Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1476: Chapter 809: Lin Ya’s Thoughts

Leaving the milk tea shop, Liang Yuan checked the time and realized, unknowingly, that over two hours had passed.

“Heading back now should be just perfect.”

Thinking this, Liang Yuan started walking towards his home.

While at it, he familiarized himself with the surrounding environment.

Because in the Mirage Snake Space there isn’t heavy rain, the rain outside is blocked by the space, so there’s no need for sunrooms here.

On the other hand, because the mountain is covered with mutated sunflowers, artificial shade areas are needed instead.

The locations of buildings like the Leader’s Mansion and the complex haven’t changed much, the entire large plaza has expanded several times compared to Yangshan, becoming much more spacious.

Then, each functional department has individually constructed large buildings, not crowded together, with massive signs above their gates to help the Shelter residents find them for business.

In summary, the whole Little Straw Mountain has been reconstructed into a sort of city hall, with function areas concentrated together.

The residential area is not far from the function area, just next door.

The living area includes the complex building, leisure plaza, private trading market, and so on.

A little further out, it’s residential zones.

The residences of high-level leaders like Liang Yuan and the others are naturally closest to the core area.

It’s worth mentioning that places like farms and slaughterhouses have been moved to more remote forested areas, integrated with the agricultural park and such, forming an ecological integration.

After all, these places have a strong odor, not suitable for this place.

At this moment, after strolling around, Liang Yuan had a clear understanding of the layout of the Little Straw Mountain.

Not long after, he returned to the residential area and came to the front of his villa.

Before entering the house, Liang Yuan saw Liang Hong playing in their yard.

Liang Hong was riding a three-wheeled toy car, pedaling around the yard with sweat all over his head.

Several other kids were also riding wooden small bicycles, chasing behind him.

Occasionally, bursts of bell-like laughter could be heard.

In the yard, not far from the pavilion, Yang Mei and a few women were chatting and drinking tea, with some documents seemingly laid out on the table.

Liang Yuan walked over and glanced; he had some impression of these women – all of them were family members of the management level at the Shelter, with many serving in the management and comprehensive departments.

Upon seeing Liang Yuan, these women promptly stood up to greet him.

“Hello, Mr. Liang.”

“Mr. Liang is back.”

“Miss Yang, we’ll head back first, the proposals are left here.”

Yang Mei smiled and nodded, saying, “Okay, I’ll see you off.”

“No need, no need.”

“You’re too kind.”

“Goodbye, Mr. Liang.”

The group of women bade farewell, then called their children and quickly left the yard.

Seeing this scene, Liang Yuan chuckled, “What did they come for?”

“Isn’t it for the Yangshan Third Conference you’re holding the day after tomorrow? They organized the materials in advance and sent them over for you to see first, so you’ll have a clear idea when the time comes.”

Liang Yuan nodded with a smile, “That is indeed important.”

“Where did you go this afternoon? When I woke up and didn’t see you, Yanyan was looking for you all over.” Yang Mei casually asked.

Liang Yuan laughed, “I took a walk around the area, got a feel of the surroundings, it’s my first time back.”

“Oh, I was thinking of taking you out for a stroll together this afternoon, drinking really messes things up.”

Seeing her normal expression, Liang Yuan felt slightly relieved, it seemed she hadn’t discovered the matter from noon.

While speaking, she had already tidied up the documents on the table, took hold of Liang Yuan’s arm, and called out to Liang Hong.

“Dudu, time to go home, Daddy’s back.”

Liang Hong wobbled over on his little car, looking up at Liang Yuan with his round eyes.

Amused by his cute appearance, Liang Yuan picked him up and said, “Come on, let’s go home.”

The three of them returned home, where Dong Yan was organizing the documents needed for the meeting. She was still responsible for the Mulberry Forest section of the eco-park.

Additionally, the few mutant beasts she kept were all arranged by her to stay there.

Liang Yuan said with a laugh, “Yanyan, being so diligent?”

Dong Yan looked up, pleased, “Brother Liang, where did you go?”

“I took a tour outside, to familiarize myself with the layout of the entire Little Straw Mountain.”

Dong Yan couldn’t help but say, “Why didn’t you ask us to go with you? We could have introduced you.”

Liang Yuan smiled, “Seeing you all sleeping so soundly, I decided not to disturb you.”

Dong Yan stuck out her tongue, “Sister Wen’s wine is really good, just a bit too strong, Brother Liang, Sister Wen hasn’t woken up until now.”

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan said, “She drank quite a bit, so of course she’d wake up later than you.”

Beside them, Yang Mei commented, “It was because of Lili and Zhang Peng, she didn’t control it well, drank too much.”

Liang Yuan said, “Everyone has their destiny, worrying about Zhang Peng and Lili’s matters doesn’t help, we’re not the ones involved.”

“That’s also true.” Yang Mei nodded in agreement.

“Where’s Lin Ya?”

Glancing around, Liang Yuan didn’t see Lin Ya, feeling a bit puzzled.

Hearing this, Yang Mei said, “She said she wasn’t feeling well, made dinner and then went back to the bedroom.”

Dong Yan said, “Maybe she drank too much, Sister Lin Ya probably doesn’t handle alcohol well.”

