Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1481: Chapter 814: The Third Yangshan Conference

Liang Yuan thought it over and felt that organizing a newspaper was indeed necessary.

For the residents at the lower levels of the Shelter, being able to understand the policies from Yangshan promptly is essential to respond to their policy content.

And since the Inspection Department is the largest intelligence department in Yangshan, it is naturally the most suitable for this kind of work.

The continuous sound of cameras clicking filled the air as Zhuang Shuyuan, dressed in an elegant gown, exuded a confident aura amidst her nobility and grace.

She thoroughly enjoyed the taste of power under such spotlights.

Raising her head to look at Liang Yuan seated at the head of the table, a hint of infatuation appeared in her eyes.

That man really drove her mad with love.

It wasn’t just him, it was also his position.

Liang Yuan did not notice Zhuang Shuyuan’s gaze, instead, he exchanged a glance with a technician beside him.

The technician backstage gave him a slight nod.

Only then did Liang Yuan take a deep breath and tap the microphone on the table.

“Hello? Hello?”

With the speaker’s static noise, Liang Yuan’s voice spread throughout the venue.

The conference room gradually fell silent.

“Is everyone here?”

Granny Li glanced at the sign-in sheet and smiled, “Everyone is here.”

Liang Yuan nodded and smiled, “Alright, I hereby declare the third Yangshan Conference officially open!”

Immediately, applause resounded below, and everyone turned their gaze to the conference table.

Liang Yuan began to speak, smiling, “The last Yangshan Conference was when I went to the military for trouble.”

“Time flies, in just under half a year, the military has now joined us in Yangshan and become one of us.”

Everyone immediately laughed.

Sitting in front, Feng Jiangong and Zhang Yujiang blushed and looked a bit embarrassed.

Liang Yuan said, “I say this to tell everyone that what’s past is past.”

“Now that winter is over and the ice and snow have melted, no one expected winter to last so long, snowing for almost a whole year.”

“It hasn’t been easy for everyone to endure; Yangshan isn’t about destroying someone, it’s about surviving and protecting ourselves in this disaster.”

“But if someone won’t even give us this bit of hope, then we must fight! We must risk our lives!”

“Now that the ice and snow have melted, winter is over, and Yangshan has been inundated, but we have not.”

“Our homeland, from the early few mountain peaks, has now expanded to six Floating Islands!”

“Besides the Floating Islands, we’ve also occupied three Floating Islands in the air, which we’ve earned through everyone’s efforts.”

“These islands are the foundation of our survival on this flooded land.”

“However, everyone!”

Liang Yuan’s voice deepened, and everyone felt a tremor as they heard him say, “Some want to seize our territory, to invade our homeland!”

“Carey Technology Company and Mengya Company, these two powerful forces from Yu Province, instead of properly developing their territory, have already extended their reach here!”

“In the skies above Linjiang, the five Floating Islands, the islands most suitable for living, were initially occupied by them!”

“Now, through our efforts, although we’ve taken them back, they will never let it rest.”

“So, we can’t rest easy yet.”

“As the saying goes, without foresight, there will be immediate concerns; these two companies are enormously powerful and won’t just watch the prize slip away.”

“They will certainly take action, and we cannot afford to be complacent!”

Everyone’s expressions were grave, understanding who Yangshan’s major enemies were now.

These two massive forces from Yu Province developed spaceships and battleships in their large Shelter before Guangfu’s military!

Liang Yuan said gravely, “Of course, while we guard against our enemies, we must not forget our roots.”

“What are our roots?”

“It is development!”

“Now relocated to the Mirage Snake Space, our territory in Yangshan has expanded, our population has increased, but this also means more work for everyone.”

“We are at a stage where many things are still waiting to be done, and no department can stand idle.”

“So, the next time belongs to the department heads; come forward and speak freely about your plans and your phased achievements.”

“First, let’s have the Construction Department, Old Ma!”

Upon hearing this, Ma Guocai quickly stood up, walked to the front, and sat down beside Liang Yuan.

He held a stack of documents in his hand, which were pre-prepared reports and the like.

“Ahem, hello everyone, I am Ma Guocai from the Construction Department.”

“This year, there are many new faces, so this old man needs to introduce himself again.”

He smilingly introduced himself; among the audience, whether old faces or new ones, how could anyone not know him?

Even those newly ascending from the lower levels as middle-level leaders knew who Ma Guocai was.

Perhaps only some recent arrivals on the Floating Islands weren’t acquainted with him yet.

Without much preamble, after briskly introducing himself, Ma Guocai began to detail the Construction Department’s achievements during this period.

“Our department’s main projects in this phase include the relocation of Little Straw Mountain, the reconstruction of the Floating Island base, and the reconstruction of the Floating Island base’s three main areas.”

“Honestly, among these, the Floating Island base and the Floating Island base aren’t anything; the project with the largest amount is, I think everyone has seen it.”

“That is the transformation and construction of Little Straw Mountain.”

“I believe everyone has toured it once and hoped everyone is satisfied with the answer our department has provided.”

