Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 922: Chapter 922 Wu Yue

After leaving the Back Mountain, Lin Dong returned to the temple.

At the door of the temple, Wu Ming, who had been waiting for a long time, regarded Lin Dong with the reverence one has for the gods.

”Mr. Lin, just now Wu Ming was blind-sighted and failed to recognize the true master, I hope Mr. Lin will forgive my offense.”

Wu Ming sincerely apologized to Lin Dong.

Even though he hadn’t seen what happened later, he had witnessed Lin Dong’s display of mystical abilities with the flowers and leaves in the Temple’s Hall.

Furthermore, Master Falin had fled from Lin Dong in fear, so Wu Ming, not being a fool, naturally understood that the Mr. Lin before him must be a true master, even more powerful than Master Falin.

Lin Dong waved his hand and said, ”It’s all right.”

Lin Dong was not in the mood to quibble with him.

Even though he had ordered his bodyguards to expel him from the temple just now,

Lin Dong, putting himself in the other’s shoes, could understand.

He guessed that Wu Ming was acting out of desperation to save his daughter.

Lin Dong had no intention of holding a grudge and was about to leave.

Suddenly, Wu Ming ’thumped’ to his knees before Lin Dong and then said, ”Mr. Lin, your powers are vast, and even Master Falin feared you as one would a deity.”

”You must have a way to save my daughter, right?”

”Please, I’m begging you to save my daughter, she’s almost gone.”

It was then that Lin Dong remembered that his daughter had been cursed by Master Falin’s witchcraft. Although Master Falin had died, the witchcraft on her remained.

If he didn’t help her break the curse, she might not live much longer.

Seeing Wu Ming kneeling on the ground, Lin Dong thought he was indeed sincere.

His social status was not insignificant, and the fact that he could kneel before Lin Dong spoke volumes.

Lin Dong nodded and said, ”Okay, I will save your daughter for you!”

On hearing this, Wu Ming immediately overflowed with gratitude.

His daughter was nearby, already slipping into unconsciousness.

On her neck, there was a mark of Witch Text, just like what Su Yuqi had before.

Looking at the situation, she had been afflicted with ’Yin Witch’s Curse’ by Master Falin.

It was also fortunate that he encountered Lin Dong; otherwise, her life would have been certain to end.

After Lin Dong went over to her side, he used the same method to treat her.

First, using his Inner Qi, he removed the Witch Text from her neck. Then, he inserted Nine Silver Needles to seal the curse and prevent it from reappearing.

”Boom!”

Her condition was slightly better than Su Yuqi’s, for the curse had not been afflicting her for as long. After Lin Dong inserted the Nine Silver Needles, she immediately came to.

”Yue Yue, you’re awake. How do you feel? Does your stomach still hurt? Is there any pain anywhere else in your body?” It was evident that Wu Ming dearly loved his daughter.

At that moment, he asked with great concern.

Wu Yue shook her head, ”Daddy, it doesn’t hurt anymore.”

”Nothing hurts anymore.”

Wu Ming, overwhelmed with emotion, hugged her, his voice trembling.

”That’s wonderful, Yue Yue, you’re finally better. During these days of your sickness, Dad was really worried to death.”

Then he remembered Lin Dong standing beside him and quickly pulled his daughter Wu Yue’s hand, saying:

”Yue Yue, quickly thank Mr. Lin! He saved you; he is your benefactor.”

Wu Yue, about eighteen years old and in the bloom of youth, curiously looked at this young man who was not much older than herself and said crisply:

”Thank you, Brother Lin.”

”Yue Yue, how should you address him? Show some respect, call him Mr. Lin!” Wu Ming said.

Wu Yue appeared a bit resentful, preparing to comply with her father Wu Ming’s command to correct herself.

Lin Dong, smiling, waved his hand and said, ”It’s fine, I’m not that much older than she is.”

