before!”

Much higher?

Upon hearing this, the students in the class were immediately drawn in, looking at Yang Jun with eyes full of anticipation.

Yang Jun did not keep them in suspense: “Whatever the students earn during the trial, they can take it all with them, but that’s not all.

Additionally, this time the Education Bureau has really splurged, offering high-grade White Cards to the top two hundred, and Green Cards to the top twenty.”

Hearing this, the students couldn’t help but begin murmuring among themselves.

“In the past it was only the top one hundred who received high-grade White Cards, but this year it’s the top two hundred?

That’s great, now I also have a chance to compete!”

“Yes, every year the White Cards given out by the joint trial of the Education Bureau are worth over twenty thousand, getting one is a real gain!”

“…”

Hearing about the rewards, Su Yuan’s eyes also lit up.

Currently, besides the Soul Skill ‘Instant Movement’, he had hunted and embedded four skills in the Great Barbarian Mountain Area: ‘Steel Flame Finger’, ‘Hardened Iron Skin’, ‘Wind Walking’, ‘Gray Flame Strike’.

The reason he still had one skill slot left was to keep it for the Star Card from this joint trial reward!

“Twenty Green Cards, ten more than before, I should be able to pick a satisfying skill, right?” Su Yuan was somewhat expectant.

The Star Card rewards provided by the Education Bureau were chosen based on ranking, from front to back, the higher the rank, the greater the choice.

“I haven’t finished yet,” Yang Jun suddenly spoke again.

There’s more?

The students in the class were taken aback.

As per usual, the highest reward for the trials would be the Green Star Card.

Yang Jun’s gaze paused on Chen Jiujun, and he said with a smile, “For the top three competitors in this trial, the Education Bureau has additionally provided three Green Grade Weapon Cards to choose from!”

As soon as these words were spoken, they immediately stirred up a commotion.

“What!”

“There are even Weapon Cards!”

“Why so excited, it’s not like Weapon Cards have anything to do with us!”

“Wang Rui, one must have dreams!”

…

Regardless of the others, when the Green Weapon Cards were mentioned, everyone’s eyes, including Su Yuan’s, Jiang Jun’s, and Chen Jiujun’s, who was leaning against the window, flared with a burning desire!

“There are actually three Weapon Cards!”

Su Yuan was inwardly thrilled; he had just been envying Zhuang Xun’s black-red longsword, and now this?

Plans cannot always keep up with changes; if there were Weapon Cards, that was definitely the choice!

Skills were just transitional, but a Green Grade Weapon Card could be useful even up to the Silver and Gold Levels!

“It appears Fang Kun and Chen Jiujun, these two special admissions, have indeed brought quite a few benefits to the Guangchuan Education Bureau…

and these three Weapon Cards, if I’m not mistaken, should also be targeted rewards from the Education Bureau for both Fang Kun and Chen Jiujun, albeit in a different form.”

In terms of strength, special admissions indeed significantly excel over others, making it not too difficult to enter the top three.

Yang Jun continued, “Those are the rewards, everyone take good advantage of them, the chance is not small.

Additionally, everyone needs to bring their own weapons for the trial, other items like locators, dry food, etc., will be distributed tomorrow.

Alright, go back and rest early tonight, we will be staying in the Secret Realm for nearly two days.”

Yang Jun finished speaking and left, setting off a wave of discussions in the classroom.

“Wang Rui, Pan Zi, let’s form a team, shall we divide the killing rewards equally?”

“Sure, we are all Eighth Stage, our strengths are not much different, teaming up might even give us a chance to kill a Bronze-level Star Beast.

While Weapon Cards might not be easy to get, a Green Skill Card is still worth competing for, especially since this time the top twenty all have Green Card rewards.”

…

“Wan’er, shall we team up too?”

“But, I’m only at the Seventh Stage, won’t I hold you back?”

“Not at all, aren’t you skilled in perception and healing?

How could you hold us back?”

“Well, okay then, thank you, Yingying…”

…

The joint trials didn’t prohibit forming teams; from the experience of past events, although the Rainforest Secret Realm in Guangchuan City used random teleportation, those who entered together would be teleported to the same location.

This time, rewards were doubled, and everyone was hoping to make it into the top two hundred to earn the White Card reward.