“Honestly, the construction period was a bit short; I am quite unsatisfied myself.”

“Our future work focus remains on infrastructure.”

“Now that six Floating Islands are gathered, it is imperative for them to establish connections, and infrastructure development is vital.”

“We plan to construct five floating bridges centered around Mirage Snake Space to connect to the other Floating Islands.”

“Secondly, new plans for the five Floating Islands have been released, and everyone can provide some references.”

“Among them, the Dark Abyss Mouth on the Dark Attribute Floating Island might be used to develop the breeding industry. In the dark environment, mutant beasts are less likely to escape, making concentrated breeding and slaughtering easier. Yangshan Farm and Yangshan Slaughterhouse will be constructed there.”

“Additionally, a base needs to be built, where the Legion will be stationed, with Dark Attribute Superpower Users given priority to sign up.”

“In Mist City on the Ice Attribute Floating Island, the focus will be on cultivating Ice Attribute Exotic Beasts…”

Old Ma’s report, though he tried to shorten it as much as possible, involved so many engineering projects that even though he spoke succinctly, it still took two hours to finish.

After Old Ma finished, Granny Li and Song Wen from the Agriculture Department came up to report.

This conference was more grand than the previous two, and the duration was quite astonishing.

The entire conference lasted a full three days.

During these three days, the conference sorted out various aspects of Yangshan, including administration, military, agriculture, research, and medical care.

The departments within the shelter became increasingly clearly defined in their roles.

The shelter increasingly resembled a mature and stable social system.

Liang Yuan’s role was akin to a president, with each department having its function, ensuring the smooth operation of the entire shelter.

It took a full three days for the conference to conclude.

With the newspaper from the Inspection Department published, ordinary residents rushed to buy, eager to be the first to understand the policy dynamics at the top.

Feng Jiangong was a resident of Yellow Earth Divine Origin, originally seeking refuge on Cangqiong Mountain, later controlled by the military, living in military-governed territory.

Later, Liang Yuan took control of Guangfu, relocating residents from places like Cangqiong Mountain to Yellow Earth Divine Origin and Miyuan Rainforest, breaking up their small, cohesive groups and reintegrating them into the larger community of the Yangshan Shelter.

Feng Jiangong was among this group of people. He was unlucky; though he awakened his superpower early, his ability was quite ordinary.

He was just a common Strength-type Superpower User.

He could only rely on hard work to supplement his household income.

However, he was luckier than most; his wife and children hadn’t gone missing during the great flood.

But this brought him enormous pressure in life.

Others might have enough without much effort, but he had to scrimp and save to ensure his family had enough food.

This time, he followed Yellow Earth Divine Origin to Mirage Snake Space.

He saw the development of Little Straw Mountain, filled with excitement.

The next day, he took his wife and children for a stroll around.

His daughter asked him right away if they could live there.

Feng Jiangong immediately tried to find out what conditions were needed to move there.

Upon inquiring, he learned that currently, Mirage Snake Space has strict control, prohibiting population inflow, and everything must wait for new policies to be issued.

So, Feng Jiangong practically stayed around every day, waiting for the Yangshan conference to end, eager to see how the new policies would be arranged.

“Newspapers for sale, newspapers for sale!”

“First issue of Yangshan Daily, chronicle of the three-day Yangshan conference ending, new policies released, come take a look.”

While walking around Little Straw Mountain’s leisure plaza, Feng Jiangong suddenly heard such shouting.

He was startled, quickly turning his head to look.

A large crowd rushed over, surrounding the newspaper-selling boy.

Feng Jiangong hurried over, hearing the crowd around him asking loudly.

“Yangshan Daily? Young man, is this Yangshan Daily real?”

“Of course it’s real, it’s the official newspaper published after the Inspection Department review, all the information is absolutely true, take a look, there are photos, too.”

The newspaper boy promptly opened the paper and waved it before the crowd.

“Hey, slow down, slow down, I haven’t seen it clearly yet.”

“If I let you see clearly, how am I supposed to sell it?”

“You just need to see if there are pictures.”

“Hey, there really are! This, this is Mr. Liang!”

“Minister Zhuang is here, too!”

“Isn’t this Minister Ma from the Construction Department?”

“I see Li Qinghua, the captain.”

“Little newspaper boy, I’ll buy a copy!”

“I’ll take one, too!”

“I want one, I want one too!”

The crowd scrambled to purchase the newspaper.

Feng Jiangong also hurriedly spent Points to buy a copy, then stood in place checking the contents carefully.

As he read, he gradually showed an excited expression.

“The Management Department has issued a new policy; everyone can move from the Floating Island to this area!”

“As long as you have enough Points, you can relocate and register!”

Feng Jiangong was overjoyed, but then suddenly thought of one thing.

“The Points required for relocation are probably substantial, I must quickly accumulate Points.”

He looked around at the newspaper content again, the more he read, the brighter his eyes became.

The newspaper contained various policy information that gradually excited him.

These policies contained a wealth of information.

This information was his chance to turn things around!
