Chapter 1068: Chapter 1067 Press Conference

Lin Dong had been unaware of the Gong family’s situation these past few days.

During this time, he was in the research and development lab of Qingcheng International, working on a new product.

The development process went smoothly, and the product was completed before the third day.

Lin Dong handed the sample over to Li Qingcheng.

Then, the two headed for the location of the new product release.

The venue for this new product launch was the conference hall of the Qingcheng International Building.

Due to the fermentation of the news over the past few days, coupled with Li Xianhe’s deliberate negative marketing, the attention to this release was extraordinarily great.

At the moment, reporters swarmed the entrance of the Qingcheng International Building.

These reporters were not just domestic ones; some had even specially rushed over from Paocai Nation.

The high-ranking officials of Qingcheng International were besieged by the reporters.

They were bombarded with all sorts of tricky questions.

”Deputy General Chen, as the vice president who surely knows the details about Qingcheng International’s newly developed product, could you give us a sneak peek? Is it as miraculously effective as President Liu claimed?”

”Why doesn’t your company apply for the Nobel Prize in Medicine if the new product can really make people look twenty years younger and rejuvenate them by five years?”

”I heard that the market share of Beautifying Powder has sharply declined recently, having been almost completely taken over by Paocai Nation’s ’Dadong Youth Cream’. Is President Liu’s claim about the new product just a desperate lie spread by Qingcheng International on its deathbed?”

”...”

These people didn’t care about Qingcheng International’s face at all, asking whatever questions would embarrass them the most.

The executives of Qingcheng International maintained stern faces, looking very serious.

If the new product were fake, then Qingcheng International would completely collapse this time around.

The reputation they had built up until now would utterly vanish.

”President Liu is here!”

Just then, a voice rang out.

Immediately, Li Qingcheng and Lin Dong appeared on the scene.

The attendees on-site were not martial artists or among Demon City’s top tycoons like He Sihai or Wu Ming, so they did not recognize Lin Dong.

Everyone’s attention was still focused on Li Qingcheng, the beautiful chairwoman of Qingcheng International.

A throng of reporters approached, asking, ”President Liu, the new product you boasted about three days ago, is it really developed?’

Li Qingcheng gave the crowd a faint smile and said,

”The sample of our new product is right here in my hand; the press conference is about to begin. If you have any questions, please wait until the results of the product’s testing are out!”

After saying that, she took the lead and walked towards the conference hall where the release event was being held.

At the event site, professional cosmetic inspection agencies from Dragon Country had already arrived early.

In addition, the chairpersons from various cosmetic companies in Dragon Country were here as well.

There were also many cosmetic distributors.

Among these distributors, quite a few were the ones who had come to Qingcheng International asking for returns three days ago.

Of course, Li Xianhe, Wang Xiuxin, and Wang Yu were naturally in the crowd as well.

When Li Qingcheng appeared, Wang Yu sneered, saying,

”The lie is about to be exposed; the only outcome for Qingcheng International will be bankruptcy!”

Li Xianhe also burst out laughing.

If Qingcheng International were to fall, he was confident that Dadong Pharmaceutical could seize ninety percent of the market share in Dragon Country’s cosmetics industry!

Wang Xiuxin too was waiting to see Li Qingcheng’s embarrassment!

Of course, he was even more eager to see Lin Dong’s humiliation.

Li Qingcheng glanced at Lin Dong, and Lin Dong nodded at her, signaling that she could begin testing.

Li Qingcheng cleared her throat and announced loudly, ”Now, the Qingcheng International new product launch is officially starting!”

”I won’t waste any words here, let’s go straight to the testing!”

”We will test the two effects that everyone is most concerned about: first, maintaining youth for twenty years! Second, reversing aging by five years!”

After saying this, she took out the samples and handed half of them over to the specialized testing facility!

To test its effects on alleviating cellular aging!

The other half of the samples, she handed to Lin Dong, signaling for him to conduct a test.

Lin Dong took the sample and, looking down at the crowd below the stage, laughingly said,

”Is there a lady here who’d like to come on stage for a free test?”

Woosh!

The moment he said this, it caused another sensation.

”What does that mean? Can you really see the results right after using it?”

”And who is this guy? Why is President Liu allowing him to speak at such an important launch event?”

”...”

As everyone was discussing, Wang Yu stood up, pointed at Lin Dong, and with a smile, said,

”He’s the one, the developer of the new product!”

So that was it!

Hearing this, everyone was suddenly enlightened.

However, the looks they gave Lin Dong were filled with doubt!

If Qingcheng International’s new product had been developed by someone who specialized in beauty product research, like some of the domestic authority figures, perhaps they would have held onto a sliver of hope for Qingcheng International.

But now that they knew the researcher was actually a young man in his twenties, they had almost no hope at all!

Even after a long wait, Lin Dong couldn’t find a single volunteer.

”Hahaha, this is awkward. It seems everyone is afraid that your product of dubious origin might ruin their skin,” laughed Wang Yu.

Li Xianhe, looking very debonair, intended to publicly declare Qingcheng International’s new product a failure, smiled and said to Liu Qingcheng,

”President Liu, in the spirit of being competitors, I’ll put up money to fund a volunteer for you!”

After saying that, he addressed the crowd,

”Which lady here of a certain age would complete this test, I, Li Xianhe, will give her one million RMB!”

Woosh!

There would be takers for such a substantial reward.

After all, one million wasn’t a small number and immediately someone stood up.

”I’ll do it!”

A woman with sallow, wrinkled skin stepped forward.

She was a reporter who often worked late nights, her actual age was a little over thirty, but she looked much older, seeming to be in her forties.

Lin Dong looked at her and nodded; people who looked older than their age were the best subjects for the test!

The woman came up and approached Lin Dong.

Lin Dong pulled out the new product, different from Beautifying Powder, it was a black plaster.

At the moment, Lin Dong spread the sample all over the woman’s face!

And then, he covered it with a facial mask!

He then said to everyone, ”We will have to wait half an hour for the test results!”

Everyone wasn’t in a hurry and patiently waited.

But within a few minutes, Lin Dong’s phone suddenly rang.

It was a call from Gong Yanwu of the Gong Family.

Lin Dong slightly furrowed his brows, stepped aside from everyone, and took the call.

”Gong Yanwu, what’s the matter?”

Gong Yanwu sounded anxious. ”Lin... Master Lin, you need to come to our place right away. If you don’t, our Gong Family will soon belong to the people from the Yinghua Country!”

Hearing this, Lin Dong’s face changed slightly, then he nodded and said,

”Okay, I’ll be right there!”