Wu Ming immediately brightened up and hurriedly said, ”Yue Yue, don’t forget to thank your benefactor again.”

”Mm-hmm, thank you, Brother Lin. Brother Lin, you are so handsome, even more so than the star brothers under our company’s banner.”

”Did you use Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat me just now? And were these needles on my body also inserted by you? It’s so amazing, it didn’t hurt at all.”

Lin Dong laughingly said, ”Yes, I used Traditional Chinese Medicine.”

At this point, he turned to look at Wu Ming.

”Oh yes, Mr. Wu, you must not remove these needles.”

”Also, Wu Yue’s sickness hasn’t been completely cured. I need to write you a prescription, and you should get the Chinese medicine on this prescription, concoct it, and take it for three treatment courses, then the sickness can be completely eradicated.”

As Lin Dong instructed, he gestured for Wu Ming to bring paper and pen.

Wu Ming called his secretary, who handed over the paper and pen.

After Lin Dong had finished writing, he handed the paper to Wu Ming.

”Some of these Chinese medicines are quite hard to find. However, you can still find them; just look around at a few Traditional Chinese Medicine shops, that’ll do.”

”Okay, thank you very much, Mr. Lin!” Wu Ming was extremely grateful.

After Lin Dong finished treating Wu Ming’s daughter, he prepared to leave the temple and return to downtown.

Wu Ming quickly asked, ”Mr. Lin, did you drive here? If not, may we offer you a ride back?”

Wu Yue also said, ”Brother Lin, why don’t you go back with us?”

Lin Dong hadn’t actually driven there, so he nodded and said, ”Okay.”

Then, Lin Dong got into Wu Ming’s vehicle, an extended version of a Rolls-Royce.

In the front, the personal driver was driving, while the spacious and luxurious back seat accommodated Lin Dong, Wu Ming, and Wu Yue.

Although three people were sitting, the space was far more than sufficient.

The back seat was like an opulent private room, replete with splendor and stocked with many fine wines, delicious foods, and desserts.

It had to be said, the rich even ride in luxury!

”Mr. Lin, do you drink? This is a Lafitte I’ve treasured for many years,” Wu Ming asked, holding a bottle of high-grade red wine.

Lin Dong shook his head; he was not interested in these things.

Seeing this, Wu Ming didn’t ask any further. If they had been of equal social status, or if Lin Dong’s status had been a bit higher, he might have insisted.

But in his eyes, Lin Dong was like a god, so he didn’t even dare to offer a drink.

Wu Ming seemed somewhat restrained, not daring to speak to Lin Dong casually.

On the contrary, his daughter Wu Yue was having a great time chatting with Lin Dong.

She had no ulterior motives and wasn’t trying to curry favor with Lin Dong, just chatting with him about some inconsequential things like someone of her age would.

Before long, they arrived downtown.

”Mr. Wu, Yue Yue, I’ll get off just up ahead.”

The car was not far from Demon City Grand Hotel when Lin Dong spoke.

”Sure, sure.” Wu Ming quickly told the driver to stop the car.

After the car had stopped, Lin Dong prepared to get out.

However, at that moment, Wu Yue suddenly said, ”Brother Lin, I just remembered something.”

”In three days, it’ll be my eighteenth birthday. Could you come to my birthday banquet?”

Lin Dong was going to decline.

But seeing Wu Yue’s expectant look and recalling the pleasant chat they had just had, he thought she could be considered a friend.

Moreover, he had no urgent matters to attend to in three days, so he nodded and said, ”Sure.”

”That’s fantastic.” Wu Yue was delighted. ”Then it’s settled, my birthday banquet will be held at Demon City Grand Hotel. Brother Lin, you have to come, okay? I’ll introduce you to some star sisters then. They’re all very beautiful.”

As she spoke, she batted her eyelashes, looking very adorable.

Lin Dong nodded with a smile, ”Okay.”

Seeing this, Wu Yue happily crawled back into the car and they drove away.
