Chapter 822: Chapter 822 Capital Circle Sanctions

That day, online.

The ”dog-eat-dog” video of Yu Jing and Ishii Koizumi was uploaded.

Due to Ishii Koizumi’s unique identity, it became a local hit in Demon City.

Many people in Demon City saw this video, and it also spread across various circles in the city.

It quickly made its way into the circles of the Yinghua Merchants Association.

Upon seeing the video, Ishii Ichiro, the president of the Yinghua Merchants Association, flew into a rage.

He summoned his son, Ishii Koizumi, and scolded him, ”Koizumi, you have disgraced the face of our empire’s merchants. Even the cherry blossoms from our hometown are shamed because of you!”

Ishii Koizumi hung his head, not daring to speak.

”Father, it’s all because of the current owner of the Demon City Grand Hotel. It’s all because of him that I’ve lost face,” Ishii Koizumi said, clenching his fist.

”You’ve lost the face of empire merchants, so it’s your responsibility to reclaim it. I grant you the rights of the Yinghua Merchants Association, and you must restore the dignity of our empire’s merchants,” Ishii Ichiro said.

”Yes, Father!” Ishii Koizumi affirmed, clenching his fist. With the rights granted by his father, he was determined to make Lin Dong pay dearly.

Ishii Ichiro handed him a Chamber of Commerce Token.

With this token, he could represent the position of the president and mobilize the entire energy of the Yinghua Merchants Association.

Soon, he issued sanctions against Lin Dong and the Demon City Grand Hotel.

”The Yinghua Merchants Association hereby sanctions the Demon City Grand Hotel and its current new owner.”

”Anyone doing business with the Demon City Grand Hotel is an enemy of our merchants’ association, standing against us. Anyone who joins us in sanctioning them will become our partner in cooperation,” he declared.

”The sanctions begin today...”

As soon as the Yinghua Merchants Association issued the sanctions, it caused quite a stir in the entire business community of Demon City.

The Yinghua Merchants Association was the largest merchants’ association from Yinghua Country in Dragon Country, with many merchants and huge interests involved.

Many businessmen of Dragon Country, especially those in Demon City, had cooperations with them.

Now that their sanctions have been issued, naturally many people echoed them.

Right away, many voiced their stance.

”Chen Corp hereby withdraws all collaboration with the Demon City Grand Hotel. From now on, our company’s meetings, annual gatherings, and various other events will all be moved to different hotels.”

”Yue Entertainment also terminates its cooperation with the Demon City Grand Hotel. All future events will not be held at the Demon City Grand Hotel. Moreover, we call on our affiliated artists not to hold any banquets at the Demon City Grand Hotel or even attend any activities there!”

”I, star Xiao Zhen, terminate the endorsement cooperation with the Demon City Grand Hotel. This hotel is actually rubbish, so family and fans, don’t stay at their hotel in the future.”

”Ugly Group terminates cooperation with the Demon City Grand Hotel and will no longer allow the Demon City Grand Hotel to feature on our platform.”

”Feiniu.com ends its cooperation with the Demon City Grand Hotel and removes its online booking channel from our software.”

”...”

For a while, the Demon City Grand Hotel was ostracized by everyone in the capital circle.

They didn’t even bother to investigate who the current owner of the Demon City Grand Hotel was before responding directly to the sanctions from the Yinghua Merchants Association.

For a while, ninety percent of the previous business partners of the Demon City Grand Hotel severed their cooperation with it.

At the Yan Family.

Yan Yu also learned of this.

He even found out that the new owner of the Demon City Grand Hotel was Lin Dong.

”Master Lin ah, Master Lin, you really know how to make enemies wherever you go. Not only have you offended the four major martial arts families, but now you’ve also made enemies in the capital circle,” he said.

”Just you wait for your downfall.”

In addition to controlling Yan family’s business, Yan Yu held another position in Demon City, that of the president of Demon City’s Commerce Association.

Now, he also called on Demon City’s capital circle and the members of Demon City’s Commerce Association to start sanctioning Lin Dong’s Demon City Grand Hotel.

Not only that, but he also targeted Li Qingcheng’s Qingcheng International!

Meanwhile, inside the Demon City Grand Hotel, with the sanctions from both the Yinghua Merchants Association and Demon City’s Commerce Association, there were completely no guests.

Previously, people would come to the Demon City Grand Hotel for various business events, banquets, and numerous stars and tycoons would book rooms.

But now, it was eerily empty.

Forget about hosting events and banquets— even the online booking channel for the rooms was sealed off.

The massive hotel, with hundreds of floors and thousands of guest rooms, now had an occupancy rate of less than 0.5 percent.

Only a few people came to stay.

The former hotel owner and manager, among others, came to Lin Dong with worried faces.

”Mr. Lin, sigh, we shouldn’t have offended Ishii Koizumi. Now, our hotel has been economically sanctioned, and almost all of our business partners have canceled their cooperations with us.”

”Moreover, none of the famous tycoons or stars from the entertainment circles are willing to stay at our hotel anymore...”

The former hotel owner sighed. This was why he had been frustrated with Ishii Koizumi before but felt powerless to do anything about it.

Seeing this, Lin Dong laughingly said, ”Don’t worry, if they’re unwilling to come now, they won’t have the opportunity in the future.”

”Uh...” The former hotel owner felt that Lin Dong might be just talking out of anger.

How could something like this be possible?

”What, you don’t believe it?” Lin Dong asked with a smile.

The former hotel owner sighed, ”Mr. Lin, I think I should resign.”

It was clear he didn’t believe it.

And his purpose in coming was to submit his resignation to Lin Dong. In his view, Lin Dong had offended the Yinghua Merchants Association which was equivalent to offending the entire capital circle of Demon City, and the hotel was essentially facing bankruptcy.

He figured that since he had already sold the hotel to Lin Dong, it was better for him to leave early.

Hearing this, Lin Dong didn’t force him and nodded, ”Okay, if you want to resign, then go ahead.”

After uttering an apology, the former hotel owner left.

Lin Dong didn’t say much in response.

Instead, he turned to the former manager.

”What about you? Are you also here to resign?” he asked.

But the manager shook his head, ”No, Mr. Lin. You haven’t dismissed me before, so how could I possibly abandon the hotel and leave?”

”At worst, I’ll face bankruptcy with the hotel.”

Lin Dong patted his shoulder and said, ”Rest assured, the hotel won’t go bankrupt. Work hard, there’s a surprise waiting for you later.”
