After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 2277: Chapter 581: Unbreakable Alliance

The players all looked surprised.

Because no coach had ever talked to them like this before.

This simply isn’t the kind of thing a National Team coach would say.

Every coach tells them to fight for the honor of the country.

Huang Kaiwen went on: ”You just heard that song, it’s called ’Unbreakable Alliance’. We won’t comment on what the Soviet Union was like, but each of you is an individual, and during the European Cup I want you to become an alliance—an unbreakable alliance!

You’ve seen the situation now as well: there are people constantly smearing the Netherlands team, UEFA is also making trouble for us. At a time like this I hope you can temporarily forget the conflicts between you. Right now you are an alliance that’s out to prove yourselves, to fight for honor.”

”Next time, if a Netherlands player gets fouled again, I don’t want to see anyone standing around watching the show. Everyone has to go up there and argue with them. Also, control the number of cards you’re getting, especially since after playing Germany we’ll be meeting our old friends Portugal. I really don’t want to have to worry about suspensions after we qualify.”

The players all burst out laughing.

They’d eaten plenty of cards in previous meetings with Portugal.

Back then, a lot of them hadn’t joined the National Team yet.

But they all knew exactly which match Huang Kaiwen was talking about.

Even the young C Ronaldo had a history of being treated like the ball.

Sixteen yellows and four reds in a single match—sensational across the whole football world.

”What is our tactic for?”

Robben raised his hand and asked, then quickly added: ”I’m not questioning it, I just want to know our objective.”

van Persie shook his head with a hint of regret.

This bald guy is actually pretty smart.

He’d already been gearing up to take revenge in Huang Kaiwen’s name, but he didn’t expect Robben to tack on that extra sentence.

The Kingdom of Denmark.

Huang Kaiwen wrote this phrase on the board and then underlined it.

He tapped the board with his hand and said, ”We drew with the weakest team in the group, so stop thinking you’re big favorites. Let me tell you, it’s because I joined the coaching staff that people outside started rating you. You should know how the odds have changed—the newspapers have all written about it. Playing on the counter doesn’t make you losers; on the contrary it can bring out the team’s strengths. Chain defending is a very good defensive system; under this tactical setup we’re definitely capable of getting good results.”

”I’m good, no more questions.”

Robben hurried to say.

”Anyone else who has questions can bring them up.”

Huang Kaiwen continued.

”How are we lining up the starting eleven tomorrow?”

Kuyt raised his hand and asked.

”The starting lineup is set already, but you’ll only find out tomorrow. Among all these National Teams, your lot are relatively stable emotionally—most of you have happy families, which is a great thing. I do hope you can show a bit of restraint though; I don’t want to see any limp noodles out there tomorrow.”

Huang Kaiwen joked.

The dressing room erupted in laughter again.

The Netherlands players really have no issues in that department.

Except for Sneijder and a handful of old scumbags.

Most of their wives are ordinary childhood sweethearts; their love lives are very simple.

Maybe it’s precisely because they don’t put any energy into cheating that they fight so fiercely on the pitch.

After all, players only have so many pursuits.

”So can we head out now, boss?”

Van Bommel asked.

”In a minute.”

Huang Kaiwen clapped his hands and said, ”Let’s practice one last thing. Since you’re already an unbreakable alliance, I’ll shout ’One-two-three’, and you shout ’For the Alliance’, OK?”

”No problem.”

”One, two, three...”

Huang Kaiwen called out.

”For the alliance!!!!!”

”Very good. Dismissed, go back and get a good rest.”

Huang Kaiwen waved as he spoke.

Once the players had filed out one after another, Cocu immediately came over to flatter him: ”You really have a way with them, BOSS. It’s rare to see these bastards so united.”

”It’s not my doing, mainly it’s that all those media are targeting the Netherlands team. Once they feel the pressure, of course they’ll bunch together.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

Cocu gave a dry laugh and nodded.

If it weren’t for what happened to De Boer, he might actually have believed Huang Kaiwen.

De Boer being painted as the mole could still be blamed on the media.

But Cruyff’s remarks were a lot more intriguing.

Given that Huang Kaiwen and Cruyff had met a few times recently, Cocu was sure there had to be Huang Kaiwen’s hand in this.

”Kevin, want to go out and have some fun? The girls in Ukraine should be right up your alley.”

Inzaghi came over and asked.

”Forget it. If you’re going out, watch yourself. The sanitation conditions here aren’t all that great.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

After Inzaghi left, Gattuso asked curiously, ”Why bring that guy along anyway? He does nothing but cause trouble.”

”We have a saying back home: kill the chicken to scare the monkeys. For that kind of thing you need a negative example.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a grin.

Gattuso was left standing there, dumbfounded.

It took him a few seconds to get it.

Shit, that bastard Inzaghi is going to get screwed over again!

Later that evening, Huang Kaiwen specially agreed to a phone interview.

Early the next morning, his comments were printed on the front page of the Warsaw Daily.

As expected, Huang Kaiwen once again praised three managers: Ten Hag, Löw, and Bento.

In the previous match, Germany had beaten Portugal 1–0.

They’d already become the most fancied team in the group.

At this point Löw’s German team had already shifted toward a ground-based style of play.

Earlier, in the match against Portugal, they’d also done a very good job of limiting C Ronaldo.

Although Gomes scored in that game, Huang Kaiwen wasn’t optimistic at all about Gomes’s future in the German team.
