Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1579: Chapter 912: Landing on the Island

Min Province, an endless expanse of water, stretching as far as the eye can see.

The once bustling and prosperous city is now completely submerged under the floodwaters.

This planet seems to have transformed into a water world in an instant.

At this moment, on the vast water surface, an advanced energy submarine slowly surfaces.

On the submarine, a Yangshan emblem is painted on its exterior.

This submarine uses spiritual energy as fuel, developed by rune technology. Its speed surpasses that of pre-apocalypse nuclear submarines.

This is the latest research achievement of Li Hanzhong’s team from the Yangshan R&D department.

With such an advanced energy submarine, conducting reconnaissance missions becomes exceptionally convenient.

Compared to spaceships or ships, the target of an energy submarine is not so apparent.

Moreover, in the depths, there are many mutant beasts. Even if enemies detect a large object moving underwater, they wouldn’t immediately suspect it’s an enemy.

At this moment, the energy submarine surfaces, not because they don’t want to proceed, but because the submarine’s sonar equipment has detected a giant floating island about one hundred kilometers ahead.

Inside the submarine, Tu Long, Wu Ying, and Han Xiangman have gathered.

They are the trio on this mission.

Wu Ying’s abilities are suitable for infiltration and concealment, while Han Xiangman possesses strong combat capabilities underwater.

Tu Long’s abilities are versatile, with formidable overall combat power.

This trio can handle any danger they encounter.

At this moment, the three of them look at the sonar’s feedback on the screen.

The image shows a massive floating island a hundred kilometers away, estimated to be the size of a mountain.

Compared to the large floating islands at the Dark Abyss Mouth, this floating island is certainly smaller in size.

But the advantage of such a floating island is its fast floating speed and remarkable maneuverability.

“Tu, what now?” Wu Ying turns to Tu Long.

Tu Long says, “Should we get closer?”

Han Xiangman interrupts him, saying, “I’m worried they’ll notice if we get any closer.”

“Let’s do this, the three of us will go. I’ll use my water attribute superpower to take you underwater and infiltrate.”

“We’re small in size and won’t be easily detected.”

Wu Ying nods in agreement, saying, “Captain Han is right. The three of us are less noticeable, and with the camouflage of the sea’s mutant creatures, we shouldn’t be discovered.”

Tu Long says, “Alright, let’s go have a look.”

With a plan made, the three quickly leave the submarine, entering the depths.

Mutant beasts are everywhere in the surrounding water, alongside mutant fish, mutant shrimp, and some mutant plants.

These mutant creatures now possess all sorts of strange organs and shapes.

One can only recognize that they might be fish or shrimp, but can’t differentiate what specific types they are.

A hundred kilometers might take a long time for ordinary people to traverse.

But for superpower users, a hundred kilometers isn’t much.

In less than ten minutes, Han Xiangman brings Tu Long and Wu Ying into view within the water currents.

Before them, a massive floating island has appeared.

Han Xiangman glances at Wu Ying, giving him a slight nod.

Wu Ying nods back, then presses his hands into the void, releasing black dark attribute energy that turns into thick shadows, enveloping the two of them.

“Ready.”

Wu Ying whispers.

“Let’s go!”

The three immediately infiltrate the massive floating island ahead.

Upon entering the island, Han Xiangman immediately senses the superpower attributes on this island.

A moment later, she looks rather upset, saying in a low voice, “It’s a fire attribute floating island.”

Wu Ying also senses it, saying in a low voice, “It seems the island lord of this floating island is most likely a fire attribute superpower user.”

Tu Long can’t help but say, “Wouldn’t Xiaohan’s powers be the perfect counter to the opponent?”

Han Xiangman shakes her head, “No, if the opponent is the island lord, then this would be his home territory. As a water attribute superpower user, I might be repressed.”

Tu Long furrows his brow, “Not necessarily. If the opponent’s gene recombination progress isn’t as advanced as yours, even the island lord of this floating island might not be your opponent.”

“Besides, we are together.”

Wu Ying smiles, “You two, let’s not forget our primary goal this time is not to kill this floating island’s island lord.”

Han Xiangman nods as well, “Wu Ying is right. Let’s first complete the mission and obtain the radiation bomb.”

Tu Long nods. Though he wants to kill a couple of Japanese right away to vent some anger,

he knows the difference between primary and secondary missions.

Tu Long asks, “Should we split up?”

Wu Ying thinks for a moment, “Let’s not split up. Going together is safer.”

Han Xiangman nods in agreement upon hearing this, “We don’t know the situation here. It’s indeed dangerous to separate. Let’s take a look first.”

“Where do we start?”

“Let’s first find out the distribution of troops on this island.”

“Alright!”

The three immediately start their actions.

This island is much larger than they imagined, estimated to be twice the size of the previous Yangshan.

The island’s shape is an irregular oval, with a volcano-like mountain in the center, molten lava bubbling in the middle, spewing thick sulfur smoke into the sky, occasionally erupting with a tremendous roar.

The trees on the island are lush, indicating rich soil resources and abundant crop cultivation.

