Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 918: Chapter 918 Monks Do Not Swear

At this moment, everyone’s attention was focused on Lin Dong.

The monk who had brought Lin Dong in was scared out of his wits; he had warned Lin Dong not to speak out of turn, but to his dismay, Lin Dong hadn’t listened at all.

And his voice was so loud that everyone heard his nonsensical talk.

”This is the end...” The monk who had brought Lin Dong in was so frightened that his palms were sweating.

Master Falin, who was performing the ritual, looked at Lin Dong after hearing his words.

Then, with a fake smile that didn’t reach his eyes, he said, ”Where did this little friend come from, spouting nonsense like this?”

”Who brought him in?”

The monk who had brought Lin Dong in had an expression as ugly as one could get, and he tried to sneak away.

But at this moment, Lin Dong pointed at him and said:

”This master brought me in, and the words I just said were also what he told me.”

”He said that despite Master Falin’s appearance as a grandmaster, he is actually nothing but a clown playing at being divine.”

”I didn’t, I didn’t, shut your mouth, don’t slander me!” The monk who had brought Lin Dong in was completely flabbergasted; he had never said such things.

Lin Dong spread his hands and said, ”Why don’t you admit it, Master? Just now, many people saw you bringing me in, right?”

”If you don’t believe me, ask the fat monk next to you; he also saw that it was you who brought me in!”

Master Falin frowned and asked the fat monk, ”Is that so?”

The fat monk replied, ”It was the junior brother who brought him in; I indeed saw it just now.”

The monk who had brought Lin Dong in felt completely numb; he explained frantically:

”Master Falin, it’s true that I brought him in, but I didn’t say what he’s claiming.”

”He’s accusing me wrongly!”

With that, he glared at Lin Dong furiously: ”You’re deliberately trying to screw me over, aren’t you? Why are you so malicious?”

Lin Dong put his hands together and said, ”Master, monks do not swear.”

”I...” The face of the monk turned green with anger.

Master Falin’s frown deepened; at this moment, he also sensed that Lin Dong had come with ill intentions.

He glanced at the monk and said sternly, ”Get out of here! You’re making a spectacle of yourself, you’ve lost all the face of the Buddha.”

The monk who had brought Lin Dong in stiffened; he knew that from today onwards, he was likely to be expelled from the temple.

He glared resentfully at Lin Dong and then left unwillingly.

After he had left, Master Falin looked at Lin Dong again and then said with a smile:

”Donor, it seems you come with bad intentions. This is a place of Buddhism, not somewhere you can spout nonsense at will.”

Lin Dong shrugged and said, ”How have I been spouting nonsense?”

”You just claimed that after the old monk performs the ritual, this young girl will not survive half a month. That is spouting nonsense!”

As he said this, he looked at Wu Ming next to him and said with a serious tone:

”Mr. Wu, this donor is obstructing my ritual, delaying the best time to save your daughter. I must continue the ritual immediately, or your daughter’s sickness could become much worse.”

No sooner had he finished speaking when suddenly Wu Ming’s ’sick’ daughter began to cry out in pain.

”Ouch, my stomach hurts so much. It feels like a poisonous snake is biting me.” She rolled on the ground in agony, and at the same time she vomited, spitting out a pool of fresh blood.

Seeing this, Wu Ming looked at Lin Dong with anger on his face.

In his view, his daughter’s sudden deterioration was because Lin Dong had disrupted Master Falin’s ritual.

”Someone, kick this kid out!”

He ordered his bodyguards to go towards Lin Dong.

Seeing this, Lin Dong couldn’t help but shake his head and said:

”Mr. Wu, please do not be obstinate.”

”Your daughter’s sickness is also related to this Master Falin. He has cast a spell inside your daughter, desiring her condition to worsen.”

”If you let him continue the ritual, you are completely harming your daughter!”

”Do you know that what he calls performing a ritual is actually applying the ’Yin Witch’s Curse’ on your daughter? Once she is cursed with the ’Yin Witch’s Curse’, her life will rapidly decline within half a month.”

”That’s why I said earlier that if you let him continue performing the ritual, your daughter would not survive half a month!”

Upon hearing these words, a brief, nearly undetectable change flickered in Master Falin’s eyes.

But it flashed by and naturally went unnoticed by Wu Ming and the others.

He continued performing the ritual for Wu Ming’s daughter, and under his ministrations, the girl who had just been suffering and spitting blood showed a marked improvement.

Naturally, Wu Ming believed Master Falin more than Lin Dong, who appeared to him as nothing more than a brash young stranger.

He warned, ”Kid, if you keep talking nonsense here and prevent Master Falin from saving my daughter, don’t blame me for letting my bodyguards teach you a harsh lesson!”

Seeing that he still didn’t believe him, Lin Dong shook his head and laughed coldly:

”Mr. Wu, may I ask, was your daughter born on July 15th?”

At these words, Wu Ming’s expression changed drastically, and he blurted out, ”How do you know that?”

”I naturally know because daughters born on July 15th are the perfect hosts for cultivating his ’Yin Witch’s Curse’! The Gambling King’s daughter, Su Yuqi, was almost killed by this curse he had placed on her.”

”If you continue to be delusional, then you will be the cause of your daughter’s death.”

Upon hearing these words, Wu Ming’s expression fluctuated, and at this moment, doubt began to rise in his heart.

As for Master Falin, his gaze on Lin Dong was filled with killing intent...
