After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 2274: Chapter 580: You Coach Like Ten Hag

Huang Kaiwen said.

”It’s fine, people with real ability always have their demands.”

Van Ostiven laughed and said: ”Since that’s the case, let’s not talk about the European Cup, let’s talk about something else.”

Cruyff immediately lit a cigarette.

He’d been smoking since his teens, and after he became head coach he practically never put his cigarettes down.

Huang Kaiwen smiled and didn’t say anything.

Huang Kaiwen ordered a cup of coffee and listened to Cruyff tell stories.

Actually, the stuff from their era of playing football is pretty interesting.

There wasn’t that much money, and players had a lot fewer distractions.

Someone like him, Mr. Huang, is especially nostalgic for the football world from over a hundred years ago—money and wealth were just external things, everyone could throw themselves into winning, that’s what’s really worth longing for.

Too much money isn’t necessarily a good thing.

The three of them hadn’t been chatting long when reporters came looking for them.

”From the United Kingdom?”

Huang Kaiwen asked with a smile.

”Yes, I’m Morgan Stones from ”The Times”, and he’s a nobody from ”The Sun newspaper” who keeps tagging along after me.”

One reporter said, sounding slightly disgusted.

Huang Kaiwen smiled and waved for them to sit down.

Because he remembered he’d drawn a trait earlier, and today was just right to try it out on Löw.

Cruyff and Van Ostiven chose to sit to the side and watch the show.

Morgan Stones immediately asked: ”Kevin, today we saw you directing from the touchline—are you going to be the Netherlands team’s head coach for the foreseeable future?”

”Yeah, that’s right. Mr. Van Marwijk suddenly had a heart attack and can’t continue coaching.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

”That really is regrettable.”

Stones said in a faux-sympathetic tone.

The other reporter from ”The Sun newspaper” immediately asked: ”We’ve already got reliable information that the Netherlands team had a bust-up in the dressing room at half-time, and that’s why Van Marwijk suddenly had a heart attack—is that true?”

Before Huang Kaiwen could speak, Van Ostiven immediately glared and said: ”Don’t talk nonsense, nothing like that happened.”

The ”The Sun newspaper” reporter smiled, put a recorder on the table, and pressed play.

What came out was Robben’s and van Persie’s voices.

Everyone’s expression changed.

In Huang Kaiwen’s mind, another idea immediately formed.

Having the infighting exposed might not be a bad thing.

All this hiding it, coddling the players—they still end up fighting anyway.

So better to let the media expose it completely, use outside pressure to force the Netherlands national team to pull together.

Even though he couldn’t leak it himself, Yellow Ball King could pay the media to slam the Netherlands team!

Fuck.

He’d have to make sure the Dutch Football Association reimbursed this expense.

Sometimes even Huang Kaiwen admired himself—his ability to adapt was ridiculous.

If he handled this right, there was a lot of potential.

Once the Dutch are united, then have the media expose scandals from other national teams to shift the focus and ease the media pressure on the Netherlands national team.

”Yes, but it’s no longer an issue now.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

They’ve got proof; you can’t deny it even if you want to.

”So do you have a way to get the Netherlands national team united?”

The ”The Sun newspaper” reporter asked.

”I don’t know, but I’m willing to give it a try.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

”Kevin, what’s your take on your next opponents, Germany?”

Morgan Stones asked.

Huang Kaiwen showed a handsome smile and said: ”The German team and the Portugal Team are both extremely strong. I’m very familiar with a lot of German and Portuguese players—we’ve played together or as opponents on the pitch. I know very well what makes them so formidable. This group is not easy.”

”So getting out of the group will be tough?”

Morgan Stones pressed.

”I really don’t have a hundred percent certainty. Mr. Löw and Mr. Bento are both truly great coaches, they possess great traits. I’ve seen those same traits in a young coach; his name is Ten Hag. He’s outstanding and is bound to achieve something in the future. In many ways Mr. Löw and Mr. Bento are similar to Ten Hag, whether in tactics or in the finer details—maybe that’s the trait a successful coach has to have.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

”Sounds impressive—if you speak so highly of them, they must be very outstanding coaches.”

Morgan Stones flattered him.

Huang Kaiwen nodded and said: ”You’ll get to know him soon enough. That’s it for today’s interview, I need to get back to the hotel. Remember to rank Lily Collins a bit higher on your list!”

The ”The Sun newspaper” reporter immediately nodded.

For a big star, such a small request was easy to fulfill.

After Huang Kaiwen left.

Cruyff and Van Ostiven exchanged a look and voiced their confusion: ”Who is Ten Hag?”

”
