After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1970: Chapter 517: So Your Name Is Thomas Müller

”Thank you, thank you!”

Kaka said, a little nervous.

”You should go in and see Beatrice.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

”Kevin, can we go in together?”

Kaka asked instinctively.

”Forget it, I’ll come visit her again after a while.”

Huang Kaiwen shook his head.

Even though European girls have different physiques, they’re still in pretty rough shape right after giving birth; it’s not really appropriate to visit now.

Led by the nurse, Kaka changed his clothes.

He followed along, completely at a loss.

Beatrice looked exhausted, but when she saw Kaka she smiled.

”You’ve worked hard.”

Kaka said, moved.

”It’s nothing, we should’ve had a child long ago.”

Beatrice said with a smile.

Kaka asked carefully, ”Do we still need a second child?”

”Let’s not, for the time being.”

Beatrice said directly.

Kaka immediately let out a sigh of relief.

He then asked, ”Shouldn’t the baby be baptized? At what age is better in Italy?”

”You don’t need to worry about that.”

Beatrice said with a smile.

The Borromeo Family even produced a Pope; their child doesn’t have to wait for the usual baptism date like ordinary people.

After chatting for a bit, Beatrice asked, ”Have you decided on the baby’s name?”

Kaka nodded heavily and said, ”Paul Erwin dos Santos Leite.”

Originally he’d wanted to add Huang Kaiwen’s name in the middle, but Huang Kaiwen refused.

Kaka felt that the experience of finding Rommel’s treasure this time was quite unforgettable, so he added Rommel’s name Erwin in the middle; Erwin and Irwin are spelled the same in English.

”Sounds pretty good.”

Beatrice said with a smile.

Paul is a very classic Christian name.

”Yeah, Kevin helped me come up with it!”

Kaka said, smiling radiantly.

Beatrice finally couldn’t smile anymore.

...

The news of Kaka’s son being born swept across Europe.

In the football world, Kaka had always been very popular with the fans.

The Sun newspaper even offered 150,000 pounds for a single photo of the baby.

Just then, Milan suddenly announced a transfer.

On Milan’s official website it read: ”After friendly negotiations with Arsenal, AC Milan has signed Arsenal player Robin van Persie for 52 million Euro. He possesses the valuable qualities the team needs, and we have very high expectations for Robin’s performance in the new season.”

Boom—

This piece of news almost blew up the entire European football scene.

van Persie was, so far this summer, the most expensive transfer.

And before this, the big name at Arsenal closest to leaving had been Fabregas; no one expected van Persie to be the one to go at this time.

This was also the result of Gagliani compromising with Guardiola.

Otherwise he would never have paid 52 million Euro for van Persie.

Aside from the not-yet-announced Messi, who would be joining Milan in the winter break, this was already the highest transfer outlay in Milan’s history.

To bring in a player with no personal honors at such a high price was very hard for Gagliani to swallow.

Because of this, Rosell flew into a rage.

World Sports News revealed that Rosell cursed Gagliani out in his office as a liar, a thief, a damned bastard, a senseless viper, a backstabbing traitor.

This 52 million Euro would inevitably make Fabregas’s transfer even more difficult.

Although Arsenal had always sold excellent players, they rarely let multiple key players leave all at once.

With this money, Arsenal’s financial pressure was also greatly eased.

It would be even harder for Barca to bring in Fabregas now.

Not only that.

Huntelaar called Huang Kaiwen several days in a row to complain about it.

After all, they had played together at Chelsea, and now Milan turned around and bought another Dutch striker; he found it hard to accept.

July 14.

When the whole squad returned for training.

Milan’s attacking line was fully present; even Kaka, whose son had just been born, chose to come back.

”Your vacation isn’t over yet, Ricardo.” Huang Kaiwen said quietly.

”Can’t be helped, the competition in the team is too fierce.”

Kaka said helplessly.

If he really skipped the summer training camp, he couldn’t be sure Guardiola would still let him start next season.

Looking at his familiar players, Guardiola said, ”I really didn’t expect that for two seasons in a row the lineup would be basically the same. I hear nobody wants to leave, which makes me very happy, but also a bit worried. If a squad has no turnover, it’s easy to lose motivation. So don’t think that just by staying you can automatically get trophies, bonuses, and honors. If anyone’s form in the friendlies doesn’t satisfy me, I will definitely recommend to the club that he be sold.”

He wouldn’t have said something like this before.

But now that there was no movement in Milan’s personnel and he couldn’t bring in the players he wanted, Guardiola could only say some unpleasant things.

Van Bommel muttered, ”Why do I feel like the coach isn’t in a very good mood?”

”You guessed right, so everyone had better be careful.”

Huang Kaiwen nodded.

Training started, and most of the players showed pretty good condition.

Milan’s players were relatively self-disciplined.

Burger King and De Bruyne, the two young guys who hadn’t played in the first team yet, had both chosen extra training over the summer.

This left Huang Kaiwen a bit disappointed—he didn’t get to see Hazard’s little belly.

As for Ibrahimovic, no need to even mention him; that guy is a training maniac.

A few days later, the whole Milan squad had already entered season mode. In the July 20 friendly against Arno they blasted in 22 goals in the first half alone and basically took their foot off the gas in the second.

Even so, the match still finished 31–0.
