Chapter 1075: Chapter 1074: Yinghua Special Forces

”However, Lin Dong, there is something else you need to be careful about,”

It was at this moment that the Dragon King War God’s tone shifted, tinged with a hint of worry.

”Oh? What’s that?” Lin Dong immediately asked.

”That Qingye Death God specifically asked me whether you would lead your team in the upcoming War Department Grand Competition. I suppose you understand the implication behind his inquiry?” the Dragon King War God said gravely.

After pondering for a moment, Lin Dong nodded and said, ”It seems he is also participating in this Grand Competition, aiming to use it as a platform to lead his Special Combat Team in reclaiming their honor.”

”It’s not just about reclaiming honor; let’s be frank, this Grand Competition is different from the previous ones,” the Dragon King War God spoke seriously: ”Past competitions have been within the thirty-six war zones of our own country!”

”Although there are thirty-six war zones, belonging to different areas, they are all under the Dragon Country War Department, so the competition was always conducted with restraint.”

”But this time, the War Department Grand Competition also includes Special Combat Units from other countries. When the fists and kicks start flying, it’s not going to be that simple.”

Having heard the Dragon King War God’s words, Lin Dong instantly understood.

”So, you need to be extra vigilant and properly train the Special Combat Team you lead. Otherwise, it won’t just be a simple defeat—there is a very real possibility that they could die!” the Dragon King War God solemnly stated.

Hearing this, Lin Dong too, fell silent.

If it were merely about winning and losing, Lin Dong wouldn’t be so concerned.

But when their very lives were at stake, Lin Dong dared not treat the matter lightly.

He gravely responded, ”Alright, I will train them rigorously this coming month!”

The laid-back training approach from before clearly wouldn’t cut it.

He must take greater responsibility for them!

”Mm, but don’t put too much pressure on yourself. If it comes to it, just have them surrender during the competition,”

”If they dare to kill or injure someone after surrendering, we certainly won’t let them off easily!”

Of course, if someone got injured or died during the competition, even the Dragon Country War Department wouldn’t be able to say much, as that would be a matter of inferior skill!

After hanging up the phone, Lin Dong directly headed for the War Department.

Meanwhile, at the Capital City’s War Ministry guesthouse for foreign dignitaries.

At the moment, Qingye Death God had already returned.

His face looked particularly ugly. He had gone to the Dragon King War God to demand an explanation and not only did he not get what he wanted, but he also got a warning instead.

But this was an insult he clearly couldn’t swallow!

He immediately thought of using the upcoming War Department Grand Competition to get his revenge.

Soon, he appeared before the two Special Combat Teams he led.

One was the elite ’Upper Ninja Special Forces’ of Yinghua Country, a team of eighty members, all under thirty-five years of age—all elite upper ninjas from the Yinghua Country War Department!

In Yinghua Country, the term upper ninja is used to describe martial artists, equivalent to Grandmaster strength in Dragon Country!

In other words, this Special Combat Team was entirely composed of Grandmasters!

Such was their formidable strength!

He glanced at the elite members of the ’Upper Ninja Special Forces,’ then turned to another team of a hundred members beside them.

This hundred-member team was another combat team from Yinghua Country competing in the competition.

Just like the team Lin Dong was leading, this team was composed entirely of common soldiers under thirty-five years of age!

They didn’t have the innate talent of martial artists, but through rigorous training, they had emerged from several hundreds of thousands of soldiers.

Their combat skills, physical strength, and individual combat capabilities were at the level of the finest warriors from any war zone.

Though not martial artists, they were still respected by the War Department.

They were at the pinnacle of ordinary people.

Their name was ’Yinghua Special Forces’!

Named after the cherry blossom, it showed the Yinghua Country War Department’s high regard for them!

At that moment, Qingye Death God, looking at these hundred members of the Yinghua Special Forces, loudly declared, ”Today, I give you a task!”

”In the War Department Grand Competition one month from now, I want you to fiercely take out the regular Special Operation Team from Demon City!”

”If they surrender, then forget it, just make them kneel! But if they refuse to surrender, heh, show no mercy, kill them!”

Receiving Qingye Death God’s command, the members of the ’Yinghua Special Forces’ revealed a cold smile.

In their smiles was contempt and ridicule for Demon City’s regular Special Operation Team.

They had all carefully reviewed the information on their opponents in this Grand Competition.

They hadn’t taken the Demon City regular Special Operation Team seriously at all.

In the rankings of the thirty-six divisions of Dragon Country’s War Department, Demon City’s team was third from the bottom. Defeating them would be more than manageable for them.

”Yes, Lord Death God, when we meet them, we will ensure they are either dead or injured!” the team leader of the Yinghua Special Forces loudly proclaimed.

”Good!”

A cold smirk appeared at the corner of Qingye Death God’s mouth, thinking, Master Lin, oh Master Lin, if I kill all the members of the Special Combat Team you’re leading, how will you continue to serve as the substitute War God of the War Department?

Even if I don’t kill them all, if I just beat them and shame them, you will lose face in the War Department forever!

With that thought, he couldn’t help but smile broadly.

He was very much looking forward to the arrival of the War Department Grand Competition in a month!