Liang Yuan’s heart skipped a beat, guessing it might have been because of his intensity in the afternoon.

Thinking of this, he suggested, “Should I go check on her?”

Yang Mei said, “I’ll go with you to take a look.”

Liang Yuan nodded.

At that moment, the two of them arrived outside Lin Ya’s room.

Yang Mei gently knocked on the door and asked, “Lin Ya? Is it convenient to come in? My little brother is back, he wants to see you.”

There were some messy sounds coming from inside the room.

After a while, the door opened. Lin Ya first glanced at Liang Yuan, then quickly withdrew her gaze and looked at Yang Mei, saying softly, “I’m fine.”

Yang Mei reached out to hold her hand, pulling her to the bedside: “If you’re not feeling well, don’t get up. Sit down quickly.”

“My little brother knows a lot. Let him take a look, maybe he has some idea.”

Liang Yuan hurriedly asked, “Lin Ya, where do you not feel well?”

Lin Ya lowered her head, saying, “No, just a bit dizzy, maybe I drank too much. I’m already much better now.”

“It’s getting late, have you eaten yet? It’s just about dinner time.” Lin Ya smiled.

Liang Yuan looked at her, seeing that she appeared normal, and felt relieved before saying, “That’s good, let’s eat together.”

Lin Ya smiled and nodded, and the three of them left the bedroom together and headed to the living room.

Liang Yuan noticed that Lin Ya was wearing a long dress, covering her legs.

From the outside, it wasn’t obvious, but Liang Yuan felt that her walking posture was somewhat odd.

He sighed inwardly, knowing that it was his fault, feeling a bit guilty and somewhat heartbroken.

So, while serving the meal, Liang Yuan actively tried to make Lin Ya rest and not move around.

Yang Mei and the others saw this and also helped themselves, thinking that Lin Ya had not recovered physically after drinking.

During the meal, Lin Ya was still as before, not talking much, smiling throughout as she listened to Yang Mei and the others chatting, occasionally giving Liang Hong some food.

Although Liang Yuan was talking to Yang Mei and the others, his attention was actually always on her.

Seeing her behave almost the same as usual, Liang Yuan couldn’t help but chuckle.

After dinner, Dong Yan suggested going out for a walk to help Liang Yuan get better acquainted with Little Straw Mountain.

Liang Yuan agreed, but Lin Ya politely declined, saying she wanted to go back and catch up on sleep.

No one objected, and they awakened Song Wen, with Liang Yuan carrying Liang Hong, the family left the villa.

Watching them leave, Lin Ya’s tense nerves couldn’t help but relax a bit.

She just wanted to get up, but the discomfort from below suddenly made her frown slightly.

Thinking about the scenes in the afternoon in the room, even with her good self-control, she couldn’t help the blush on her cheeks.

“Alas~”

She eventually sighed and turned back into the room.

Lying on the bed, she didn’t read as usual but turned off the light, just staring at the ceiling.

Her mind was filled with miscellaneous thoughts, various scenes surfaced in her mind.

From the first time at Meidu Garden, when Liang Yuan crashed into her home’s floor-to-ceiling window, seeing her walking out from the bathroom.

At that time, he hadn’t become the present Mr. Liang, powerful, confident, invincible.

Back then, Leng Yuehua and the others could easily drive him away.

Later on the Queen, she ran into him again.

He had already become so powerful that everyone, including Leng Yuehua, was shocked.

At that time, in her heart, it seemed she had already marked his shadow.

Yet due to different positions, she thought everyone was just passing by each other’s lives, but didn’t imagine, the appearance of President No. 7 broke Leng Yuehua’s queen dream.

It also shattered her dream of wanting to settle down.

When they were driven into a corner by President No. 7, entering Mist City, it was then that they met Liang Yuan.

He was strong enough to easily capture Leng Yuehua and imprison all Superpower Users on the Queen.

She didn’t expect, after all the twists and turns, she would still end up in his hands.

Even less expected, she would assume the identity of a nanny and enter his home.

Everything really feels like a dream.

Lin Ya turned over and murmured: “Lin Ya, Yang Mei treats you as her best friend, how can you betray her?”

“Forget it, just treat it as a dream.”

She closed her eyes, tears slipping from her eyes corner, forcing herself not to think about it anymore.

However, the more she forced, the less her thoughts were controlled.

The absurd scenes from the afternoon, like a venomous snake, crawled into her mind, biting her heart, destroying her emotions.

She tossed and turned until there were footsteps outside, she suddenly held her breath.

She quietly picked up her phone, glanced at the time, it was already midnight!

Only to hear a slight sigh from the doorway.

“Lin Ya, are you asleep?”

It was Liang Yuan’s voice.

Lin Ya’s heart suddenly leaped with joy, but then she became a bit flustered.

Why is he looking for her so late?

Could it be…

As if thinking of something, her cheeks suddenly reddened.

Her body involuntarily twisted a bit, then quickly shrank back into the covers, not daring to respond.

Outside the door, Liang Yuan waited for a while, not seeing any response from inside.

He sighed inwardly, he could feel that Lin Ya hadn’t slept.

But she was unwilling to communicate with him.

Liang Yuan thought for a moment and said: “I want to talk with you for a couple of minutes, I promise I won’t do anything.”