The three stop in the deep forest’s shadows, discussing together.

“The island’s defense strategy is tight on the outside but loose on the inside.”

“I saw that the outside is almost guarded every three steps, with strict defenses, and there are many radar-like stations built on the nearby high ground.”

“That’s right, but the interior defenses seem to be a bit more relaxed. Have you noticed something?” Han Xiangman whispered.

“What?” Tu Long asked.

“Those people working in the fields don’t seem to be Japanese.”

Wu Ying immediately nodded, “I noticed it too. Those people are probably the survivors from Guangdong Province and Min Province.”

“Did you see their military base?” Tu Long asked.

Han Xiangman shook her head, “No, although there are quite a few houses on this island, it’s clear they aren’t facilities like a base.”

“Is it hidden by a Rune Array?”

“It’s not impossible.”

“What do we do now? Wandering around aimlessly like headless chickens won’t work.”

Tu Long frowned and said, “I say we just catch one of those little devils. I can’t believe we won’t be able to make him talk.”

Wu Ying brightened at the words.

Sometimes the simplest method is just as brutal.

But Han Xiangman immediately asked a question, “Do you know Japanese?”

The two were taken aback; they were regular workers before the apocalypse.

Tu Long was a property manager, and Wu Ying was a delivery guy.

Their understanding of Japanese probably only extended to phrases like ‘yamete’.

Han Xiangman had a bachelor’s degree, but her major was in banking management, and she hadn’t been exposed to Japanese either.

If you don’t understand Japanese, catching a Japanese soldier wouldn’t help with interrogation.

Wu Ying and Tu Long were troubled.

Tu Long couldn’t help but say, “How about I go back and ask if anyone on our submarine knows Japanese?”

Han Xiangman shook her head, “That’s a waste of time. I have an idea.”

“What?”

“The people over by the fields should all be from Dragon Country. We’ll find a way to rescue a couple and ask them. There should be someone among them who knows Japanese.”

Wu Ying’s eyes lit up, “This idea is good. These Japanese want to give orders to these people; they definitely need to solve the communication issue.”

“Either someone among them knows Japanese, or someone among the Japanese understands Dragon Country’s language.”

“In either case, we can catch someone who can communicate.”

The three of them decided and immediately sneaked in the direction of the fields.

At this moment, there were about five thousand people distributed in different areas of the fields.

Most of these people are ordinary folks, since under the bombing of radiation bombs, it’s almost impossible for Superpower Users to survive.

If they are alive, they are just mutated monsters whose consciousness had been devoured by hybrid genes.

“Damn it!”

Suddenly, a shout in Japanese erupted, and they saw a Japanese person at the edge of the field pick up the whip in his hand and lash it fiercely at an old man.

With a snap, the old man screamed miserably and collapsed to the ground.

The clothes on his body were instantly torn apart by the whip, and his skin was beaten bloody.

It turns out the whip in the Japanese soldier’s hand was twisted from barbed wire from the surrounding fences.

The wire was full of hideous and sharp barbs, a single lash could peel off a layer of skin.

The old man collapsed after taking a lash, initially able to scream, but gradually unable as the blood loss increased.

The Dragon Country people beside clenched their fists tightly, grinding their teeth, but all kept their heads down, nobody dared to speak.

The Japanese soldier laughed, his face full of disdain.

He stepped forward, casually grabbed the old man’s sparse hair and yanked him upright.

Then he fished out a sweet potato-like tuber from the man’s bosom.

Obviously, this was some kind of edible plant root.

This type of food was the main crop currently grown in the field.

The old man was clearly starving, trying to hide a piece to take back.

Then this scene unfolded after being discovered by the soldier.

He held the tuber, his face ferocious, and started scolding.

“Are you Chinese bastards trying to steal the Emperor’s food? From now on, whoever steals will end up like this too!”

He spoke in Japanese, which many present people did not understand at all.

But soon a young woman ran over, her face ingratiatingly smiling, and stood beside the Japanese soldier.

She first spoke a few words of Japanese, then the soldier’s face showed a slight smile, following which he smacked her butt viciously and pointed at the people present.

The woman turned to her former compatriots, her expression arrogant, and scolded: “Captain Sato says, you Chinese bastards dare to steal the Emperor’s food? Anyone who dares to steal anything in the future will end up like this!”

She then looked curious and turned her head toward the Japanese man named Sato.

The Japanese man grinned cruelly, pulled out a knife from his waist, and in front of everyone’s eyes, dragged the old man’s head back.

This movement forced the Dragon Country elder’s head to look back, exposing his wrinkled neck.

Sato then pressed the blade of his knife against the old man’s neck and let out a bizarre laugh.

Then he lightly slashed!

With a squish, the old man’s artery was slit open, and blood gushed out!

The elder immediately started violently struggling.

However, Sato held onto his head firmly, like slaughtering a chicken, lifting the old man up.

The old man’s legs kicked around on the ground, eyes widened, mouth trying to say something, but only a lot of blood sprayed out, producing a leaking ‘hiss’ sound.

Finally, he exhausted his last bit of strength, and stopped moving.