People from the class formed teams in groups of twos and threes, while Chen Jiujun naturally had no intention of teaming up and left the classroom directly.

Behind him, a dozen students who hadn’t awakened their Soul Cards also left early.

Su Yuan packed up his things and prepared to leave; his old E-3 Longsword was already scrapped, and he planned to sell some undecomposed White Cards at the mall after class and buy a new Longsword.

Su Yuan was about to leave when Jiang Jun suddenly said, “How about we team up?

I don’t have a teammate anyway.”

“Me?” Su Yuan was truly surprised.

Jiang Jun was offering to team up without knowing his details.

After all, Jiang Jun was already at the Ninth Stage, one of the strong contenders for the Weapon Card, yet she was willing to initiate a team-up with him.

Although he had rapidly improved over the past month, only he knew about it.

To his classmates, it seemed like his cultivation had stagnated for a year, so his strength shouldn’t be considered strong.

After a slight pause, Su Yuan said apologetically, “No need, I should act alone, and with your strength, you probably don’t need a teammate either.”

Forming a team meant that rewards, including points and Star Cores, had to be split, and team actions weren’t as free as those of an individual.

Su Yuan estimated that with his current strength, he would be more efficient acting alone.

After saying this, Su Yuan waved his hand and left the classroom.

Watching Su Yuan’s briskly departing figure, Jiang Jun slightly narrowed her eyes.

“I don’t know why, but this guy always seems more complex than he appears, even though he just awakened…”

Shaking her head, Jiang Jun didn’t team up with anyone else and quickly left after packing her things.

…

At ten o’clock at night, in an underground practice room in a residential area in the east of the city, a figure was still vigorously swinging a broadsword under the lights.

This was a seventeen or eighteen-year-old youth, bare-chested with a muscular build, much more robust than typical peers!

This youth was Fang Kun, a specially recruited student from Guangchuan First Middle School from Shuzhou.

Fang Kun brandished his sword swiftly.

His saber skills were wide, powerful, and dominant, resembling a Fierce Tiger Descending the Mountain, displaying immense strength.

Suddenly, the mobile phone on the table started ringing.

Fang Kun paid no attention to it and didn’t even glance at it, continuing to complete the entire sequence of saber techniques before stopping.

He placed the broadsword on the rack, wiped his sweat with a towel, and then picked up the mobile phone.

“Zhuang Xun?

One of the students who passed through the special recruitment from Shuzhou, seems to be from Qingye High School.

Why is he suddenly calling me?”

With a bit of confusion, Fang Kun answered the call, “Hello?”

“Fang Kun?”

“That’s me, you’re Zhuang Xun from Qingye High School, right?

What’s up?”

“I want to ask about someone.”

“Ask about someone?”

“That’s right, a student named Su Yuan from Guangchuan Fourth Middle School.”

“Su Yuan?

Fourth Middle?” Fang Kun pondered for a moment, “I haven’t heard of him, isn’t Chen Jiujun the only notable one from Fourth Middle?”

Zhuang Xun seemed puzzled, “Chen Jiujun?

Who is that?”

“Just accepted as a special admission by Wanzhou Academy.”

“Oh?

One city, Guangchuan, not only has you and Su Yuan but also another special admissions student?”

Fang Kun was quite surprised, “Is this Su Yuan really that impressive, to be mentioned alongside me and Chen Jiujun?”

“Be mentioned alongside?” Zhuang Xun’s voice suddenly became a bit more solemn over the phone, “No, in my view, he might even be stronger than you and me!”

“Oh?” Fang Kun frowned slightly, “You’re not kidding, are you?”

“Of course not.”

Fang Kun paused slightly and said, “Well, we in Guangchuan City are having a joint trial tomorrow, so let me see for myself what this Su Yuan is capable of.”

“Hm?” A mysterious laughter came over the phone from Zhuang Xun, “Then I wish you a triumphant victory!”

“Alright.”

Fang Kun hung up the phone.

“Stronger than us?” Fang Kun thought for a while, a trace of eagerness rising in his eyes, and he broke into a smile, “I’m really looking forward to seeing just how skilled this expert Zhuang Xun mentioned is…”
